From a distance this looked a bit like Adora and Catra.

People are talking about the love interest also being an assassin, but the impression I got was that she was just a member of the family who didn't want any part in the whole crime thing, judging by one of the goons saying "You're just a figurehead!" and her mentioning that she took her mother's maiden name.

^^^I'm pretty sure the designs are actually just concept designs from early in the show's production, not related to future episodes about time travel. Hence why they're called the 'beta' designs. Some fans speculate that they might be used for older versions of the characters but as far as I'm aware there's no actual evidence for that. If you have a source for where you heard about them being for a future episode I'd happily check it out.

I'm certainly no expert on the subject, but is it really that immoral in this context? The issue with stauatory rape is that the person can't consent, but if the two people involved are already a couple isn't consent assumed to a certain degree?

I'm not saying all examples of statutory rape are made okay if the two participants are already a couple. Definitely not. If Ookuma did sexual acts on Kanda while Kanda was unconscious or the like, that would definately NOT be okay. But in this case Kanda was under the influence of alcohol, but otherwise actively persuing sex with her girlfriend, something she'd be happy to do without the influence anyway.

I just think it's a bit harsh to call this rape, when I imagine there's a lot of couples in the world who've had sex while one of them wasn't in the right state of mind, and were perfectly okay with it afterwards.

Always nice to see yuri being combined with genre fiction. It's not done nearly enough.

Robin and Lucina are an odd pairing for me because I like to ship them as a couple as much as I like to see them portrayed as parent and daughter, and that applies for both Robins genders in both cases.

I like how, while not as explicitly romantic as the couple in the forefront, the other 3 biggest yuri pairings in the game (Hilda/Marianne, Petra/Dorothea, Annette/Mercedes) are all visibly together in the background.

I feel like this couple inherently requires the age-gap tag since at the start of the game Mercedes is 22 and Annette is 16.

There's actually something sweet about how they've kissed on panel so many times with only one of them being the one to initiate the kiss, but the first time they're really kissing each other we don't get to see it. I guess it's the rule of what you don't see being more effective than what you do see being used to illustrate just how beautiful the moment is.

Izetta Science Babies. I did not know how much I wanted this.

I'm liking the setting and premise so far, and I always welcome a story with a gay protagonist that isn't primarily a romance or strictly focused on them being gay (Which this seems to be), but that large exposition dump in the middle really should have been delivered through narration boxes rather than unnaturally spoken aloud by the characters in-universe. I know I'm definately not the only one who's reminded of Studio Trigger from this chapter, and that's a positive thing in my eyes.
