The real progress from this scenario came already at its start with the both of them realizing how the other sees them.

That, and Hino finding out first hand what happens to Koguma's body when she touches her. Pretty much the same reaction her own body gives to Koguma's touch in that situation, only stronger.

Which reminds me, accidentally fulfilled that promise. :D

Everything seems to be hitting the fan I wonder if this series is almost over. Huge shame if it is love the art and I've very much enjoyed the story.

This entire thing is odd because the reason the monsters attacked her at the start of the series was because she smelled so good and they wanted to eat her. Or was that all a lie that our cute fishwomen told us. Because if their blood is mixed and disgusting why would all of those things attack Hinako really then?

Well, the claim seems to be weirdly specific--that if a mermaid gives someone their blood, THAT MERMAID will find their scent foul. It would seem like it made more SENSE for the scent to just become foul in general, but that doesn't seem to be what anyone said. The blood seems to be more personal than that.

It makes very much sense not to want to essentially eat yourself, but have no problem with other monsters.

the story so far has framed shiho s struggles as stuff that´s completly out her control, as if the people around her were the ones at fault.

How is it in any way possible to read this story like that...? It's always been very clear that Shiho's problems are for the most part caused by her own troublesome personality. She was even ready to admit as much at one point, before things spiraled out of control again.

Now that was a panic-inducing phone call... Luckily she did better than expected in the end. :D

I don't care if its cliche. Looks interesting. As long as there's no guy(tho I feel like there will be one), I'll follow this one.

The description (as well as her already mentioning her (future) position as the "evil fiancee") clearly show that there is a "hero" for the story, but seeing how she already has someone else she's interested in anyway and there'll also be a "heroine" for him, he's hardly going to be anything to seriously worry about.
