I don’t really want to criticize this but I think the author should offer some thoughts about what is the deal with this ending.
At least the smut was pretty hot.
If it was symbolism then it should really be more obvious with how it is represented instead of pulling out the rug at the end.
“I’m a Cat” was also a pretty delusional story (those who were here for a while might know what I’m talking about, and I also left a comment there) but that one really handled the stuff of lies and truth much better.

Too bad the volume 8 novel caused a bunch of people in my region to downright drop the series and quit this fandom. (including a few artists I really liked so that’s a really big shame…)

My personal guess is that she will find out that even if she can blackmail her, it will never be as perfect as her imagined fanfiction (or something from I Love Amy will happen and she may decide to let her go because it somehow feels better) and makes her frustrated, and in turn requires her crush to help her.

But, the biggest challenge I see for this story is how it will end. Of course it makes sense for the two protagonists at the beginning of the tale to get together, but their relationship isn’t exactly pure as it is. Not to mention it means the other two girls need to have their own endings separately. I still wish for them to have a relationship at the end but there’s no reason to at the moment…

And now that all their cards are on the table, I think this is when everything goes downwards. Needless to say, I am highly anticipating how will this particular event end.

And I am still kind of down that her ship with Sayo is “canonically” shot down, but frankly nothing is really set in stone and it’s not going to stop fan artists (lol). Not to mention when they straight up denied the ship, Sayo wasn’t even there in person. Which…is sort of weird, because fundamentally it’s her who’s pursuing this so-called “romance” or “sexual relationship” or whatever. And with no one supporting her, the future tensions from her would be rather strange to see as…it’s not really tackled seriously more than some BDSM fling so far?

But whatever. I still hope the author’s doing well. Has been a year and a half since the last chapter…
