Even without the unwanted het aspect, this chapter was pretty cringeworthy. I guess one could attribute it to "It's meant for children," but even then it felt really forced. It didn't have any real flow to it.

I never expected to see a reference to bridge construction games in a manga. Once again, Popteptic is exceeding my expectations.

Yeah, Carte's stuff is great. They have a few digital artbooks you can buy from their Booth (you can also access their Pixiv from that page). I highly recommend their work.

Well, it's tagged Yuri. You're welcome to contest that if you'd like, but at the moment people are going into this manga expecting yuri.

You're arguing about unofficial tags on a website that holds no power over the official sources. Feel free to check out the actual ending of the raws and argue how much of a lesbian couple they were or ended up as then.

What part of that post was an argument? I meant you're welcome to contest the tag, i.e. suggest it be removed.

Is it really a spoiler that they don't kiss if this was never yuri to begin with?

And I'm glad the new girl wasn't mean to poor Onee-san.

Same, I was worried she was going to be the generic blackmail prankster. Glad I was wrong.

Also, Hinata has consistently been best girl every chapter so far, so I'm going to assume she's best girl period.

Revisions for the collections, AFAIK. Although it may happen, I’ve never heard of changes made to a manga collection specifically for an English version (except for covers, extras, and the translation itself, of course).

Okay, cool, thanks! I'd definitely rather publishers avoid censoring or contradicting authors without consent. Makes me feel better about possibly buying the English collections on Amazon.

I would definitely recommend buying the physical volumes. Volume 5 just became available for pre-order (and Amazon's pre-order system is really good).

^Visually a bit, personality wise, again, just a bit :) Hisa is far 'cooler' and laid back / reserved, and far less mischievous.
Hisa likes to tease Mihoko but not like Eiko does! Eiko also has a more open and innocent side - you can tell she is 2 years younger too. I see why she reminds you of her though.

Hakka-ya has drawn a truly enormous amount of Saki doujins, so such a resemblance probably isn't a coincidence.

At first I thought this chapter was going to be the obligatory "lesbian gets pressured into attending a mixer" event. What I got instead was much more entertaining.

Girl Friends also was kind of bare-bones overall in terms of things happening. It kind of skips from one event to another with the implication being that nothing significant occurred in the meantime.

With how much time there's been between updates (i.e. not much time at all), I shouldn't be nearly as confused with the story as I am.

With all due respect to the shippers, I feel that if Emi was romantically interested in Mahoro, she would've went for it already. She's not subtle.

Or it could be she is not interested in dating anyone right now. U know there are people like that. But if does develop interest in romance who do u think would b her first target?

...Aki or Kuki? Or both?

Personally, I ship Mahoro and Nene, and I have no idea what to do with Emi.

I think most of us are waiting to see official English subs.

The chances of it getting digitally licensed is pretty damn thin.

Apparently, the BD already has English subs. They don't seem to be included in any of the rips so far, though.

Has anyone seen Kase-san OVA released yesterday? The art quality was so good it gave me eyegasm.

I'm not sure what to make of this. On the one hand, it feels like a bunch of story was glossed over in this chapter, leading me to believe it got axed. On the other hand, if this was axed it's an example of a very graceful way of handling that.

It always feels so weird to see them referring to each other by their personal names, since through the majority of the manga they're barely acknowledged.

This one looks kinda confusing, and based on what Goggled said it seems it'll get even more confusing as it goes on. I'm not sure how I feel about it yet.

Still bittersweet. Also, I was promised yuri and got none. Yet somehow I'm not disappointed.

To be clear, the OVA was premiered in theaters, not online. However, filmgoers were offered a chance to buy the film on BD, with English subtitles included. It's just a matter of waiting for somebody to upload it.

Offering it only to people who had already paid to see it seems a bit strange to me...

Would you think it was rape if the CEO of a modern business did this to one of their secretaries? Or if a parent did this to an adult child?

There are a lot of reasons for Thea to stick around and put up with the sexual abuse, even if she really doesn't want it, not the least of which is that her abuser is both her employer and a member of the ruling family in her country. Actually resting or leaving could end very, very, badly for her.

Similarly, the Princess clearly does a lot of good work when in public and the two have been together for a long time, with Thea being expected to take care of the princess. It shouldn't be surprising that she could admire her for her other qualities and might have developed a different form of love for her, despite her sexual abuse.

A parent? The princess is 5 years younger and doesn't even think she is more powerful than her guard even with her higher position, so how would that work?

So the princess was a rapist at age 10 already? She doesn't do it for power, she wants affection and provokes reactions out of the older one.

If your little kid sister touches you in an inappropriate way and tells you dirty things she heard somewhere, would you scream rape and call the cops?

I think you overestimate the position of the princess as well as the tone of the manga. :x

Literally everything you said was completely incorrect. Age is completely irrelevant, it's about power and authority, which the princess has and the guard doesn't. She doesn't need to do anything for that power, she just has it, and the guard can't go against her. If my little sister did any of that, there are a number of ways I could deal with it, all because I'm not obligated to stand there and take it. There's no overestimating the princess or misunderstanding the tone here, this is purely a power fantasy.

Axed.

Of course.
Although, I'm a lot less upset about this one than others before it. This had some neat ideas, but the execution was a little... lacking.

24 years age gap: 36 vs 12.

Surprised none got triggered yet.

Maybe because this isn't crossing the line? The teacher may get pulled in by the girl's pace sometimes, but she's clearly aware of the risks and is keeping a proper distance in the relationship. It would be nice if the girl were a bit more aware of that... But that probably will come later.

This feels like a chapter in an ongoing series... or maybe a pilot chapter? Either way, it kinda barely stands on its own. Still good nonetheless.
