Feel like I'm the only one thats not seeing the yandere part.
You're not the only one. I don't see anything of the sort in this. It could possibly be people not understanding what the word means, or just a weird misunderstanding.
I think at least a part of it is preservation. Yes, using any of the other scripts would technically be easier for people to deal with, especially foreigners. But if they only used hiragana or katakana, there's a fear that kanji would eventually become a dead script. Plus, aren't family names almost always in kanji anyway?
Well, take a look at the girl holding a bear in this page
Similar hairstyle with Akane and already friends with Mei --> I'm like, 90% sure that is Akane.
Not even the same hair color, unless she dyes it darker for being an idol.
Had my first actual run-in with a "Covid Carl" today at a Dollar General. Dude screamed at me, "How dare you talk to my wife that way?" when I asked his absent-minded spouse who kept creeping towards me (within 2 feet of me) to please stop. Thankfully the store clerk AND the guy's wife told him to knock it off. What the hell even is this reality?
Yep. Rinna IS an idol. In the first flashback panel on the bottom of this page she's wearing the exact same idol outfit as "Akane" is wearing in the picture at the top of this page. Whether or not she is actually Akane or was simply in an idol unit with her remains to be seen.
I'm thinking the arrow system might be set up primarily to differentiate them for each character, with changes in that particular arrow to denote feelings. The dad's and mom's being different just might be so you don't confuse which is which in the panel.
Planned obsolescence and sub-standard parts. Combined with the really sub-human moves they've made lately, I can't see myself ever buying another Nintendo product.
Without bottoms, all you'd have is useless tops and a lot of frustrated people. This also looks like people just modifying the "haha, poor" meme, which is so cancerous and disgusting itself. Not a good look, people.
As a man, seeing a woman brutalize asshole creeps and send them away crying (or to the hospital) just warms my heart. All little girls should have martial arts training, as far as I'm concerned.
I really don't quite know how to respond to that video. I'm actually trying to figure out if this is a misheard lyrics thing or if somebody actually programmed them to say...that. Either way, it's hilarious, thank you.
I was devastated once I found out the name Sean was not pronounced the same as the word bean. sean bean, could have been the greatest
I remember when I found out the same thing. I must have been around 9 or 10, and I was reading an old Bloom County comic compilation that mentioned Sean Penn's rather violent tendencies towards paparazzi in the 80s. I asked my mom who "Seen Penn" was, and she laughed and told me the correct pronunciation. My world was opened just a little bit wider.
