Hmm... I just keep reading this because I'm curious, but I'm not the biggest fan of this series even before all the different versions that keep resetting the story. It was maybe alright as a gag comedy manga, but since the shoujo manga protagonist shows 0 interest or even consideration of the rival as love interest even after a bunch of chapters, it feels more like forceful coercion with every subsequent chapter. Like most chapters start off with her trying to get the guy's attention, rival getting in between and proclaiming her love, her going along with rival, but next chapter she is oblivious as if rival never proclaimed her love. Rinse and repeat.

A good gag comedy that didn't get repetitive was Tomo-chan wa Onnanoko. It even had Yuri undertones. Another one that started out as a sort of gag comedy that actually became a good story was Hino-san no Baka. This one just falls flat to me.

Huh, a story set in today (at least pre-pandemic seemingly). It has ace and aro characters, smartphones (although this has been increasing in mangas recently, I've seen flip phones in some mangas), Japan's declining birth rate, women on bikes just being chill, a sexually active kid (although a little too exhibitionist to be realistic). I really like this.

Still waiting on a during pandemic slice of life manga about an established couple. Really hoped Inui Ayu Sensei's autobiographical work would've gone into that but it didn't. Neither did any of the other SoL mangas of established couples.

At first, I was like "Is this going to be like that other story where the girl is a sub and the tsundere character is an (unknowing) dom" but no... Miss Ojou-sama, if you call that "bullying", how can you expect that people won't want you to bully them even more? And given the commoner and noble setting and the implications it sets, why wouldn't it happen.

And bringing it back to the isekai aspect, how do you get through a game, hit every possible trope for a hidden romance flag and then be surprised when the romance comes to fruition.

All in all, it's a nice twist on the recent surge of isekai content. And as someone put it above, it is disappointing that it isn't meta-isekai, but still I find this pretty enjoyable over a standard isekai. It helps that the main couple act really cute.

She needs to go see an eye doctor and get those glasses updated lenses. Its trivial for glasses to have different prescription strengths for each eye.

Agreed. I have astigmatism as well as having different prescriptions for my eyes and I’m able to wear glasses most days with contacts for activities. I also can’t imagine someone “gifting” me my glasses. That’s such a personal choice and style preference. Not all glasses are made to fit every face with different widths and heights available.

I think this is based slightly older beliefs a well, when glasses were made with actual glass and the weight of the glasses mattered. Or it might be a condition I have no idea about.

And gifting glasses is plain weird. If someone has glasses they don't change them every day, they wear them for years. That's too much for someone to gift. Plus, there's the prescription aspect of it where you would probably want to test your eyesight again just before you buy to adjust for any changes. And match the style with how you generally dress or feel comfortable dressing.

The first 2 were definitely Yuri, but the last one shouldn't be. Freaking wholesome? Yes! Extremely cute? Yes! Yuri? Maybe not. To me that was a cute story about how much a dog loved its owner, and some magic shenanigans happened to show the owner that.

Wow WOW those first years have a great sense of beauty!! (is in the genes haha) ndeed Honoka is truly wonderful! in fact let's talk about page 2 and 3... specially 3, the eyes, omg they pierce right into my heart, so beautiful!!! and this is how you know the author is holding back her true power most of the times.

I'm in for more chapters focused on Honoka anytime!!! especially those were she realizes how great she is, but since we got this and the one with her sister recently maybe that won't happen TwT because you know... big cast.

I keep thinking how strange it is that we don't get any beautiful teacher or school nurse around here, well, maybe Kishi doesn't want to increase the number of characters at this point.

Honestly, that chapter where Honoka pulled a top move a couple of their chapters ago showed Kishi's true power with Honoka. And she is easily a bigger top than Kaoru when she really tries for it. And my theory as to why the first-years thought she was a model in that moment was because she smiled at her phone (in love Eli, but she doesn't acknowledge that yet). Eli loves every part of Honoka, but we all know Honoka looks best when she's smiling (in love Eli). And that was on display in that train car, so naturally anyone who witnessed it was instantly charmed by her.

Every chapter, I get the suspicion more and more that friend/fangirl actually knows. Last chapter it felt like bringing up the string of "coincidences" was prodding to see if it'd make MC confess to it, and this new chapter, she literally tells real life MC not to let her VTuber self retire. Maybe I'm reading too much into things, but the hinting feels about as subtle as a brick crashing through a window to me.

Yeah the part where she directly told her not to retire the Vtuber character feels odd. Maybe the whole reason she fell for this Vtuber is exactly because she knows it was her best friend and is actually just trying to coax a confession to confirm her suspicion.

We already had that happen with that other manga recently about the disciplinary committee member and the "delinquent" where the committee member is also working at a crossdressing cafe and the "delinquent" acts in love with the crossdressed version, but in reality is in love with the committee member and knew all her secrets.

It's a fun concept but it will get boring if way too many mangas just resort to it as the default twist.

Nice story. As a fan of Apex Legends, it's nice to see a Yuri love triangle right in the heart of the story. Apex is one of, if not the best at representation and LGBTQ+ support.

Regarding the chapter, it was a nice one, although the third wheel here doesn't feel necessary. Idk what extra purpose Fuuka can serve that the characters wouldn't realize on their own. I feel kinda sorry for her, she would never have a chance.
As a friend she was a nice addition to the cast, but the being in love part no.

The way I see it, we're at the point where Hinako helps Asahi get out of the "I will do everything for Subaru" mindset. The next step is for Asahi to start evaluating her life to see what she likes and wants. If this story were to progress perfectly to get the best chronological development for Asahi, the confession should've come a little later after Asahi starts exploring her own interests. But this obviously isn't a Shonen action/sports manga where enemies are always incrementally stronger as the season progresses. Hurt and hungover Fuuka confessed after she felt she was losing Asahi to Hinako for the nth time, and honestly good for her. This will probably drive Asahi to reevaluate the love aspect of her life first, which will be more dramatic than necessary and somehow hurt either Subaru or more likely Hinako.

At least that's my guess on what may happen. But regardless, this manga has been perfectly paced and heartwarming at the same time, a feat I've seen only a few mangas in this genre achieve - Kase-san, Early chapters of Nettaigyo wa Yuki ni Kogareru, the main pairing arc of Horimiya (First 70 chapters, I think), Wotakoi, and a few others.

Looking forward to the upcoming chapters. Whichever scanlation group this is, PLEASE DON'T DROP THIS!!!

I didn't realize it from the story. Given the jump in timeline jump Kishi-sensei pulled with Kanae and Haruka, and the fact that these 2 are pretty explicit about it all, it was really believable. You did too good of a job with the story @Tsuki-chan

But the art gave it away. Kishi-sensei has improved with their art so much since then, it was a little obvious after looking at the art.

I thought there were many hints: the art, the first two pages are exactly the same from the chapter, the fact they say they're a couple but they're not explicitly out, the sex tag.

I didn't notice the tags (usually don't do that to avoid spoliers, and yes it works against me sometimes). And about the couple thing, I wrote it off as another HarukaXKanae timeskip situation. I don't remember all the chapters, except for HonoEli and HarukaXKanae chapters because 1) There aren't as many, 2) I regularly reread them.

I'm just living out my fantasies through Kanae who is really nerdy but hardworking (and secretly very very into someone special)

Ngl, as much as there's the poly trio route with nakano, nagisa and sakurako, I am personally cheering for an akiho end with the other 2 ending up together.

I sense there will be some drama between the two of them and their past, as well as some more drama with sakurako and the tsundere neighbor and her gf, but those are the final ends that I'm cheering for.

At some point, Mio seemed like a salvation for Shizuka (and she still probably may be that in the future), but right now this does feel unhealthy for the 2 of them. Shizuka is still hung up on Kaoru and Mio is becoming exceedingly possessive of Shizuka. And to think that Mio started off as the run-of-the-mill kouhai who liked their senpai. She's tracking to reaching non-violent yandere levels of possessiveness if Shizuka doesn't get over Kaoru soon.

That said, this is actually one of the more interesting dynamics in this manga, a few levels deeper than most of the other couples, so colour me intrigued.
