The JLL translation is human and seems to be matching pace with the manhua translation here. The other one is cleaned MTL.

I love this series so much! I just reread the novel again. It’s so good! Author even released a couple new extra chapters too.

Might be because I haven't read the novel yet, but I'm struggling to understand why Ji youuan wouldn't just send a vid of her singing straight to Jing xiu? Idk seems more self centered to post it on social media.

Part of it might be that their separation was in a large part cause by Youyan putting their relationship in the shadow, focusing on appearances for the sake of her own career. I think being direct and public is also her way to say that she will not act as if she's ashamed or try to hide it.

Her goal is not just to say she loves Jing Xiu, which they both know. It's also to say she will respect and nurture their relationship.

I was about to say this. She needs to be public this time and that willingness probably helps Jing Xiu understand how much she's changed. Before, while they dated, she allowed herself to be publicly connected to male actors and that hurt Jing Xiu, among other things. She treated their relationship like something to be hidden.

Yeah, this is the answer. Yanyan needs to show Jing Xiu that she isn’t afraid to attach herself to her in the public eye. Even if it’s just wishing Jing Xiu a happy birthday. In the past, Youyan wouldn’t allow any degree of public acknowledgment of their friendship, much less relationship, so her now being the one to be open is important to showing Xiu that’s she changed.

Also, in case it wasn’t clear from the flashback, Yanyan is singing in French in the video.

All the talk of cheating, miscommunication, etc and I’m just thinking how she has a smart phone and could’ve pulled up any one of the millions of pictures out there to give examples. Like, literally no reason to give a full frontal preview.

Karin pushing the harem members to be honest about their feelings thus making this harem the least useless in history. Now the real game begins. Still hoping to see some of the harem members interacting so it shifts to poly.

One thing I like about this series is the author's palpable joy (probably derived from their experience in animation) in depicting bodies in motion, almost to the extent that scenes become drawing display pieces but mostly working as character beats.

For the purposes of the plot Erika didn't have to tip all the away over in her chair this time, and the Akebi family didn't absolutely need to spend several pages racing around while Komichi showed off her anti-grav powers. But I'm glad they did.

There's definitely an element of flexing to Hiro's style. I feel a lot of the time he's drawing these amazing pannels just because he can.

And it translates back to animation so well. I really hope we get a season 2 once the current arc is complete. We NEED the Tokyo and Stage Play arcs animated.

Or don’t? We don’t need the additional commentary when we can just wait for the next chapter. Personally, I want more of Karin and Riri. Karin’s great, she’s honest and open with her feelings and actions. And I think she could help Riri be more open and honest about her own feelings.

It would be pretty difficult, since I don't think the sex should be cut out.

Valkyrie Drive and Gushing Over Magical Girls prove you don't have to cut out the sex... not that I understand how either one got made.

With Valkyrie Drive it's in part a somewhat older anime, made as I think one of the last anime by Arms, the studio that made Queen's Blade. Which Queen's Blade and that studio were a different era of fan-service in general.

I think part of MahoAko's lower budget might have been due to the sexual nature of the series, but it's still surprising it was even made.

Regardless I think this manga is still more sexual than any of those, as sex is a core focus of the work.

I don't undersrand why hentai studios don't pick top-tier manga like this one, but then again they all just produce the cheapest hentai for male audience for quick bucks.

Maybe if it was the length of Shoujo Sect, but anything this length would warrant a full anime season and I think it would be tough for an h-yuri manga to get that kind of funding. And while MahoAko is sexual in nature, there is a running "plot" other than sex.

And as someone else mentioned, h-anime studios are really hit or miss on quality.

Honestly, this is a great solution. Unless you’re in the same major, more than likely you wouldn’t be in the same classes anyways. So meeting after class and spending time together that way would be the norm. Also, I’m glad the author is keeping the series going!

Idk, I just find all the negative reactions to be way overblown. Its really not that bad of a story. A bit rushed for sure, but I'm wondering how many episodes Rangrari was allotted by Riri. And most of the "criticisms" I've seen have boiled down to "I wanted a happy ending, so I think its bad".
