Shouldn't the title read Small Mokoutouhou?

The Japanese title is 「小さなもこっとほう。」, so the double T is correct. =]

But to what end? I mean does it signify anything / change the meaning, to be spelt like that or is it just being cute / different?

Google says もこっとほう means morose for example (A little morose?) but that doesn't really seem a relevant word play for the manga.

The reason Google translation gave you an odd translation is probably that it's an onomatopoeia; 「もこっと」 (mokotto), which means "fluffy". So, the title is a wordplay on "Mokou/Moko-tan", "fluffy", and of course "Touhou". =]

I believe the context makes it obvious, but just in case; the もみもみもみもみ etc. in the background means "grope grope grope/fondle fondle fondle" etc. x)

I don't understand why people read things that they know they won't like. I mean I understand reading the first chapter and leaving a 'this is weird/shit' comment, but when they come again and leave something similar chapter after chapter then you gotta wonder what their problem is. Or if they have that much free time.

Regardless, I'm glad that those people skedaddled. After all, this is kind of a parody on the lolicon genre.

Just think of all the youtube comments talking shit about people who watch "this kind of stuff", meaning the person who made the comment deliberately looked up something they didn't like, to comment negatively on it. :D

I have yet to read anything too saccharine for my tastes, lmao. But I fully understand the criticism Hana and Hina is getting, even if I enjoy it a lot myself.

Nah, but really, I'm sort of on the opposite end of the spectrum. Hana and Hina is probably my favourite work by Morinaga, specifically because it's all fluffy and straight forward. I personally can't stand a bunch of drama and "realism" and stuff in stories, or worse yet, the adult life tag. I am an adult, and my life is pretty realistic. Bring on the cute, idealized, fluffy love stories, yo!!! x)
