I think the characters were introduced a bit too quickly, but this is a cute and fun little manga.

So, remember how we definitely see Kei walking toward the school when they leave? I wonder if that’ll be relevant.

pretty sure they kill her off in the previous chapter

I think they meant on how Miki has to face her walking corpse again

Also did everyone get tired of this series or something? Since there aren't many comments. I still think it's still interesting right now

Darker series like this just tend to have smaller audiences even in cases where the series itself is not at all lacking in quality.

So if I got this right...

Safe ones
- Lily Love (this one actually got me into manhwa)
- Lily Love 2
- Blooming Sequence
- Everyday Lily
- Maison de Maid
- Her Pet (contains violence)
- Love Doctor
- My Job

Stories with rape
- Elixir
- Pulse
- Serenade
- White Angels Have no Wings

This is actually very helpful people <3 Thanks everyone so much.

There are some good stories on Lezhin, but be warned as a whole this site contains more adult orientated works so don't expect everything to be fluffy shoujo or shounen love stories. I mean there is stuff on there like Killing Stalking and White Angels Have No Wings so make sure you know what you are getting into before you read some of these.

Her pet isn't just generic violence and bullying, but long running domestic abuse as well. It's not a bad story but be warned it is quite graphic at times and tackles dark subject matter. As others have stated seriously stay away from White Angels Have No Wings if your are bothered by rape, domestic abuse, bullying, blackmail, stalking, graphic violence, psychopathic behavior etc. It's also not a bad story, but that's one rough patch of road to journey down.

The more links to pages of this there are in this thread, the harder it is for me to resist the urge to re-read this manga.

At this rate, if you follow all the links, you will re-read the manga.

Seriously, I ended up rereading the whole thing again.

Awww, with that cliff hanger and the look on Chiak's face I was expecting more fireworks.

Also, "devil woman" Chiaki was absolutely adorable.

I’m sorry but fuck Momono Moto. Her characters are stupid and messed up. Here’s a brief list of assholes and dumbos she has written so far: a lazy ditz ass girl who shacks up with a girl she doesn’t even love because she doesn’t wanna work (Kimi Koi Limit) and a dummy who even saw anything in the dummy, an asshole musician who, without explanation, beats up the MC because she happened to have a stupid past that she shares with a bipolar senpai (Liberty), a psychotic adult who gets turned on by some high schooler who watches (and masturbates!...) her engage in hot sex from her window (both characters are honestly creepy af), and now some bitch who plagiarized the MC’s dad’s songs and has been stalking her since her childhood (wtf???). So apparently Momono has a fetish for psycho bitches and female Ed Sheerans it seems. And these characters aren’t even ALL the psychotic bitches in her work... Those were the memorable ones so far. I remember there were worse characters than these weirdoes, but can’t recall what the title of the works were.

I have been reading her works because I thought maybe she could redeem herself somehow, since her concepts and ideas are rather interesting...but nope! Failure after another because of her poorly written moronic characters. I’m so shocked at why people find her works to be so good when they are not. Her stories are wasted.

Remember kids, just because you don't like something doesn't necessarily mean it is poorly written.

As often as not, it's a simple case of "this story made me feel bad so it's bad." I will give you this though, "Liberty" really did have some serious problems with the writing. That rushed ending was just bad.

@ Looking East

Sure, but that’s basically non-responsive. I’m not reading about your friend, who has a life encompassing many decades of real-life experience; I’m reading these flashes of fictional existences and attempting to fill in the blanks, with the assumption, as is not true of real lives, that the work of art will make a coherent whole.

So when the story takes some pains to raise an issue like the possible infidelity of one of the major characters, then seems to forget all about it, I’m not inclined to say, “That’s just like life—all sorts of crazy stuff happens!”

Most of my comment wasn't actually directed at you, but rather the whole string of comments your response was part of where people seemed flabbergasted about the level of denial Kaoru was putting on display. I actually completely agree with you that the way the story just dropped the whole cheating husband narrative thread is a misstep.

Well we don't know how their multiverse works exactly. It could simply be a world close enough to our own to make jumping possible or easier. There could be many, many possibilities for a world where men died out, and this one just happens to be very similar to the one we inhabit.

I'm not talking about quantum mechanics, I'm talking about storytelling. Sure, if all possible worlds exist, there exists one that started out differently than our own, then converged to resemble ours because men died out.

But then there's the possibility of an author who wanted "a world just like ours only no men" without thinking any further about it. And I know where I'd put my money.

The problem is for the author to tell the story they want to tell they need to have a world identical to our own even down to the existence of individual people and the details of their day to day lives. sans the male gender existing. No matter how you go about it a set up like that is going to require some serious hand waving and suspension of disbelief to make it happen. The author went the soft science fiction route instead of the fantasy magic route, but either path requires some pretty shaky foundation work in order to create the story's setting. Sometimes you just have to roll your eyes once and then move on with your suspension of disbelief.

I have yet to see a science fiction story involving parallel dimension hopping that is even remotely plausible when you break them down and really think about it. For instance if the author instead simply decided to hand wave away this universe being all female from the beginning and then converging towards being the exact same as our own except without men that has even more problems with it that the idea that this was a more recent divergence in the timelines. Basically the further back in the timeline you go and the larger the changes you make the larger the discrepancies you will find between the two worlds in the present.

To put it simply, a world where life evolved to be asexual rather than sexually dimorphic would be so fundamentally different that it would preclude the possibility of the two worlds developing convergent timelines without outside pressures forcing them to do so. For instance it would require the presence and interference of Gods or God like reality manipulating beings.

Anyway, I seem to have gone down another rabbit hole right after stating that sometimes you just have to look the other way and grant the author a freebie with a little bit of suspension of disbelief.

The world always needs more SF yuri.

As a writer this has become something I've been writing more of lately.

Because there wasn't nearly enough for me out there as a reader (though I'm always open for more).

That and more action/adventure yuri would be awesome. (and if anyone has suggestions I'm totally up for the reads)

There is "Mnemosyne" which is a gritty, action packed yuri manga, but be warned that's a pretty intense and dark story.

On here we have "Qualia the Purple" which is an interesting science fiction read with solid yuri elements .

"Gakkougurashi!" is pretty cool science fiction manga. Although I can't say its really yuri beyond maybe a hint of subtext, it does have all female leads. I would say more about it but it's best read cold without knowing anything about the story going into it.

"Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou" is a beautiful award winning science fiction manga with a female lead and it involves a light yuri romance side plot.

JJzo posted:

So, it turns out Kaoru really is an idiot.

“I didn’t actually think she liked me that way.” Yes, Kaoru, how could you possibly have known? Because all Uta did was tell you, several times, as clearly as she could, that she liked you that way.

JFC, the age gap in the emotional maturity level of these two is just as big as the chronological one, only going the other way.

Denial is a helluva drug.

She already once get over her denial though... And went to discuss stuff with friend...

So why is she now sitting in a room saying that she didn’t think Uta liked her that way?

Kaoru makes it pretty clear—her own world-class denial skills are crumbling, and now she wants Uta to bail her out by denying it for her.

At this point I’m not seeing many amirable qualities in Kaoru that make her worth Uta’s affection, whatever the surrounding circumstances might be.

Edit:

So what happened with the brother's affair(?), Was it explained or did the author forgot about it¿?

Kaoru used up all her super-denial powers wishing it away, so it never really happened. That’s why she’s struggling to deny the obvious with Uta right now.

Compared to the real world the amount of blind denial on display in this manga is a tiny drop in the bucket. Seriously take one glance at the people around you and you will see far more ludicrous examples of ongoing life destroying denial. With one quick glance I see a things like a life long friend with neurological damage and a dying liver who still to this day argues that his 30 year long alcohol and drug bender that he has been on has absolutely nothing to do with his current health problems. I see adults not just believing in unprovable fairy tales but running their entire lives based upon the rules dictated by them. I see a mother who to this day thinks her son, a life long criminal and convicted murderer, is a complete angel who just keeps getting either framed or caught up with the wrong people and situations. The list goes on.

Something as trivial as a woman looking the other way when her sister says some questionable things about her affection for her really doesn't even compare to some of the crap I see every day.

I have been fine with subtext... until now. This is just too damn subtle. Is this even yuri? I wish they would actually show us something to latch onto so we can even suspect they might be interested in each other. The conclusion of the MC at the end that she might be a lesbian is so totally not supported. I mean really? I just see no merit in this unless they at least 69 each other while shouting their marriage rites.

9/10. Not enough subtext.

3/10

Not enough subtlety in the attempt to troll.

You all are expecting too much of a 10-chapter manga, as good as it is, but there is some very nice mutual jealousy indeed. But it's definitely more SF than yuri, reminded me a lot of Atom The Beginning.

Neat, so we really are getting a proper sci fi story? That's cool.

I'm a bit surprised that a real science fiction story is getting uploaded here on Dynasty. They don't seem to like those sorts of stories as much here and they are quite rare.

I tried to suggest they upload Yokohama Kaidashi Kikō to this site, but it was apparently a no go. Yokohama Kaidashi Kikō is a lot like Girl's Last Tour in tone and setting. It's an end of the world science fiction, slice of life, iyashikei story with some yuri spice to help flavor the mix. It's a beautiful, award winning manga, but I guess it didn't meet the standards of what the admins are looking for.

I'm always happy to see more manga uploaded here that aren't just yuri romances, but rather stories from other genre where yuri elements are still present but the story doesn't necessarily revolve around it entirely. I would love to see more science fiction and fantasy stuff like this or Qualia the Purple.

It will be interesting if it goes more towards the hardcore sci fi route rather than the hardcore yuri route.

How long do we have before the crippled girl becomes jealous of the copy that can run and play yuri games and then as a result ends up crushing the robot's head in a hydraulic press?

Good luck getting the mind at the controls go along with that, a personality upload isn't going to have any "Asimov Laws" built in...

The convo at the start about "auto-balancer" baffles me though. If they're talking about some kind of gyroscope then, yes, it'll need one (or an analogous system) for basic balance/up-down reference already - the inner ear fulfills same function in us meatbags and bipedal locomotion, archly summarized as "controlled falling forwards", really needs that.

I was mostly just making a terminator joke, although I do see there being a rich seedbed for jealousy to bloom its ugly head in that the copy and the original are the same person except the original is left crippled in her wheel chair while the other version of her gets a beautiful fully functional body to live in. It would be like having two versions of yourself where one version gets to live a much better life than the other. It is only natural that you would begin to envy the version of yourself that can walk, dance and run like you've been wanting for all the years since your legs were smashed.

The copy would feel the exact same way about your accomplishments, your friends and your life that you do because in essence your life is its life. The only problem is there is only one you shaped hole in the world that you perfectly fill and now there are two people who feel that spot belongs to them and it is their job to continue filling it. Which version of you inherits your job for instance or better yet your lover? It's going to suck competing for these sorts of things against an exact copy of yourself that has been given a functioning body where yours remains broken.

I don't know what more you need for them to be a couple aside from verbal confirmation. Which as we just established, is pretty much not needed.

I agree though that they probably didn't have sex yet. That just doesn't seem to fit with their interactions and would be kind of a bigger deal.

I don't think it can really be argued that they aren't a couple or that their love is not mutual at this point especially after Kasumi's outright confession in these latest chapters. It wasn't really ambiguous before this but it's been spelled out now for any doubters.

Over the course of the series Kasumi has shut Sakurako down every single time she tries to take things past first base, often quit brutally. One of the big firsts a lot of people overlooked in this chapter was when Sakurako was drunk, Kasumi was way less firm about shutting her down than usual. Although she did outright stop her, she actually implied it might be ok if they were indoors in private rather than outside.

Moments like that are actually a pretty big development and we have been seeing more of them recently. Another big one was the chapter at the movie theater where Kasumi actually reached for and held Sakurako's hand without any prompting from her.

Well @themusicman500 just did question that they are in a romantic relationship. So I guess some can.

You know, people keep saying that, but where is an actual example of that? I don't remember Kasumi ever shutting down an attempt of Sakurako to take it further... because Saku never tries to take it further. The only times she did that was when Saku was drunk. I can't think of any other moments. Kasumi is brutal when Saku acts creepy or worships idols of her Kasumi religion, but that's it.

Seriously, I am always looking for ANY instance where Kasumi doesn't shut down her down when Sakurako tries to take it somewhere sexual and she has literally stopped her either with her words or outright physically restraining her in every single instance.

The other thing I look for in every chapter is any kind of instance where Kasumi instigates or shows any form sexual interest or desire towards Sakurako and again she simply never does. The best we ever get from Kasumi in that regard is one instance where she instigates hand holding at the movie theater after watching Sakurako fidget and one instance where we see her thinking she might like to see Sakurako tanned in the sauna treatment chapter. It should be noted that the time she imagined her tanned it was only her face rather than her whole body and it lacked the usual hearts and sparkles we see when a character is thinking sexual or love struck thoughts about somebody in this manga.

I really don't want to reread this entire series just to point out a couple of dozen instances where Kasumi verbally or physically shuts down Sakurako when she starts making sexual advances. Seriously, just go back and read a half dozen or so chapters with that in mind and I am sure you can plenty of examples yourself. It is such a frequently reoccurring theme with them.

Off the top of my head the entire sauna treatment chapter we recently had is one long back and forth between Sakurako trying to take things in a sexual direction and Kasumi rebuffing her when she goes too far. This chapter is actually one of the best we have ever gotten for Kasumi being a softy and more lax about how far she lets Sakurako go and still the entire dynamic between them for the length of the chapter is Sakurako pushing with her affection and desires and Kasumi only letting go so far as she is comfortable with.

This is by far the chapter that we have seen Kasumi come closest to actually letting Sakurako do something sexual with her and she still only lets it go about as far as could still be seen as platonic. In fact we even see Kasumi repeatedly question Sakurako about why she would want to do things like massage her etc. It's like she doesn't even really see why Sakurako would want to be touching her and doing these sorts of things with her and she even calls her weird for it.

I should add I absolutely adore this couple and it is obvious they love each other dearly which is why I think the asymmetrical dynamic in their relationship is so cute and unusual.

I personally think Hime and Yukka are a better match for each other. The (very) heated and confused Hime, combined with the coolheaded and rational Yukka. On the other hand, I think the timid and shy Akira might pair well with the outgoing and ditzy yet very kind Taneno pretty well.

I agree. Honestly those pairings are the only ones I really see any sort of real compatibility between.

They definitely both like each other. However I don't think it's accurate, literally or figuratively, to say they're ALREADY in a romantic relationship, not yet anyway. They still have another step or two left to go, and since two couples have already gone official thus far, it's fairly safe to say they'll get there. What I don't buy is that Kasumi secretly thought they were going out the whole time, or that they're making out and having sex off-panel.

They:
-Love each other (confirmed by both now)
-Live together
-Support each other in all matters of life
-Casually kiss
-Go on dates
-Sleep in the same bed and cuddle (Saku even gives Kasumi hickeys)
-Their relatiopnship is acknolwedged by both families
-Decide to live together for the rest of their lives

I don't know what more you need for them to be a couple aside from verbal confirmation. Which as we just established, is pretty much not needed.

The one thing that can be argued is if Kasumi has any sexual interest in Sakurako or anyone else for that matter since she constantly shuts Sakurako down the moment she tries to take things past cuddling or an occasional light kiss and has never shown any interest in sex or physical intimacy beyond basic cuddling. It's one of the things I am constantly looking for when reading this series, any sign of Kasumi instigating or desiring physical affection from her partner.

Over the course of the series Kasumi has shut Sakurako down every single time she tries to take things past first base, often quit brutally. One of the big firsts a lot of people overlooked in this chapter was when Sakurako was drunk, Kasumi was way less firm about shutting her down than usual. I'm surprised nobody commented on the fact that although Kasumi rebuffed Sakurako's over the top attempts at physical affection like she usually does, this time instead of just outright bluntly stopping her, she instead made a comment about how they shouldn't be doing this outside which is a first. Implicit in that statement is the idea that if they were alone indoors she might be ok with it.

From what we have seen Mei is highly sexually aggressive. I think Yuzu needs to be more worried about making sure Mei knows to not leave any permanent marks.

Matsumoto is sweet as hell, she knows Myako best. I love the way she just casually calls myako's mom "mother".

I think the word you are looking for is insidious. That girl has manipulated and ingratiated herself into Matsimoto's family against her wishes just so she can gain access and control over Matsumoto more freely.

Matsumoto is the stalker, you mean Hoshino (Miyako and Hinata's surname).

Also, that final page was perfect xD

Ooops, looks like my dyslexia got the best of me. I got the names reversed. I was trying to comment about Matsumoto stalking Myako not the other way around.
