For those wondering why Nazrin speaks Russian seemingly out of the blue... It's not quite out of the blue. Her name is pronounced Nazurin in Japanese, almost the same as the Russian surname Nasulin (Nasurin; just remove the dakuten from the zu and you get su). My guess is that Osamitsu decided to play that piece of trivia up.

It was definitely on Mangadex a year ago by a different group. I don't think it got added to Dynasty though, probably cos they couldn't verify the group since it's listed as Unknown. Main difference is that version is a bit more TN heavy.

Thanks for providing that link. I actually prefer that version, because translator notes are vastly more preferable to just straight up localizing the shit out of everything (as shown in this site's version with the replacement of the "moon" kanji with the English word; that just ruined my willing suspension of disbelief and the feeling of immersion).

This is a very cute story. But did bothered anyone else they translated the kanji? Specially because the context of learning Japanese, it is just flat out weird to have her write "moon" instead. It is the worst case of adaptation in which they both translated absolutely everything but also didn't even try to pretend it is a different context and talking about a different language.

The other group did it better, I think. Not only with the kanji, but with leaving the original japanese sentences (plus romaji) in the bubbles during the language lessons, to make it less confusing.

I'm glad I'm not alone. Can we use that version instead?

My guess is that the emo girl is so "emo" that it actually balances out the yuri-seduction waves coming off of Komyusho-chan, with the net effect being simply uplifting Emo-chan's spirits and and making Komyusho-chan's words persuasive enough to convince the former to go to school.

I'm reminded of how in the manga One Piece, the character Usopp proved utterly immune to Perona's willpower-sapping ghosts simply because he already hit rock bottom in terms of "negative" outlook on his life in general, so he can't be made any more "negative".

@BugDevil: Only if you willfully ignore the rather obvious subtext of the "words aren't the only way to convey your feelings" scene between Cloud and Tifa close to the end of FF7, which after the fade-out-to-black is immediately followed by a scene on the Highwind where it's quickly revealed that the rest of the crew saw what happened between the two during that fade-out skip... and Tifa's response to that is utter mortification.

So you're telling me that "nostalgia" is the only reason this site hangs on to the misspelling in its tags? That's a stupid reason, to be bluntly honest.

Isn't it the same, just cleaner? I can't tell if the style has changed at all. It still looks like Mochi.

They have noses now, which I would certainly consider an improvement.

And some of the characters that used to have bland black circles for eyes (e.g. Mitsuko Tsuchiyamada) now have actual eyes that are very expressive.
