It's non-conventional by society's standards and very complex in how it's defined, and I think that sort of thing needs to be more widespread in media. Normalizing the vast nuances of relationships and how each one is unique.

And it makes remembering what happened in the last chapter, whether it was the previous week or two weeks ago, easy rather than having to reread multiple chapters to recall the context
