I don't really think Yuzumori understood what Mimika was trying to say here, she probably thinks that Mimika faked liking her in the 1st place and now that she said that she wanted to become more close to her, she just couldn't bring herself to doing that. At least thats what i think.

It would be pretty mean and uncharacteristic of Yuzumori to react with such disgust if she did understood Mimika's true intentions since she's been shown to be quite kind towards Mimika in the past.

I don't know if i find Takechi's actions adorable or extremely creepy. Either way, its nice to see Minakata and Morishima giving every ship some love since we barely saw any in the actual AnR manga.

As much as I want the three have them to reach a happy ending, I can't really imagine a perfect triangle relationship at this point in time. Kotooka doesn't like Washio romantically. Washio doesn't look at Tsukasa that way either, and same with Tsukasa towards Kotooka.

I've got my fingers crossed for a Tsukasa x Kotooka ending, but perhaps that's just because we barely see anything from Washio's perspective. Everything up until now has been about Tsukasa and Kotooka (ever since volume 2).

I'm with you here. I used to be a huge WashioxTsukasa supporter, but ever since seeing Kotooka's real feelings, its hard to root against her. She's the one who's struggling the worst since she has to bring herself to like guys for the sake of not being called weird or abnormal and she also has to see how much of an idiot her crush is by not noticing her real feelings for her.

I still think this could only end with one of them being hearbroken by the one they like, who that character is still unknown, but i noticed that the theme this series have so far is that no matter what you do someone ends up hurt one way or another.

I freaking loved Kotooka this chapter. She unconsciously wants Tsukasa to find out about her feelings. Also, Subaru is on some deep shit right now. I think Asakura hasn't found out about him crossdressing on future chapters so, it would be interesting to see how Subaru handles the situation right now.

To be fair, in the actual manga Tohru has a cute moe-face a good chunk of the time while Kobayashi is pretty stuck in Cool-Kyo deapan mode.

Well she is supposed to look plain in comparison to Tooru

Oh yeah i know that, but what i was trying to say is that Tooru looks like your average cute KyoAni moe girl, while Kobayashi looks like a character from a different series altogether. I would've preferred if they kept Tooru's art style from the manga, but thats just my personal taste.

As far as the series goes, there is nothing that hints that Yuzu actually likes Mimika romantically.

Maybe I just have prescription-strength goggles, but the one thing I feel could be pointed to is Yuzumori asking Mimika to button up her dress. Someone who's apparently alone as often as Yuzumori is would proooobably already know how to button her own clothes.

At the same time, that kind of "seductive" behavior also doesn't match with anything we've seen yet, (or the general disposition of a grade-schooler) so I dunno ¯_ʕ •ᴥ•ʔ _/¯

Thats a very good point, but i think Yuzumori only sees Mimika as big sister or something along those lines. I do believe that she'll eventually develop some sort of romantic feelings for Mimika since kids who are lonely sometimes develop feelings of fondness for those who are close but not related to them.

Oh yeah, maybe. Perhaps Yuzumori only heard Mimika say that she doesn't remain as "just friends", which would be unfortunate :(

I think it could be interesting if it doesn't drag on for too long. I wouldn't mind a little bit of drama in this series tbh.

I think there's a 50% chance that Yuzumori took it as Mimika breaking their friendship off, but also a 50% chance that Yuzumori understood what Mimika was getting at, although this is something I'm unsure of so we'll have to wait until chapter 12 comes out. We can only make interpretations based off of Yuzumori's reactions.

I don't think Yuzumori wouldn't react with such disgust if she did understand what Mimika was saying. I mean, just a minute ago she was jealous of how close she was with Shi-chan and how she wanted to get close with Mimika herself. I think she just misheard Mimika's words due to her crying voice.

Well, this looks like its going to be a long angsty ride.

I know there's a lot that needs to be resolved, I just hope that, along with the completion of the play, that not everything is rushed through as well. That, the play won't be the climax of the plot. Perhaps this arc is pre-play, we don't know, I think that it's hard to have real expectations for this series, I'm just bewildered by everything that happens, it's all sort of... new? The setting is pretty unusual, I find the characters, the pacing, unpredictable, I don't know what to expect, what could happen, because it could really go anywhere, can't it?
So, there's the play, Touko's issues, Yuu's feelings, how Touko and Yuu's relationship would evolved after Touko becomes aware of those feelings (if she doesn't accept them/there's conflict, Yuu is gonna have to face that too), Sayaka's love life, Maki's role.
I included Maki too cus like, well, he was probably meant to do more, I don't think his part in the story is limited to just their conversation at ch16(?). His advantage is pretty much that he's the only one aware that whatver ambiguous relationship between Yuu and Touko is going on, so he could actually be someone that Yuu can confide in (+he's in a neutral position). Yuu's pretty deep into all of this, her perception of Nanami and herself, what's going on, is becoming pretty biased and inaccurate. I think that the chapter where she incorrectly assume how Nanami felt (chapter 10? about Nanami's motivations) was a good indicator of that, that what she thinks she knows isn't always accurate, that she overestimates herself.

Hit the nail right in the head with your post. This series doesn't have a clear path as to where the story would end yet and thats the beauty of YagaKimi, it doesn't feel like your average yuri story where you know everyone would get a happy ending and nothing bad would happen to anyone. I mean, for all we know, Touko could end up never changing and marrying a man she doesn't love due to what she thinks people are expecting from her.

Anyways, i hope we get to see more of this characters for a long time and that this doesn't end in heartbreak. Thats all i'm ask for.

I don't think Touko's situation will be resolved easily, it would feel too rushed. Plus Yuu hasn't realised her feelings yet , so I'm sure these things are gonna take some time. Anyway, I really do hope that if they become a couple, we'll see what happens after that, I mean dating and stuff. I don't want this manga to end soon because I like it a lot :(

Edit: I forgot about Sayaka, I don't think the series will end without some resolution for her as well.

I don't want this to end either since it's my favorite yuri manga at the moment and i do hope to see a happy ending for all of the characters.

I don't think that this manga is going to end as soon as this arc ends, but it does feel like its one of the final arcs of the series. Like, it feels that Touko its going to see the story in the play parallels her life a bit and once she struggles with that and resolves it, theres just a couple of issues left to resolve like whether Sayaka would ever express her feelings for Touko or would she end up like Tamao from Strawberry Panic and whether Touko would accept Yuu's feeling, which she already knows she has, but can't express them due to Touko's insecurities.

I certainly hope we're not in the last arc of the series, but it does feel like we're near the end of the story.
