I think falling in love with someone like this is usually the extreme, and there's a lot of relationships both in fiction and in real life that are examples of healthier relationships. Including users on the website that are happily dating / married lol

Yeah and I can counter argumentate about the huge number of relationships that fail both in fiction and real life. (Specially real life). Numbers in divorce are in a all time high and increasing. I am happy right now without wasting my time with the emotional baggage of romance, why would I risk the peace I have now?

Any kind of conflict? "Forced drama". Fluff only series? "Nothing ever happens". Series ends when the main pair get together? "Axed". Series keeps going and does arcs on side characters, etc? "Drawn out padding".

Ehhhh, I think it's more like what LostGamble is getting at. The conflict doesn't feel believable or like what you'd have in a real relationship. I can see feeling betrayed that being saved from the orphanage had a hidden motivation behind it, but Elsa is the one who crowbarred her way back into Yvonne's life and heart, so the conclusions she's actually drawing feel very contrived. It's basically trust issues again. But I mean, contrived plot points are hardly a new feature of this story. It excels at fluff, the rest is take it or leave it

I feel it's very believable. The very nature of her relationship hás been chalanged. It forces her to see It in a completely different way. Just because Elsa was the one running after Evie for so long doesn't mean her affection is unconditional and that's very realistic. No emotion or feeling is bulletproof, even If momentarely, specially when lies are exposed.

Elsa is not backing down. Good for her to show her affection towards Evie is not unconditional. Set some boundaries, but then communicate.
