On one hand, we can reasonably expect it to be well animated now. On the other, KyoAni is probably going to rewrite large chunks of the plot because that's what they do, and it's a crapshot on if this'll work out

This is really weird, though. KyoAni usually doesn't adapt stuff they don't publish

Also another thing I really hate is when a good character gets paired with a bland one (maybe main character), just to become an ego booster for (some of) the viewers.

I believe these people are in denial though lol. Heck, even if two girls are having sex, some people will still say they are straight and just experimenting, or do it for attention etc. But if guys do the same thing they are definetely gay. To be completely honest, i believe that a lot of these "straight" cases are just happy because they can do whatever they want and people will still call them straight.

And that's when we get girls being very obviously a couple in every sense of the word, and still being called "friends". That's one of the things that made me cringe in Cross Ange (then again, what isn't cringe-worthy in Cross Ange? >.>)

honestly this manga makes me cringe the drama is so forced, i still enjoy the yuri moments but everything else is just a mess.

Its that sort of doubt you have, when you aren't exactly sure if he loves her, or just wants to lose his virginity. Love and lust as different ideas by the way. I disliked him because well, ofc he's the foil of a yuri end, if you root for the yuri end, but also cus his intentions could be ambiguous. When Yuma seemed uncomfortable to sleep with him, you could interpret his reaction afterwards as pain from being rejected by his gf, or sulking cus she wasn't as eager as he was.
I'm not saying he's a bad person, i just don't really like him, and he's uninteresting. He also has the plainest character design to boot.

Well i guess everyone to their own taste but i kinda think he is undeservingly getting that backlash of yuri genre.

i think people are just tired of the bullshit that happens in yuri .
