Koto is definitely damaged goods. From Aya's perspective, she's grown up a lot, but Erika sees her as someone who failed to grow up. She's caught in a liminal state by grief and heartbreak.

I was kind of hoping for Erika x Aya, early on. Cause, it would be the most unexpected and would be the most different from where their feelings start... . Now, I'm kind of rooting for the "No one gets together" route. All the pairings seem like bad ideas at this point.

It's not that I'm surprised by the porn, girls banging is great! It's that I'm surprised that the "documentary" actually worked. In other words, porn logic. And especially at a time where the story has been trying to convince us that there's more going on than just porn, that it's rejecting the mad scientist mom's stupid porn brain.

Hirose was the MVP of this chapter, hands down. "This needs to stop" and then all her little reactions throughout (and then Hatori's reactions to her)... chef's kiss.

Like Shio/Takamine was mega cute too, of course! They're the Cuteness Microwave Background and they feel like they got a little closer this chapter too! It's just Hirose stole the show.

The british English was really thick on this chapter. I wish they'd use normal standard English.

It's funny that English came from the Brits yet theirs is not 'standard'.

Funnily enough, I was just having a conversation with someone this past week about how the internet is causing British and American English to blend. It was after their phone gave both "canceled" and "cancelled" as auto-complete options, and they couldn't remember which one was the American spelling. Seeing more and more people/places adopt "grey" for "gray" or "axe" for "ax" &c. It'll be interesting to see what happens to spelling over the next 20 years.

*waggles a hand* Orthography is orthogonal to language and kind of irrelevant, so not really a "mess" per se. Shifts that were already in progress seem to have accelerated, and the rate of new words and new usages and senses for old words reaching beyond their in-group has become much more common on account of everyone being connected now. But that's just how language works. It's a really exciting time to be a linguist observing English, honestly.

PS: there's no such thing as "Standard" English. It's not French (and plenty of French people make fun of the Académie Française anyway).

So... What's next? There's a lot more going on in this time travel arc than I expected...

I have really mixed feelings about Undine being reduced to a comic relief snek after she tried so damn hard to murder Sara in cold blood, especially now that she's revealed that she knew Sara was innocent from the start. What a bitch.

Ooooh, that name switch is pretty good, though it can get more intimate still. I'm a bit surprised Kurumi held back on that.
