By her dialogues and reactions, Lilly seems to have a love interrest for the protagonist (if I remember right, a little more present in Japanses), and that fact is true for both male and female protagonists.
Since a lot of artists seems to have played Moon with female protagonist, they drew the pairing as they saw it, and the yuri pairing with Nebby being Lunala stuck.

These small strips since the kiss are more and more hillarious to me for some reasons.

The more common hetero trope will be: 'one sister pretend to be other, so they can date the guy + some drama +got found out, but they end up with each other anyway'. Maybe you mistook it with that one?

I'm pretty sure I already saw a manga about a guy crossdressing into his sister to keep boys away or something like that once, but well, it stays something pretty rare to see.

But for sure, the random boy with the "I was the only one" line is so cliché.

Some here seems to forget that Kanna's already way older than usual humans, so, yeah, she'll stay a loli all of Saikawa's life.

That really sounds like a loss, but maybe they make up for it later. In Ulta Lillie doesn't go away and can accompany the player (i.e. Mizuki) in the post game. That sounds better to me than the original, and maybe there is another scene as well. Maybe that one got moved to a later point, unless too much have changed.

Sadly, no, the romantic parts of Sun/Moon where mostly removed from Ultra Sun/Moon, and even though Lillie got an important role latter on, and stay to accompany the protag, I still miss that scene on execcutor island.

A kiss on the cheek between 2 girls in France literally is nothing, however you take it. I mean, we tend to do as she explain when greeting the little sister, but, girls tend to do a lot of skinship between friends, and it's just totally normal, even though they tend to avoir it in public places like in the middle of the road u.u

The way she approach Kou before the kiss, though, isn't as natural.
