@Anon, gotta start somewhere. I am paiting a rather simple kit, or rather I started before summer started. Then it got too hot and humid to paint outside so when the fall comes I will try to finish paiting.

I do want to learn to paint because I want to make some custom paint schemes. If I had a better living area, I would definately try airbrushing as it would be better to paint indoors in a controlled environment instead of the windy outdoors. :P

@Anon, I know what you mean. Reason I got into Gunpla was that it is all snap fit and the plastic is already colored so you don't have to paint to get a nice looking model. Low effort for good looks. Put more effort in, look even better.

Basic panel lining goes a long way.

This kit would be very bland without panel lining. I think this was my first kit where I panel lined a lot. Rough in some spots but still looks good.

I don't think figures are a waste of money at all... I mean, if you don't want them anymore, you can always sell them again. It's not like you've wasted it on booze or anything irretrievable like that...
And as long as you're having fun, there's nothing wrong with it either (^_^)b

Looks like a really colorful collection. You mentioned some robots before, right? Model Kits or pre-assembled figures?

@Anon, my dad disagrees but then he also did say it is better that I am not spending it on drugs.

And I don't plan on selling any of them. I can't really think of any that I don't like. Well, okay only one I would get rid of is this dumb huge Zero (from Mega Man X) that I bought. Takes up a lot of space and is whatever.

As for the robots, I do have some action figures and some of those Soul of Chogokin figures, but it is pretty much model kits.

I don't mind sharing my Gundams because they aren't anime girls. I need to get a display case for these as I have no room in my work area anymore lol. I just panel line. Haven't painted any kits yet (working on Unicorn mode Unicorn) but I have to use spray cans and I never have a good time of day to do it because of work.

@Anon, I'd love to show it, but I don't really want to have it on the Internet. Then it would be easy to say what a loser I am because of how may thousands of dollars I wasted on plastic. V: If this was a private forum, sure.

Just Google Image search "otaku figure collection" and then imagine it as one of the ones that are like two and a half bookcases worth. RIP ME

It's bad how fast I ship characters together. I was watching Mobile Suit Gundam and then:

I'm all aboard Sayla x Mirai. Then Slegger shows up and Mirai starts crushing on him and there is a dumb love triangle and now Mirai's character gets ruined.

Super Robot Wars was similar. Was playing Z3 Jigoku Hen and like holy crap was Alto annoying. I haven't seen Macross Frontier at all lol but I did see there was a love triangle and I was like "Sheryl and Ranka should just tell Alto to get lost and they should get married." All aboard Sheryl x Ranka and I haven't even seen the source material. I own like 3 doujinshi and a doujinshi collection for this pairing.

I have paid for yuri before. In fact, here's a picture of me holding my copies of Girl Friends (which I have read in its physical form 5 times)

I buy a ton of Yuri. I don't have recent pictures because I have an obscene amount of figures so I don't want to share my embarassing collection there but here is an older picture from more modest beginnings.

This is one shelf circa Feb 2014. Back then I had 3 shelves in one bookshelf.

And I rarely go out too actually lol, but my time is very mostly split thin between playing games, watching anime, writing fanfics for my girlfriend to read and spending time with her at night...so yeah, not that much time invest into longer series.

I do similar things (minus fanfics for a girlfriend) and I find time for longer series. I don't read them all but the ones I am reading I read when new chapters pop up.

I guess no girlfriend gives me the time lol
