W...t...f... lol, this was a bit too explicit for me. Even if they were shaped like girls, that still basically ended up being 5 pages or so of cock rubbing. Can't think of this as real yuri at all...

As for the tags though, I do sorta wonder why "het" would be there? As far as what happened, the opposite pairs didn't really interact at all. I'd see it more as a straight up yaoi/yuri work.

Manga aggregation is pretty much by nature a morally grey area, by extension of manga scanlation itself. You take illegally replicated materials, and distribute them on the net for free. The only reason scanlation gets by legally is because the content publishers have neither the resources to consistently pursue and prosecute scanlators, nor often to distribute the material themselves (in the first place). That's why, from a fan/moral perspective, scanlation is about making it possible to enjoy/appreciate a series/part of a medium which would otherwise not at all be available.

The problem with aggregators is that it's pretty much impossible to think of hosting an undifferentiated mass of manga scanlations without some sort of income stream. However, the fact that it is possible to host an aggregator site based on just ad revenues (since with scanlated manga you pretty much don't need to deal with stuff like translation, licensing fees) means that it will be mostly profit-minded parties which do it. Once you step past the line of merely distributing translated unlicensed materials which the original publishers are unable to provide in your language, to outright profiting from the illegal distribution of those materials, what you do no longer has anything to do with "fandom" but is simply (intellectual property) theft.

In an ideal world scanlation would be uniformly small, fan-driven, and non-profit in support of smaller/lesser-known properties, while larger properties which could conceivably manage to sustain an income stream would be distributed by legal internet distribution services. However, that isn't the case right now, which is why scanlation aggregators (and also a number of unscrupulous scanlators influenced/supported by them) exist. To the extent that aggregators provide a convenient (if frequently low-quality) method for maintaining exposure to a lot of manga material, there isn't much of an alternative. However, what fans can do is do their best to support legal distribution of manga (etc.) wherever possible. In regards to scanlation, correspondingly, that also means doing one's best not to support a culture of illegally profiting from other people's work.

in the original tank there is this page, is it important?

http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5550/9180024949_74d6a864b9_o.jpg

It's an explanation of most of the stuff which was mentioned in the translation notes. I.e. what a kaichigo is, the shell-matching game from the Heian period, how "shell-matching" is an euphemism for lesbians, etc.

Thanks for the latest chapter! I don't really like the main character/Hakamada's tendency to get a bit too melodramatic/introspective/depressive sometimes, but Hikawa managed to be really cute somehow. This ultimately did end up quite an enjoyable story.

One thing I'm still wondering about though is what really did happen regarding Hikawa's feelings for her sensei. Did she just give up? Since she didn't really give Natsuki a straight answer I'm wondering if their relationship has really been resolved.

Incidentally, I think posts in this thread have probably made too big a deal about the spelling thing...while of course it's important to care about correct use of language, a couple typos/misspellings here and there is not really beyond even the best of scanlating teams.

Well, that was super cute...and the sex was pretty well-drawn, too. Also, I laughed out loud at the author's note; by all means, I think it's great when an author sticks with one pairing, as long as they like.

Always love to see some ReiMari.

Any comments about the yuri-level of this series? I haven't checked it out yet.

Holy crap Caramel is too much fun. I'm really diggin' this.

But also, wow at the number of characters. There's practically a new one every chapter, it's pretty ridiculous. The author seems pretty reckless with their cast expansion, I wonder if they're gonna slow down now.

Happy to see a new chapter! Love this but why would she need the "rip"...really, why? Made me chuckle.

Haha, I get the feeling Wakatsuki hasn't really thought out her "plan" yet...

Anyway, so it's the sempai that's coming along as the supervisor...that's a pretty great twist. I'm really excited to see what happens. Thanks for the chapter!

Police girl is not exactly my type, but I think she is fine? What's with all the hate? She doesn't seem like a bad person.

Anyway, the whole police thing does seem like a rather wild twist in the plot though, particularly if there's just one chapter left. As a story I think I like Cirque Arachne better. Nonetheless this chapter was pretty enjoyable. Thanks to the Yuri Project team!

Some nice little shorts. Page order on this one
http://dynasty-scans.com/chapters/if_mami_were_still_alive_when_kyouko_appeared
is messed up for the moment, though.

Eilanya is a miracle of cuteness, that's for sure. Their episodes in both anime seasons are works of art.

Man, I'm actually pretty weak against the hardcore spicy stuff but those chips are making me salivate. Also, the supervisor is really cute but I wonder if the girls will ever manage to tame her personality.
It is pretty satisfying to see chapters of this again, I'm glad it got picked back up.

Haha, they do super erotic stuff for sure. Homura Subaru was actually one of the very first artists I got into as a yuri fan, although their stuff is sometimes lacking on the romantic side. I actually considered that their work might be too fetishistic for this reader (lol, really?) but it is a pleasant surprise to see this here.

I wonder/suppose we might also see Homuraya's (second) collected "Milk!" compilation soon uploaded here? Which got translated recently. I'm slightly curious to see how that'd go. Homura Subaru's stuff has honestly got some of the most erotic treatments of female sexuality I've ever seen but I eventually started to realize that, even with all girls, it isn't all that "yuri".

This was a really sweet chapter, a bit different from Takemiya's normal style. I also really liked the kiss scene.

The omake couple intrigued me...Jin has a habit of setting up these tense/dramatic situations/conflicts and leaving them unresolved. The blond/jealous girl is quite cute; it is pretty evil that that's probably all about that couple we will get :P.

Thanks for more Takemiya Jin!

Oh wow, Caramel was great in chapter 5, lol. I wonder if she can keep it up now that she's hiding her identity. On the other hand, her relationship with Chocolate is also pretty interesting.

That "lesbian sisters" comment sure came out of nowhere...for Pudding, I would have said I was seeing subtext with every other character first.

Anyway, good stuff.

Oh man, mangaka perving on Aoi Yuuki lol/wtf. Although, all of this production talk actually does make me like the series more. I think I still haven't watched the OVA actually, maybe I'll check it out sometime.

Haha, watching Haru react to Akane's interactions with Riko is pretty interesting. I thought she'd played it pretty cool up to this chapter, but that outburst was pretty hilarious.

The chapter titles for this series are somehow quite tempting...an interesting effect. "Adult and Sake and Hot Spring", "Riko and Family and Dinner", and "Riko and Haru and Delicious Tomato" sound like especially tantalizing combinations right now.

Nice chapter, and I'm looking forward to volume 2. Thanks YP team!

I don't think anyone was looking for that, But i would have definitely liked to see some acknowledgement of past events, I mean if a samesex "friend" of mine offered me the chance to experiment with same-sex relationships I probably wouldn't ignore it the next day like the main character did. some sort of reaction is to be expected when you drop a bomb like that (especially since if i remember correctly she spent time in the west before going to japan, in the rare event ignoreing your friends homosexual lust for you is a Japanese things lol.). overall i liked the story but after that part it kinda jumped the shark.

That happened in like freakin' chapter 4. It's been like 2 weeks since that in story time, so I don't know why you think it'd be relevant in this last chapter. Particularly since way bigger things had happened for their relationship since then, namely misunderstandings/drama and them not even talking to each other. The reason Yuri and Misono fell out wasn't romantic in the first place (it was about Yuri being bothered by Misono's status and them questioning the very existence of their friendship) so there was no reason to shove that in.

Would it have been good to get back around to the same-sex romantic developments? Sure, of course. But when you consider that the emotional core of this series was about Yuri and Misono opening up as friends from the beginning, it's only natural that the conclusion addresses those themes first.

For some reason it seems like the words "ending" or "final chapter" always seem to distract people into ranting about their expectations, rather than paying attention to what would actually make sense for the story's plot. If Tsubomi had gone on longer and this series had gotten a longer serialization, the romance would have continued from this point. Since it didn't, we'll have to look to the extras for romantic resolution, but that doesn't mean that what we actually got up to now wasn't well written or doesn't make sense. This ending is exactly where you should have expected the story to stop after you heard that it would conclude with the second volume.

Just sit tight and wait for the extras, like people have said so many times. Do you think the author actually wanted to end the story here, or wasn't constrained by the end of his serialization? Wait until the full comments come out and the story actually finishes before jumping to sweeping conclusions like you are now.

Hahaha yes! I made the request for this, it's just pretty damn amazing. Perverted Mokou, possessive Keine, adorable Kaguya, it's too good. Thanks for the upload!

Lot's of yelling for the finale, heh. Pretty satisfying to see these two get back on their feet. Fujiwara made a couple adorable faces in this chapter lol, I guess this is the one chance we'll get to see her looking vulnerable.

I think Suga could have gone a bit more psychological with the drama if he'd had more page/chapter lengths...or else gotten more time for that casual banter which made the start chapters so great. It really is such a shame this couldn't have been serialized a bit longer. Still though, I think we can at least trust that this series will give us a satisfying conclusion. I'll be looking forward to the final/extra chapter.

I'm also curious to know about Suga-sensei's prospects for work after this series. Now that Tsubomi has shut down, I guess to do more yuri he'd have to find a different publisher? Do we know how the closure/transition has worked out for some of the other Tsubomi authors? In any case, I definitely hope we'll see more from this mangaka.

Kaguya is just too brilliant, I can't help but laugh at her personality in these doujins. Would be nice if Mokou could be shown just slightly getting past her tsundere mode.

Dat mouthwash...and planned highjacking of the tea ceremony club. This one seems over the top in a number of ways. The amount of sugar is way too much for me but I suppose I can get into it. Not a bad start.
