Still, cute story, and I do hope we'll get another one, as foreshadowed in the ending here.

I see it as Chisato, after realizing she gets to live, deciding what she wants is Takina and not holding back. She's always been a do what she wants kind of girl, and she's become truly honest about it. I think what restraint we did see in the show was the fact that she wanted the people she cared about to be okay without her when she was gone. It's obviously just one way to interpret the character, so if that's not how you see it that's okay.

Out of the bunch from this author, this one is my favorite. Writing and comedy feels true to canon. One tiny moment I loved was Chisato whining about being unwanted and Mika saying "you're wanted here. Do your job"

Here's hoping for a sequel!

I love how all the girls doted on Hikari. Mahiru isn't jealous because she's in big sister mode. Claudine cheering because her bed is Hikari's favorite. Karen holding her non-stop. Hikari being showered w treats, weepingly thinking she doesn't deserve to be friends with them all. And then the sheer relief that it was all a dream and immediately Hikari picks up Karen lol

I wonder if this AU continued, would she have returned to her normal body after regaining her brilliance?

Hikari: "Look! I'm a teenager like you all!"
Everyone: "...No, you're still our little Hikawi-chan <3"
Hikari: "Oh bloody hell!"

I think it's best if Ren's reputation gets destroyed (or Yoh just straight up kills him idc), and Yoh goes into the mountains to train. She's got a good punching arm already. She'll emerge from the wilderness years later as one of the world's greatest martial artists, and then ask Misaki for forgiveness.

But that's not going to happen in this manga, so I'm dropping it.
