Keine x Mokou is my favorite canon-esque pairing. It's so often used to convey tragedy and bittersweet endings. If not them, I have a serious thing for Youmu, and Yuyuko x Youmu.

But I also really like how some crackier pairings are written, like Mystia x Mokou (Mitsumoto), Alice x Patchouli (Rocket Fuel), and Yuumu x Lunasa (Fujiirosabu).

It is really good. Finished reading it earlier this week, been looking for a hard translation since. My one complaint would be that the ending is just a bit too sudden. It could've gone on for twice as long! (Yeah yeah, asking for too much...)

General interest/OT; if that top 5 is pretty concrete, what are the other 4?

Is this the release you were talking about in the last Sparrow thread drpepperfan? (If anyone's read both, I'd love to know if there are any differences in the Pixiv/Official releases).

This story is excellent, though a bit long. Even if you're not a Touhou fan, you really ought to give it a go.

Usually this kind of thing just gets me angry at the bullied person. I mean, being in their shoes I would at least get a good punch on the bullies, seriously.

No chance of seeing if that happened or not. Then again, Sachiko seemed to have a very small build. Not much you can do against a gang anyway.

That's a pretty excellent post. Yuyushiki is one I'm going to have to check out - I've liked the manga and Komata's Lucky Star/K-On doujinshi (A few of which are on the site, and are plenty yuri-ish in their own right) for a while, yet I somehow missed that whole "anime adaption" thing till very recently.

I certainly have a much better idea of what you were talking about in your previous post now. I can't say too much on the topic as I've only recently caught up with yuri anime from years ago (Simoun, Saki, Marimite, Aoi Hana, SK, Madoka), but I do thank you kindly for sharing.

You know Sol, you should be sharing some of these series with all this yuri. While I highly doubt they can pass up Marimite for pseudo-romance, or Simoun for actual canon lesbians, I'm interested.

^Eeeehhhhh? That's something worth hunting down. I had heard previously there was one more book about them (that hadn't been scanned), but it's possible someone just got that confused with the extended print version of this.

Anyway, I adored this. Probably the strangest pairing I've ever seen.

The amount of cuteness in chapter 11 is just too great for me to handle.

But I hope the couples get together in the end.

Kishi needs to draw a sex scene or two...

He did a ton of them in Maka-maka, which is very worth checking out if you haven't already (though it's licensed and OOP in the US).

Page 27...that dialogue...kinda needs a hand-wave Imo. Feels totally out of place with everything said before and afterwards.

The rest of it was pretty good. I usually just skim loli's, but the cover was stunning, and there wasn't a lot of indulgement in that whole, "little girls having sex" thing, which is kinda nice.

It's Dowman Sayman. This is probably his most tame, understandable work, if you can believe that. It was published in Comic Megastore H, which is actually an important point in getting one of the jokes (it's obvious if you read it).

I'm surprised to see this on here but in a way I'm not. This is truly some hilarious stuff without a doubt imo.

It's yuri! So of course it was going to make its way on eventually.

And I knew Shinobu some what liked Yuri but I guess she has Azusa now :D

And you know what? Yuri's all tsun-tsun, it never would have worked. Azusa is a total babe, not to mention how confident she was portrayed in this little chapter. I think Shinobu got a pretty good deal being snatched up by her.

Ah, that. I was having trouble with it too, as the shift in pairings comes out of nowhere.

I assume there is some better explanation of it in the actual released book (i.e. artist comments, a break for a title page, or something similar), but these are two self-contained stories. The first, written by Mikami, is continued in subsequent chapters; the second, written by Hirosaki, is a one-shot that has no relation to anything else within the series.

Actually, now that I look, you can see the back tip of it on the last panel of page 11. So Suga did draw it. A little bit.

Anyway, this was probably the sweetest part of volume 1, and if Notes does come to a close here shortly, I wouldn't mind seeing a brief series focusing on these two.
