Main thing I'm saying here is at least we're a small community and it could be a lot more chaotic. Especially with a chapter like this where the perspective of the audience and the interpretation has resulted in some rather divided views with the audience. Personally I can see where the different sides of the conversation are coming from with how they're seeing the chapter, and I genuinely don't think it's a big deal at the end of the day. We're probably going to settle into the time skip with the next chapter or so, and get some wholesome couple fluff that heals everyone's hearts soon, hopefully anyhow!

The chapter didn't land perfectly with some of us but to my knowledge we're already very chill. We have somewhat differing perspectives and opinions, but I don't see it as anyone panicking or throwing the series out. Some of us don't care for the line but it's really not a big deal lol

I think the timeskip makes perfect sense, but I agree that the "did she bring a girl home" line is a bit weird to me. That said, Aya having some unresolved insecurities does not seem out of character for me, especially since Mitsuki tends to do most of her thinking internally before making a decision, as evidenced by the surprise purchases, and that can be difficult for Aya who needs more communication. It's a good reflection of Joe and Kanna in that Joe also has trouble communicating, and that led to their breakup, which doesn't mean that Aya and Mitsuki will breakup, but that there is an area where they need to put in more work to meet each other halfway.

I think that's fair and your perspective is very reasonable, thanks for sharing your thoughts. It felt a little out of character to me but I think you're right about there being insecurities, and how it reflects Joe and Kanna is interesting to think about. I should say also this chapter doesn't make me think less or worse of the series, only that I think I need another chapter or two to get used to the time skip. I'm excited to see more and where we go from here assuming that the series is going to continue for awhile longer.

I agree with you Bielna, I love the series but the chapter didn't entirely land for me. Aside from what I already said the "Don't tell me she brought a girl home...!?" line really threw me off. The time jump is very sudden and it was lot to take in within a short chapter, I think future chapters will help balance things out though.

I don't really think this is matter of us "being whiny, bitching, not understanding narrative clues", as some people are rudely saying. We simply have a different perspective and view on the chapter than some people, which is normal and not everyone is going to think exactly the same thing. As you've said Bielna this is a forum to discuss the series and people will have different thoughts to share. As it's normal for people to have different opinions on the chapter. Ultimately though I think we all love the series, just because the chapter threw some of us off a little doesn't change that lol

The literal sentence is 私にはいま、同居人がいる which means, translated literally, "As for me right now, there is someone living with me".

I just think it's to keep the next page a "surprise" by implying it may be someone else. Not to say that they broke up or something.

Blastaar was right, if two girls don't carry a sign with "we're girlfriends" written on it at all times, there will be people who won't be convinced they're dating even after it's been explicitly spelled out.

Let's slowly go through it then. The first use of 'roommate' by Aya is there to narrate to the audience that her and Mitsuki's living situation has changed since we last saw them. Her assuming Mitsuki brought a girl home is a comedic reaction to Mitsuki being caught off-guard by Aya walking in while she's setting up the home theater because Mitsuki feels awkward about having bought it without Aya's permission. The second use of 'roommate' by Aya is said in this context because expenses like that should be managed by both. When Mitsuki acts cool to shake Aya's nagging off, there's a drawing of an arrow piercing Aya's heart, showing she loves Mitsuki no matter what. I hope this helps.

I don't appreciate your condescending tone, it's entirely unnecessary. For the record people, including myself, were happy to get a confirmation that they are a couple, we already knew they were a couple and thought the confirmation was nice to have. That's not a bad thing, especially as lots of media still avoids stating a relationship directly.
