Eh. I don't think this chapter really needed Yashiro's presence, but also it's hard for me to say she took much away when we still had pages and pages of stuff like the bath scene or Shimamura monologuing to herself or Adachi nearly outing them both and all that other good gay shit I'm here for.

Surprised at how people are just kinda talking past Adachi And Shimamura's Adventures In Exhibitionism in this chapter. Personally my jaw was on the floor the whole time I was reading it. Shimamura's gotten really gay really fast.

It is one of the best parts for sure, I think the whole way their physical attraction is being gradually explored is pretty heartwarming without it feeling forced or exaggerated. Something I can really commend this series for is how true both characters stay to themselves no matter what kind of new situation they're pushed in emotionally. Although I'd say Shimamura has been better so far since she's the one with the maturity to truly think about things from a wider perspective and thus the way she's becoming more accepting to push certain boundaries feels more satisfying. Adachi on the other hand was the more self-conscious one who wanted to see Shimamura naked and yet she had to be prodded by Shimamura herself.

I also really loved the scene where Sancho And Pals go all "uh wow y'all are close" when they see AdaShima flirting and Adachi almost outs them both right there. Shimamura's reaction was really good there, it feels like the first time in the whole series where she's been fully aware of how much more important Adachi's become to her than anyone else - the way she panics a little about what other people will think, but also doesn't let that stop her from reassuring Adachi when she goes all "...we ARE close, right?" Good, good shit in Shimamura's head lately.

I will say, I hope we start getting longer chapters again soon. I know I'm spoiled by how consistently Hagino previously put out like 40-pagers all the time, but after getting used to that it's a little sad to only get half of that. Wonder if it has to do with the story trying to figure out what it wants to do with a new arc or if there's another reason Hagino's dialing it back.

Kaede is in a girlship with Yamagishi, they will spend their adulthood platonically living in the same house where they will act like regular old friends and share appliances and chores like the home economy professionals they are.
