An absolute riot. Took a trope and stood it on its head!

For those of us (me) who are aaaaaangst sensitive, this had me going. But it worked out to an absolutely lovely ending. Yaayyyy!!

I had forgotten how absolutely hilarious this was!

I think I keep saying this, but this is simply wonderful.

This is magnificent!

What an absolutely wonderful story. The way they kept making themselves prettier and prettier for the other was magic. I think conveying chemistry between two people, especially increasing chemistry, is really hard in a comic. This story just nailed it.

There are so many gaps, without explanation, in the story line that I feel this is a teaser to see if it should be serialized. That, of course, gives us the option for the search for immortality.

Absolutely darling!!! She took a standard trope and ran with it, making something special.

My brain always shortcircuits slightly when I see maid but no Zanka.

Hi, I’m the cleaner-redrawer for this series. As such, I see it before almost anyone except, naturally, JQ. I also do not understand Japanese. So every month I misinterpret what is happening and expect deep aaaangst. So far it’s worked out. I love this series. I love this couple.

Cute, indeed. Sweet, no stress so far. What’s not to like?

Am I confused? Probably. This situation has nothing to do with a gay-perceived straight relationship. These girls are married. They present to the entire world as a lesbian couple. Even if they don’t think of themselves as anything but two people, they have explicitly put themselves on record as thinking that a same-sex relationship is fine and normal.
So why the slap? It seems totally out of character for Ruriko. And now I get confused, because I am unable to differentiate what I think Ruriko’s reaction should be and what mine would be. If I were in this situation, and was suddenly kissed by the woman I love, I would certainly not hit her. More likely would be that I would collapse in maelstrom of tears of happiness-confusion-fear of it not being real.
The conclusion. It’s a painful and unpleasant plot device.

This chapter is absolutely the sweetest and romantic in all 300 and some!

I actually really love this strip. But I don’t see how it can possibly be labeled as comedy. Although there are flashes of humor, it is generally relentlessly sad.

This is a fabulous 1st episode!

I keep reading this because I have come to really care about the characters, which seems to be the best reason to read anything. But, for goodness sake, it is not comedy. For the most part it is almost unbearably sad.
