My point is more that Team GJ has developed a story that has only 2 types of readers:
The ones that want Seju and Sumin to get back together (“meant to be”)
The ones that don’t want them to get back together rationally, but anyway go and engage with the story the most when Seju and Sumin are on the same scene together.
In other words Team GJ has created a story where the only thing that matters is Seju and Sumin’s past and present relationship. Nobody cares about sweet Sungji and Dowon because they are simply not made to be interesting enough; instead of spending time making them interesting, Team GJ gives us more Sejumin flashbacks, reinforcing the whole concept.
Well then I'm not belonging to these 2 types above and I'm sure i'm not the only one who take another type which is, Sumin better stay far away from Seju, at least for now until Seju gets healed. By that I mean, I hate to see any scenes that have them together and I don't even like to talk much about that. I wanna focus on Seju's present and future more, but since I notice not many like to discuss about that HERE so I always choose other places (currently mangago and discord). Then in case you wonder why I don't like to see and discuss about Sumin x Seju, it's simply because Sumin can't bring the happiness that Seju needs from the start, she always seems too indecisive to me, she couldn't answer determinedly whether or not she wanted to get married to Seju someday, she couldn't take a first step to ask Seju further about her family issues, help her deal with it and also handle Seju's distorted personality. In other words, Seju was just too much for someone like Sumin, it's not because Sumin is bad or something like that, it's just that Sungji was the person on the same level as her, she fits Sungji a lot better than Seju.
As for Do Won, I don't think she's as pure, innocent, uncomplicated like Sungji. She seems to have a lot of baggage too considering she did run away from Seoul, go back to Jeju island and work at a deserted villa for 3 years. She may look dumb, silly but she did sensitively notice Seju has problems, and try to talk with her about it, which eventually help Seju open up more in return. As of now, Seju also said she isn't very used to things like that, having somebody being that worried for her. Well, I bet someday she would be addicted to it.
As for Sumin x Sungji, I can say their relationship seems clique, boring, uninteresting as compared to Seju x Sumin. But I don't get why some people still think Sumin just chose Sungji in order to kiss the pain she has with Seju away, that her relationship with Sungji seems more safe than with Seju and that Sumin doesn't love Sungji as much as Seju. Well to me, Seju x Sumin is dead for too long, especially in those last chapters of the main story where Sumin was so scared of losing Sungji or causing her more pains. Sometimes I really have to think: "if only she can also treat Seju like that".
- Sumin burst out in tears over Sungji's departure, wasn't even affected much when Seju gave her a farewell. To her, Sungji matters more.
- Sumin didn't even send Seju off and still had a happy Valentine's day with Sungji, whether or not Seju was there, Sumin's all fine.
These small details are enough for me to beg Sumin to not returning to Seju's life ever again, while Seju was suffering too hard of how to live a life without Sumin, yet Sumin on the other hand was doing very fine without her. It's nobody's fault. It's only a difference between "still in love" and "no longer in love". I've never once thought Sumin and Seju were meant to be either, they failed in many things which I don't have much energy left to mention about.
So it's better to just put everyone out of their respective miseries and let them get back together. Because Team GJ said this is a story of healing but I haven't seen anyone healing yet, least of all the readers, who are still crazy reactive to any SejuxSumin scenes if the FB group and some others are any indication. It's super interesting, like...chapter full of SungjixSumin? 10 comments....SejuxDowon? same...SejuxSumin? 100+ comments and people literally going nuts writing essays.
It's because the latest chapter also focused about Sumin's taking revenge on Seju to make Seju hate her and give up, and the same topic about "Who's at fault" repeated over again. I guess it will never stop as both Team Black or Team Pink all have their own argument to defend their favs. In short, it is WAR, nothing to feel proud of. Tbh, Seju and Sumin were too toxic to one another, they should have just stayed away from each other's life from now on. And even if Sumin might someday get mature enough, realize her mistakes, apologize to Seju and ask for her forgiveness. It's not like Seju will also stay at same spot to give her another chance. Vice versa. Time passes, things change. We all know that.
The reason some people think Seju and Sumin fit better is because of their strong unbreakable bond that has been built for 17 years, Team Gaji showered us with a bunch of their flashbacks, our points of view would change if they show us more of Sumin x Sungji and Seju x Dowon in the future. I don't know about others but as one member of Team Pink, I really hope Seju would get together with anyone else, but Sumin, as nothing will change even if they got back together, if yes it would be just a little bit. Seju's past and upbringing is awful enough, I hope to see someone protect her, not her to protect or treasure anyone even when she doesn't have enough mental stability and strength to do so. In short, I don't want to see a fake Seju anymore.

Lol at this point I started to feel envious of Seju if Do Won will really become her girlfriend later on. I mean, she's totally my type lol. Sweet, cute, soft, sincere, tall, sexy, tanned (healthy), handsome, understanding and now even muscular. I bet there are well built abs under her shirt too.
Anyway, I'm really glad there is no Sumin in the first two chapters so far, I'm really tired of flashbacks and hope there won't be more of it. So in the latest chap Seju has finally opened up to Won a little more as expected, a nice progress compared to last chapter where the poor caretaker had to received a cold treatment from her new boss. I'm really amazed at Won's carefreeness, like she always has something that won't disappoint me lmao. She asked to stay over for one night in Seju's room just few hours after they first met hahaha. Then next scene Seju was only staring at her meals and fangirling Won's muscular arms lollll.
I can sense that we're going to see many new sides of Seju from now on, her shaking head after diving in lewd thoughts, her obediently following boring timetable, dining with someone else besides Sumin and her making the first step to approach a stranger are really rare to us readers. More importantly, her giggle after teasing Won, well even though she brushed it off when realizing it wasn't "right" loll. I hope to see Seju speaking out her thoughts and smiling more often. I want to see her shy expression as well loll.
This new character just totally goes out of my expectation, I never thought she could be this soft and I wouldn’t say she reminds me of Sungji or young naive Sumin. I don’t want to compare them since every character all has their distinguishable traits. Although she’s soft and somehow pure, innocent like young Sungji/Sumin but I guess her mental health is much stronger than any of them. Plus, she has that physical strength (carrying heavy stuffs: piece of cake) and attractive appearance that we haven’t seen from any characters throughout the entire story.
The first chapter seems perfectly fine to me, slowburn perhaps, although Seju was annoyed by Dowon’s persistence on giving her food and her carefreeness towards an employer lol, at least she’s not an indifferent idfc-type character who easily left bad impression on readers and most importantly, she’s CUTE!!! She’s out-going, friendly to everyone I guess, and treat people equally without asking for return. These traits are what Sumin didn’t have during the time she spent with Seju, Sumin always has that kind of inferiority complex around Seju, feeling like she’s never enough for Seju or even out of her reach. However Dowon didn’t really consider Seju as her boss, it was like she was either trying very hard to make friend with Seju or lighten Seju’s loneliness when she saw her in her own little world, all genuinely. She didn’t give up even though Seju had given cold shoulder to her few times, I don’t think Sumin would be able to do so if the first time they met Seju was also cold-hearted to her like this. Well even though I don’t want to make comparision here but she looks much hotter Sumin, regarding her body, height, tanned skin and also hairstyle. I guess Team Gaji really spent efforts for this character design and generally Dowon seems like a perfect match for Seju, I’m only talking about appearance here, but maybe she also has an interesting history that may force a friendly person like her to work in an empty villa where she almost has nobody to talk with, hence her emotionless face looked much happier the moment she saw Seju arrive lol. In my opinion, she is running away from something.

I only said IF. She can turn out to be Seju's friend in the end tho. However the fact that she's the first one to be introduced with a Full Profile besides the three main characters does make her a not-mediocre character. Not even Nammi or Dawoon got it.
Why Seju's new love interest has to make an appearance sooner in main story? Isn't real life full of unexpected occcurences? If Seju ends up with someone else then Team Gaji wouldn't put her name together with Seju when they listed out the order of their scheduled side-stories. Whoever she is, I'm perfectly fine if she can make Seju happy. But of course I'll hate her to guts if she's a jerk.
Well, I think Seju's life has been fuvked up enough, she shouldn't be forced to swallow more unnecessary drama. She needs a stable life, not another tiring triangle relationship.

Considering TG's tweet on the upcoming schedule when the last chapter of Paradise had just been released, we're going to see One very soon: "Next episode will be a one-shot sidestory about Sumin and Sungji at the present time, then side story One will be updated starting from next episode".
Considering how they put One as teaser along with that BIG Coming Soon in the last chapter 93 of main story and their efforts to create many new 3D backgrounds for One. I guess this 2nd side story will be the longest one (main one) of all. Falling in love will happen in a blink of eye if Dowon is an +++amazing character. It all depends on the way she approaches and communicates with Seju.

There is no way Seju could be walked out of negativity because the negativity was ever-present in her life. It was not some kind of perception in her mind, it was a reality. If you are abused by your family, you can't brainwash yourself into being positive. The fact that Sumin took Seju as she was though, at the time was for the best. She should have been tougher on her sure, but realistically I guess that's too much to expect from a young person. So considering how young they were, and all the tragedy that happened, in my opinion that they still kept together one form or another shows a depth of love that, no matter its flaws, is too rare to be replaced. But hey that's just me, Team GJ will do whatever they like.
Well, I have to disagree with you on this point then. It is like believing that nothing will change yet if we see it in a more optimistic way, Seju somehow can walk herself out of negativity too once she’s willing to open up her heart and see the world from a different angle, but it’d be more faster and easier if there’s someone enlighten her about the ups and downs in life. Frankly speaking, Seju is now required to receive life lessons like a beginner because nobody has taught her these before.
There’s also the certain saying written by a Japanese idol to encourage one of her depressed fan due to family abuse that I like very much, which is: “If you hate the world you live in then all you’ve got to do is go out to a different world, these types of people aren’t the only ones in the world so it’s possible for you to meet people with cool thoughts as well” or my friend sometimes told me this “Just because you haven’t been able to witness a certain thing, it doesn’t mean that it never exists”.
So should we negate one’s future based on their past? I believe there are going to be a lot of changes planned for Seju in the next side story since she left Seoul and is about to meet new people at another place, most of which will undoubtedly exert a huge impact on Seju's future life, also somewhere that she’d never see her hateful insane family or siblings ever again. Either she will be engaging herself in a hectic life or welcomed by happiness every single day, there’d be no space for her to think about the negativity she has gone through, of course someday it may pop up in her mind but she would no longer have heavy feelings for it by that time, considering that it’s over, nothing matters now, or simply put, she’s living in another world where no negativity remains now.
lol what the hell is happening here? Why you all have to fight so hard against people who are literally not on the same boat with you?
By the way, no matter how much I like Seju and I have no shame to admit she's the only one I like in the entire story, I can never disagree that Seju and Sumin is horribly toxic or Seju is hella wrong at some points (I'm not blinded by love that easily like Seju tho lol) since they couldn't complement each other in a healthy/positive way like SuminSungji, in other words, they can't bring one another towards a bright future. We can notice these traits clearly from the start, it's not a proper relationship to begin with if what you're doing is just dragging your partner DOWN WITH YOU (Seju) or letting them drag you down while reassuring yourself it's okay, I only need her, I can handle this much blah blah (Sumin). Seju's world is full of NEGATIVITY. She should've confided in Sumin and let Sumin brighten it up for her, but guess what, Seju just kept everything to herself while Sumin didn't know exactly what she should do to get out of that toxic world or even what the hell is going on with her girlfriend's mental state, she let that negativity swallow her instead. It's seriously hell, not paradise lol. You shouldn't force yourself to live as if there's only this person in your world, pushing others out to satisfy them. I consider the cheating & accident as two small factors that help accelerating their break up, sooner or later this will happen because they miscommunicated for too long, they never realized the problems themselves, hence can never fix it.
Sejumin will never get back together, it's not like you can take back the water that you've accidentally spilled onto the floor. They're too broken to mend now. People still prefer Sungjimin more because they're cute and HEALTHY even though they're somehow a boring pair to many as they didn't have that strong bonds like Sejumin. They're also the author's OTP if you tried to search for all of alggumba's tweets. Seju is rarely mentioned in the same post with the other two, she's also the last character to be created while Sungjimin often made appearance together and even have their own twitter account recently as well.
Seju deserves someone better, by that I mean, someone that is able to see through her vulnerability, love her for herself and walk her out of negativity, which is a MUST, or else her partner will just end up like Sumin too lol. I'm so looking forward to the next chapter, well let's see how this Do Won help her out.

She's getting mentioned the most because Paradise just literally finished getting published. That doesn't mean she's the most popular lol.
Besides, most readers of WDTFS who are Sungji/Sumin fans aren't gonna read a Seju-centered story you know, and that leaves for the Seju's vocal minority of fans to discuss about her.
Show me the evidence or you're literally lying.
I said if you’re willing to SPEND TIME doing some RESEARCH, you seemed to ignore the poll which is the most important factor I mentioned as well. There’s no need to explain more if you already had a conclusion of whom has most fans without making a bit efforts to dig deeper into each fandom to see if it’s truly this certain character that got more or less fans than the other. Furthermore, the fact that you’re so quick to jump into the assumption that I’m lying makes me quite speechless.
Find out it here yourself: https://ask.fm/gyeomji
Again, I’m just saying, it really is not that important to know who’s more or most popular.
Lol Seju doesn't have the most fans. Sungji and Sumin do. Seju fans are literally just the vocal minority lol.
If you're willing to spend time doing some research on a considerable number of forums, including aminoapps, facebook group, twitter, instagram, dcinside, weibo from the final chapter of WDTFS main story to the latest chapter, which may approximately last 1,5 years. Seju sometimes couldn't win over Sungji when WDTFS had just ended but currently Seju was mentioned most in every discussion (just saying) I will take this point out because her background is controversial. The mainpoint is, Seju wins in every consecutive polls regardless of choosing favorite photo or favorite character. Even if she was not dragged into a survey, it's still her who brings back most attention from readers. One time I went to Team Gaji's ask.fm and noticed that they did answer the character fandom (as of 2016) would be in this order: Sumin > Seju > Sungji. But as I explained, Paradise changes a lot. From what I see, it is Seju > Sumin >=~ Sungji now. Nevertheless, it couldn't change the fact that Sungji and Sumin is still a more loveable & perfect pair than Sejumin lmao

As for me, I never said everything Seju did was right, she paid ENOUGH for them all, she fought, she lost then she left so it should be over. At least at the current time specifically after Paradise I can see Seju has most fans because people now understand her baggage more yet if it's about end-game couple, we go for Sungji and Sumin more since Sejumin is extremely toxic.
I don't know which accounts/users you're talking about but as a Seju's fan, I never wish Sejumin happens, rather I hope they could stop this toxic cycle and move on as soon as possible from the very first chapters. Sungji can help Sumin become a better person and gain back her social circles by introducing Sumin to her friends, family,... something Seju could never give. I also believe there would be someone out there that could rebuild Seju's lifestyle, let her live her own dreams, remove negative mindset for Seju too. Of course it could never be Sumin. Therefore this is a happy ending to me.

Right, people reacts differently in the same cases. Pain is equal and you cannot say a broken arm is more hurtful than a broken leg to a football player. But what I mean is, losing parents is the experience that we eventually have to go through. Sumin still has Seju if she wants, Nammi and her 1st, 2nd...exgf. Yet she built up the walls, shutted her doors and pushed them out of her life even though they sincerely love her. What is that? Her world was still full of love but she never really gave them a chance. Like Sangmi said, treating people like toys, who can endure her if it's not angelic Sungji?
A normal person would never dive into an ambiguous love like that. Seju is not normal anyway. Moreover, it's really hard to find someone who has that much kindness like Sungji alive in this world.
I did put myself in Sumin's shoes, then I finally realize it's much better to live her life than Seju's. I also agreed with some opinions Matsuri gave out. Sumin only used her heart to warmly treat Sungji when she began to fall in love with her. What if she didn't love Sungji? The poor girl will be pushed away like others after her affection ran out. What if Sungji cheated on her like how Seju did? Another revenge? Simply said, someone like Sumin is somehow scary to me in real life. If you made a mistake and hurt her 1 time, she would hurt you back 10x harder. We know the best living-evidence here.
How I wish Seju's first love can be less painful too but well, it sucks in the end no matter how hard she tried. Sungji does have a much more beautiful first love than Sumin and Seju, some sufferings and she can have "forever". Well, never mind. Seju is flawed but she can be perfect if you are able to bring out the best in her, considering this, Sumin failed terribly since she just couldn't make Seju love her in a more proper way. I wish there will only be happiness for Seju's next love, NO MORE pain. On top of that, I'm looking forward to see the new (REAL) Seju. I have a feeling that ONE would show us many more sides of hers that we've never seen before.

Unlike Sumin who is loved by everyone in this world including her family, friends, teachers, colleagues, countless girlfriends and even the author. Seju has never been loved by anyone from the moment she was born, imagine yourself receive tons of hatred from almost everywhere without a specific reason just because you’re a mistress’s child as mentioned in the latest chapter 107. You were never treated like a human being, rather, as a business tool to satisfy everybody’s needs, you DID NOTHING wrong but still had to act as if you’re guilty of everything. Can you bear with that? She was never truly loved by anyone besides Sumin throughout her first 34 years, while Sumin who had lost her family at the age of 24, was loved by everyone prior to that and by Nammi, Sungji, 30 girlfriends even though she acted like an coward that never dare give her earnest love to them. Who’s worse? What did Seju do wrong to be treated so anyway?
Remember there were TWO times Seju suddenly burst out in tears, these were the signs she was mentally traumatized or triggered by the situation as she rarely cries, one time with Nammi she said “Nobody’s on my side” and one time with Sumin she asked “Why everybody so eager to leave me?”. The first two that need mentioned here are her PARENTS, one irresponsibly hang herself and let her child fight against the mess she left ALONE, one turned his back away when his daughter was humiliated by her siblings. This is where her insecurity and low self-esteem come from, how can she expect love from anyone when her own parents even mistreated her? A girl that was mistreated to the point that she couldn’t even notice her good sides now, that she thought it must be her own problems for being hated like that all along. She even defined herself as truly being useless, unworthy like they said. How much mistreatment Seju did get to be led this far?
Even when she was dating Sumin, she never did ask for more from Sumin, she was dead-insecure instead as she did wonder how long she could go with Sumin, afraid that her family will sabotage their relationship someday. While Sumin was the one who kept on promising FOREVER, Seju on the other side can only wish for a TOMORROW, that it would be enough if there is still another time (FOR US). If you watch closely, It was also Sumin who always drew out important decisions for their relationship, whether Sumin wanted Seju to stay in Korea, to go out, to have sex, to break up, to get back or to part ways, Seju all went along with her. She could never ask for a second thought from Sumin.
In short, Baek Seju lives for OTHERS for very long. Can you live that way for 34 years??
Did you remember the first scene of her in Paradise in 1998? That expression in the car and many more throughout the side-story should NEVER come from a girl who has just turned 17. She was forced to grow up faster than people of the same age. Her world was full of darkness until Sumin came, so it’s easy to see why she held onto Sumin obsessively for that long. She was basically scared of losing the only light she may have in her entire life, that after Sumin, there would never be anyone who could love her in that sincere way. If only Sumin could be senstive enough to see straight into the problems and point that out for her, their past love would never be this ugly-broken.
Lastly, the cheating in the office was never 100% planned by Seju in order to hurt Sungji, it was Sumin who asked to come to Seju’s office in the evening, it was also Sumin who suddenly admitted her love for both Seju and Sungji and was ready to resign for good. Surely Seju can manipulate Sungji into seeing her together with Sumin in the office, but if Sumin never said those things, Seju would never be able to be emotionally provoked in that way which eventually caused her to rush into Sumin and ask her for 1 last time. Let’s never forget Seju has mental illnesses, if she truly want to hurt Sungji she could have stolen Sumin right away. People sometimes wear masks to prevent themselves from being hurt too, if Seju was acting like a bitch, it doesn’t always mean she’s truly bitchy.

Well, guess it’s time to butt in and defend Seju even though this no longer makes sense as they both broke up and probably will never ever meet again.
First of all, I’ve got to admit that Seju was at fault that night when she cheated on Sumin only because of those misunderstanding and miscommunication resulted from the passings of Sumin’s parents. However, it DOES NOT give Sumin an excuse to treat Seju – someone she used to treasure most like a dog that can come and go whenever she pleases for almost a decade. Please remember, it wasn’t Seju who demanded her psycho brother to hurt Sumin in that terrible way, he did it because Seju was suffering all alone in her own bed that she even thought of committing suicide after the break up, while Sumin out there had moved on and was living her best life with other girlfriends of hers. He took revenge for his sister Seju, yet she DIDN’T know anything about that and was still willing to receive any physical or mental wounds from Sumin. Seju wrongly blamed the drink for her mistake but Sumin also put her anger on a wrong person, Seju cheated once when she was half-conscious, ok that’s wrong but Sumin consciously slept with a bunch of girls to only get Seju hear all dirty moans for revenge then the next second she got back to Seju because those girls couldn’t give her enough pleasure/happiness/right feelings or whatever. What now?
That’s not the way she should do to her most precious ex-gf. If Seju’s cheating and the scar left by her brother were that unacceptable for her then just CUT ALL TIES with Seju right away, act like a mature one even if it’s not easy. Just mercilessly draw the line like she did with her bff Sunhwa. Or Sumin took Seju’s love for granted? Or she still loved Seju? Then just get back to her or at least calmly sit down to resolve the problem. Seju didn’t ask Sumin to sleep with her anyway, if there wasn’t the first time Sumin got back to her, how could there be a second time and nth time up until now? Let’s not give her HOPE. Had Sumin ever stopped to ask her heart what it really wants? Or she also escaped reality like Seju?
It’s true both Seju and Sumin were at fault, Seju’s problems were her low self-esteem, insecurity, and obsessiveness. Sumin’s problems were her selfishness, spinelessness, and most importantly, indecisiveness. She shouldn’t go along with whatever Seju asked, but eventually she did, including that cheating on Sungji. Can you explain why Sumin has these problems? You all dislike Seju but have you ever put yourself in her shoes too? You know her for being bitchy but have you ever wondered why she acts consistently in that bitchy way?

Yeah, the two breakups are not the same in terms of motivations, reasons and circumstances. I would say that their third breakup would also be different in terms of such. Sumin is still working at Seju's company and living in the house full of her past with Seju. Which gives rooms for drama to happen if Seju still wants to hold on.
Seju already cut all ties with Sumin. She passed the house to Sumin and is no longer working at Hello Studio. Now she's moving to somewhere else, I believe Seju is not that kind of person who easily changes her mind once decisions are made. If she is leaving, that means she will not come back there. At least for a certain time until she can forget all memories about Sumin and treat her like a friend.

Nope. TG only said Paradise is a bit more than 10 chapters. We don't know anything about other sidestories' length. I don't like Paradise either since what past is past, nothing will change even if we look more into that, not to mention it's awful enough at the present. And apparently, i don't feel that Seju opened up to Sumin, she was just being approachable. I think opening up is when she is able to speak out loud her thoughts, her feelings, baggage and more. She basically keeps all for herself when staying around Sumin...
Well, some very good news has just arrived. According to Team Gaji's twitter, the last chapter of Paradise will be released next week Tuesday. After that, the author will take a two weeks break. Then finally, we can look forward to One - the side-story which most Seju fans are waiting for. The hype is real :)
nobody knows if it's the last chapter because the author said Paradise is a little over 10. Just hope it will end soon lol
Idk why you can say that Sungji was put in a wrong story, actually it should be Seju who should move to another story. From the start Gaji had formed the first two main characters: Sungji and Sumin, one is bright and one is dark, two of whom are purely made to be the endgame. Seju then appeared in their mind as an ex-gf to boost the main couple's intimacy. In other words, there would be no Seju if there's no SungjiSumin, she's only a supporting role who gradually draws interest towards readers and becomes this complex. Even if the story is dark, why would Sungji needs to be dark as well, what's wrong if she's being just the way she is, it's still Sungji that Sumin chooses even if she's boring and less interesting than Seju , each person has different tastes so Sungji's still the ideal type to many others. I like Seju most, I think she's much more attractive than Sungji but I have to accept the fact that many prefered Sungji, and I won't tell them it's wrong to think Sungji's perfect than Seju because we all have our predefined types of woman to fall in love with. Sungji helps brighten up Sumin's world a lot, unlike Seju who keeps dragging her down to hell. Memories from high school days of SuminSeju seemed very sweet, but to me it's no different than a sugar-coated bullet, the more you look into the whole picture, the uglier you'll see.
Paradise has come to ep 8 as of now, if I don't remember wrong then there are only 2 eps left before we can move to One. There would also be episodes of SungjiSumin's early honeymoon in between if Team Gaji isn't planning to cut it. So I think maybe we can see Seju's in bikini in only a few weeks. Wondering how goddess can she be. It seems obvious that Seju really likes beaches, hotels and resorts regarding previous posts and the info collected from Wdtfs. It's mentioned that Seju isn't working on her master degree and took over the office building where Sumin works, reestablished it to Hello Studio and didn't come to the company often anw. So that means she didn't chase her dreams but was working on something she didn't really like to just stay beside Sumin and win her back instead. Perhaps it's time for Seju to live for herself only, do whatever she wants to & realize many beautiful things in life she had not realized before. I feel that lonely people can find peace from the sea, wave sounds, beaches. Glad she finally has freedom

That's the point, they will break up eventually because Seju's being too clingly, manipulative, possessive. Also, I think Seju should be with s.o much stronger physically& mentally to take care of her all the time. S.o who can make Seju listens to, or else the r/s will always end up with her manipulating her partner.
I rmb some folks made few assumptions about Seju's future life that Seju may have built a hotel in Jeju island where she traveled to with Sumin. And the latest chapter suddenly got back to the scene SejuSumin shared their 1st kiss, following their plans of visiting Jeju? I don't think it's a coincidence. Maybe they're introducing an island where Seju is staying currently to move to the next sidestory. This must be a special place together with her mother's villa. I think Seju and this Dowon share many similarities in their personality, hobby, background. Her profile seems like a match made for Seju. So let's see if Seju likes swimming as well. She must be a very interesting, full of charisma character anyway bcz Seju's also beyond amazing, or else Gaji just needs to hook her up with Nami, Dawoon or the assassin for a quick happy ending lol. I have a feeling that she'd be the first one to be able to control Seju. But whoever she is, lover or friend, hopefully she can make Seju smile cheerfully again, this girl only needs a motive to live. She's hurt enough.
I think Seju herself has many problems to fix before she can fall in love with anyone, including Sumin. Among the three characters, Seju was born and grew up with the most complicated background which forced her to not trust and open up to anyone easily, Sumin seemed to only get to know more about Seju's dramatic childhood through her dad and Sehyun, so it turned out Seju still keeps many miserable experiences for herself as there's nowhere to pull out her wildest soul. You can see their r/s is lack of conversation and understanding, they always use silence to ease one another whenever they went through something bad. Remember when she asked Sumin "Why everybody's so eager to leave me?", I think rather than Sumin, in her mind the first two who wanted to leave her was her parents. One committed suicide because she couldn't bear with pressure received from her lover's family members, leaving Seju alone fighting them. One turned his back away when his daughter was humiliated by his other sons. The only two in this world who were supposed to love her most even treat her like that, then how can she find the power to put trust in someone else? She has a lot insecuries for people around her, that's why she couldn't give up on Sumin easily thinking that Sumin's the only one that truly loves and needs Baek Seju, so as soon as this woman leaves her, her only light will disappear and her world will crash down, filled up with darkness once again.
I must say Seju has low self-esteem, she shouldn't love anyone if she can't love herself first. Everyone treat her bad to the point she had to think she can just die because she's really useless, worthless. She started to live her life negatively and no one can change that lifestyle for her as they all didn't care about how she lives, while she didn't need them to bother her. The way she observes the world is very problematic, just like everyone is her enemy and things never change even when she's with Sumin. At least after the breakup Sumin still had hopes in life that she still can find someone for her someday. At least Sungji is there to help Sumin change. But who can do that for Seju? "No one's on my side" - she once said that.
Now she really has no one besides her brother Sehyun, no lover, no friends, no parents. She said she couldn't live without Sumin, but see? She's still alive and I still believe the scene of her with a rope was just her assumptions "What if?", that she didn't really intend to commit suicide. No one can't live without someone, nothing can't be given up. It's just that whether you really want to. I think you would regret less if SejuSumin only lasts about 17 months instead of 17 years. Time doesn't really matter, what matters is how the couple spent their time together. For SejuSumin it's toxic! Sungji fits Sumin more

Going on point. There was an invisible chain locking them from flying higher. Sumin deserves more than that. I can say as a gf, Sungji is better than Seju. She wants Sumin to have real happiness and knows it's not right to hurt pp you love just to make them love you. You see now Sumin has a healthier life with Sungji and she can do what she really wants with much freedom. It's best to be with someone that is good for you mental health. So now Seju has to realize her manipulative attitude which possibly arise from the insecurity and loneliness throughout her childhood is the biggest problem. Sadly Sumin was naive back then to notice and help her change it. That's why Seju deserves more too. Someone who is sensitive and strict enough to point out all the wrong and make her obey the right lifestyle. SuminxSeju already failed after they started dating. They were meant to be broken but Seju's stubborness and Sumin's indecisiveness led them this far.
I'm satisfied with your answer. Tbh, I didn't expect much from you either. I don't see the good side she has for Seju but at least I can admit she was amazing when they were dating and still is when she's with Sungji. But Seju is not nothing. No one is nothing. Everyone has bad and good points pls. You said like she's a jerk.. Soon Seju will meet better people and have a better life. As for you, Sumin is too good for Seju and I think Seju is too good for her so just stick with it.
I don't see the point of all these arguments. I only spoke out my opinion. Whether you'd go for or against, I'm totally fine. We all have our bias here which would change the way we see each situation a lot. The ending won't change no matter how much we disagree or agree. To Sumin, she was right. To Seju, she was right. To Sungji, she was right too. Everyone has their own reactions & solutions to a problem. At least in my view, Sumin is good when she's with Sungji. but with Seju? She's not. Let's say they're both poisonous to the other. Seju prevented Sumin from getting a normal social life. Your were right. She hasn't changed until now, I already said that's the problem that she has to learn fixing. Meanwhile Sumin, failed to show her love in the way that will lighten up Seju's world so that she is able to open her heart to those around. You may think they're cute. They're ok. Yes but if it keeps going on, I'm sure they will only depend on one another until their last breath. It sucks and is unhealthy. If their social life was normal like others, they could have been able to let go 10 years ago. Sumin admitted they're both cowards herself, chap 64. This mess is their faults. That hesitation of Sumin & that crazy obsession of Seju. Sumin's life is going amazingly now. She can be friends with Sungji's friends. Getting along with Sungji's family. Isn't it a big progress? She does not have to act confusedly and insecured towards them like when she was with Seju's fam or her friends.
By the way, another funny thing. Seju only has looks? Despite the fact she was born rich, she worked hard for herself. Did you know Sumin is smart? And don't you remember when they were learning for university entrance exam? chap 56 in Seju's bedroom. She helped the one who was called the number one in school tests by her friends fix a math problem. Didn't that mean Seju's smarter? She can raise money by her own hands too. When she wasn't given a penny from her family, when she was called btch sl*t wh*re, She got her own independant company. She lent money to the first bro that he couldn't scold her a bit and end up defending her in that meeting in chap 71. The one thing she got not by herself is probably the villa up until now. I don't know that people's good points can't be defined by how successful they have become. You see you've done well when you wake up and dont have to care which breakfast you can eat. how much you should save. is there a place you should't go, etc.
She's patient. Can anyone patiently take criticism from her fam for such a long time and her head is still so high? Can anyone patiently wait for 1 person in 10 years without knowing what you can get? I still prefer calling it stupidity anw.
One important. She's loyal. She may look cold, indifferent but to her lover, she's the opposite. Shr gives you everything she has. You played a joke and she didn't react it's not bc she didn't care, she just hadn't got it. If you can find a person like her, you've got to find that she has insecurities from her background, if you can fix her manipulation issue, you're luckiest. She doesn't pick fight or take blame on you either. Author said Seju is tolerant didn't you know that? So simply, Sumin failed to do so. They influence one another in a negative way and can't even change anything for good. They are not a perfect match. It is that simple.
I'm happy to hear Sumin's good points from you soon

It's better if Seju could lose memories of these 17 years so that she could live happily ever after. Because to me, just imagining spending that length of time for only one person to the point where you decide to hang yourself is suffocating enough, let alone she herself went through this. She lived all alone for the first 17 years, no friends, no parents' love but brothers' hatred. Then Sumin came like a light lit in the darkness, of course she needed to grip her as tight as possible because only Sumin cares for her. But that's the problem. Seju doesn't know how to open her heart. She even expressed her love in a wrong way. I believe it's what she needs to learn.
Then again, would all these blames mend their broken first love? Nope. So I prefer to ignore it all. Sumin had Seju & 30 women, and now she has Sungji. That should be enough. That should be the end too. The moment when Seju decides to go abroad, I felt very much relieved. No love, no pain, no fight, no anxiety anymore. In fact, they should never see each other again. No need for a coffee talk after a farewell. It's fine as long as you've found real happiness. Now Seju has someone for her too. Like Sungji to Sumin, someone who still loves and needs her despite her bad. Someone who's not toxic for her life. I would say Sumin and Seju ruined each other too much, instead, a right relationship should enlighten them about positivity.
Did you notice the author made their appearances, status and personalities quite match? Both Sungji and Sumin are neither too rich nor too poor, long straight hair, cold and witty. The new tanned girl seems to make it another match too. So I believe she had many other things in common with Seju besides the fact that they're both tall, wavy-haired, cold and sexy. Should I call them a model couple? However, the new girl also seems to be what Seju lacks of. She once was a swimmer which means just like Seju, she had something before but then lost it (either bc of injury, trauma or achievement obssesion). She might either be suffering from this loss or have overcome it. But maybe not yet, this should be a key factor that may abridge their distance or else there's no need to mention when she already has another job and they both look like broken souls after all. I think she's also the same as Sungji, not fall in love once. The profile seems to say she cares about life, passion, or career more. Then she eats a lot which is understandable for athletes while Seju eats less, skips meals, no favourite food, and easily falls sick (4 times so far). Probably she'll end up building a healthy diet for Seju. The fact that she suddenly told Seju the rope is for life-saving when Seju thought of using it to commit suicide also tells that she can read Seju's thoughts unintentionally. One thing for sure is Seju's way of living have been so horribly wrong (depends on love, low self-esteem). She needs to know there are many worse and better things out there. It's too complicated for Seju to trust and love somebody like Nammi, Sungji, Dawoon, assassin, or Sumin (who might remind her of the dark past) but if it's someone who are too much alike her, carefree, have no interest in her (which won't irratate her like Nammi), see her without judgement and know her without her saying, then falling can happen in seconds.
Some said it felt not right to see Seju in love with someone else besides Sumin. Oh, Sumin can live happily with a new love, she moves on so well so why Seju needs to keep all these sadness with her? It's unfair and hilarious to just let someone hinder you from starting your own life. It's not about love, it's about life, your own fking life. Treasure it. It's not right how Seju manipulated Sumin and cut her out from her social life either. The author once said being with Sumin is not the only way to make Seju happy, didn't they? No matter who she ends up with, ending her life or staying alone bc of A PERSON is wrong. It's okay if it's bc you're tired. The only one you should lose to or win over is yourself, not anyone else (Sorry I am emotional about this since my sister attempted suicide bc of a man thrice, gladly she's okay now....) If there was a story for Seju on her own and you don't know anything about SuminxSeju in the first place, maybe you would change your opinion.
Rather than look back at something broken, let's look forward to the bright future. Now I would like to recommend a song of Coffee Boy - I'll be by your side for Seju. Days of tears do not mean you'll have an angsty ending lol. I'll wait for Dawoon and SuminxSungji stories too, Sungji probably will become an attractive sexy woman after 3 years, wonder if they will adopt kids lol.
