Also, "Hella" seems to me like some regular English word.

It's currently very common slang, but quite recent--I don't think anyone ever said "hella" before max 10 years ago unless they were talking about the Norse death goddess.

I had to do a double take at how hilariously wrong your assertion is. "Hella" has been a regular part of the vernacular in Northern California since the 90's, at least - I should know, I grew up with it. Maybe don't lecture others when you're not well informed yourself?

Also the pagan divinity in question is called "Hel" so... :v

...at this point it'd probably be faster to just read the damn thing yourself and form your own opinion, really. Certainly takes less time than waiting for (possibly conflicting) opinions and not like it costs anything but a bit of your time. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Then again "gay marriage" is generally a whole lot less about the assorted rituals and whatnot (it's not like a lot of straight couples are big on those either, hence civil unions or just skipping the brouhaha etc.) and specifically about that legal recognition. Which is kind of a big deal both practically (property rights, related taxation etc. to speak nothing of any children that might be involved) and symbolically (equal standing under the law etc.).

Also common-law marriage is not the same as cohabitation. It's an actual legal status and, as you can guess from the name, basically specific to common law countries (in practice meaning the former British Empire).

Hey, they do it all the time in "non-doujin" works too. Still can't fathom how (aside from, y'know, the usual massive handwaving and repeal of laws of physics for the sake of stale narrative tropes) that doesn't result in split and bruised lips at best tho...

^ tbf the actual Arthurian lore isn't markedly clearer or more coherent, what with the fuzzy original corpus and hilarious levels of additions, alterations and retellings over something like one and half millenia...

TBF being kind of an idiot is par for the course for teenagers. Especially when it comes to the emotional stuff. (Adults aren't that great at it either.)

Honk has a (rather strange) highly alternate history. These two never died in the first place in that world and have presumably been sipping whatever immortality Kool-Aid major living personages seem to be on (a few named characters have been alive since the 1500s) because this is what they physically look like ingame despite being like century plus old by that date.

I mean there isn't exactly much of a plausible explanation or reason for the Catulus to have traits of regional cat breeds from entirely different parts of the world so yeah, this whole thing definitely shouldn't be subjected to (and was never meant to survive) even cursory analysis.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I'm just here for the cute, lulz and a pinch of yuri which the series delivers amply enough. (Yuki's headcats are 10/10)

Most Catulus are girls whose cat features come in when they're around 12. Current evidence for Yuki, however, is that she's had hers all her life.

According to where exactly? Also that would still be a misuse of the term as the condition is presumably congenital irrespective of when it happens to express.

I know what the word means; what is unclear is what it's supposed to mean in the context.
