The "black gyarus" (who were never in blackface just high amounts of bronzer) were never super common.

The extras were all great, Remilia might not be a great artist but she's a really funny author

This comment thread was pretty entertaining to read, although I'm confused as to why nobody commented on the key element of the story that actually makes the actual symbolism obvious: the human character getting sick after the angel grows her wings, thinking "I want to remain a normal person, for what that's worth," cutting off the angel's wings, and instantly getting better.
The true fact of this story, the obviously author intended one single possible correct interpretation (:P), is that this is a story about being in a relationship with a drug user. Contrary to all the incorrect talk in this thread calling their relationship codependent (people don't know what codependent means and love to throw around that word, I swear. It's not when you're in an abusive relationship, it's when you enable a loved one's drug use or other harmful behavior out of love.), this is actually a story of someone REFUSING to be codependent: As the angel gets deeper into her addiction, to the point where she just sits there zoned out in the corner of the room all day, she has a terrifying moment (explicitly described as such by the human) where she appears to be about to leave this world. The human tries to accept and accommodate this for a short while, but it effects her terribly as well and she recognizes how harmful this is. Thus, she cuts off the source of "getting high" (the wings) cold turkey, causing them both immense suffering in the short term but results in them being far more healthy in the longterm (as shown by the former angel starting to put on weight).
There's definitely no other way to interpret this other than this way, I think :P Seriously though if you reread the whole doujinshi interpreting the angel as someone who's stoned, everything 100% fits. This is basically an episode of My Strange Addiction in doujinshi form.

I was really enjoying reading this manga and the discussion until the discussion started looking like a CIA report. This manga deserves better :(

Lmao I can so clearly tell this author watched the matrix sequels before writing this because Yukari's big dumb speech and the contents of it are almost exactly what the Overseer says to Neo in the third matrix movie iirc.
This was really contrived in a completely unnecessary way, if you want dark fucked up depressing Gensokyo you can just do it without needing to justify it, like that one doujinshi by the author of Girls Last Tour with Alice, who has lost her mind with grief after Marisa died, becoming obsessed with making a perfect Marisa doll. That sure didn't need to spend 90% of its pages establishing lore to try to justify being dark and fucked up!

Nozomi imitating the pose on the second page was so cute, but she felt like an afterthought the rest of the chapter. They didn't even get her anything or feed her at the cafe, poor baby

If we get a polycule there's no way Yuki is involved with anybody in it except Nanase as a kind of offshoot relationship, and probably none of them with how moralizing and "normal" she is. I can see the possibility of something like Fuuko and Nanase sharing and possibly double teaming Yuni though, given the author has drawn the three of them all tangled together sexily multiple times.

It's never been a valid "violation" as far as I'm concerned, it's mostly an idea in real life used to blame women for men cheating on their wives, an excuse to let those guys off the hook to some degree by diluting or redirecting the blame for violating the trust of his partner. Same with "temptation". Fuuko's a better partner for Yuni than Nanase is and as far as I'm concerned there's zero moral problems with making that pitch. The moral fault is exclusively Yuni not dumping Nanase (or negotiating them being open) like she should have in the first chapter of the manga. Of course, if she did that the story wouldn't be as interesting :P

I've never seen anything that was animalistic personally. And in most of what I've read the female alpha has access to both (without going into detail). I'm assuming that's what this series does as well.

This comic went as far as having the scent glands in the neck that can be supressed through biting. This is on the high end of animal traits for ABO I think, clearly not particularly caring about human anatomy, so I wouldn't rule out anything lol. It's practically a crypto-furry story :P

Nanase is the least competitive athlete alive she entirely functions based on the validation of her teammates lol. Her one time fighting to keep Yuni it was at least partially motivated by that one friend who knows, so if Nanase is going to fight for her again that friend is probably going to need to push her to do it

I'm glad we've got dedicated groups still bringing us some great scanlations like Golden Orchid because most of what's left besides them are either abandoned or MTL, including extremely good comics like Bailijin Among Mortals.

The pretty sure the person doing Baili Jin now isn't MTL. The one on Mangadex.

I remember reading a yuri Omegaverse some years ago and I don't even remember its plot or its name but I do remember that it scared me the the f out of this genre. I said I'm not touching this genre again.

This story here is completely different than that but ngl, I'm not a fan of futa stuff. Idk if that's the reason some parts here are censored (probably not) but I think that it's kinda obvious from 3 panels that the Alpha here has male genitals. Of course everyone likes what they like, but I wish since the whole Alpha/Beta/Omega are like extra genders, that it would be more common for female Alphas to not have to have that most of the time. Since reproducing in this universe doesn't depend on their "human" gender anyway.

I flipped through the raw of that new chapter and God the little bit of English she included in there had me rolling. Absolutely a comedic genius, among other genius traits.
Also I haven't seen any mixed reception tbh, it's not like I've gone trawling for responses or reviews but everything I've casually come across in English is positive.

I found on Baka Updates that the author has only written two works. Their first is a yaoi, making this their first yuri. It’s reasonable to assume that the author is likely more experienced in writing yaoi than yuri.
