How so? The specifics of what is normal differ, but the overarching definition of normal doesn't strike me as applying more there than anywhere else

Pretty much at the opposite the ends of the spectrum of society from the community first thinking of Japan versus the me first thinking of America. The rest of the world tends to be somewhere between the two.
