I'm now to the point that I only wish for just one scene, even if it's just a one last scene of story, I want to see a genuine happy Seju in someone's arms, someone she loves, no matter who that is and I'll be contented. I only ask for one scene, just one simple scene.

Nami <3

^It'll probably be explained when she finally opens up to Sungji - she has to. Maybe even with a tiny flashback.

Btw, it had to hurt a lot, doing a tattoo on scars...

Hm.
Flowers are given layers of symbolic wrapping in Japanese culture. The wisteria, for example, epitomizes courtly elegance; the plum is associated with scholars; and the cherry blossom is the essence of evanescent beauty. The yamabuki is not so celebrated as any of these, but connotes freshness and innocence. A poem from the Man'yôshû, Japan's earliest collection of verses, speaks of an unforgettable woman "as beautiful as the fragrance of the yamabuki" (yamabuki no nihoheru imo).

The poem though was about such woman :) to me it looks like she might've chosen this flower to symbolize a fresh start or sth like that.

Im pretty sure Sungji knows the story behind the tattoo but just doesn't focus on it like Sumins past partners. I think that maybe Nora89 is talking metaphorically anyway?

Nope, Sungji only knew about Seju being Sumin's first after the cheating, Nammi did not even tell her details.. and Nammi does not know much about the Baeks or Seju.
But the rest is yes, metaphorical.. I doubt any one else knows about the scar.
When Sungji became curious in ch23, Sumin flinshed and never discussed it again.

Yeah, I also don't think anyone else knows about the scar. Nami included. She might be Sumin's friend, but she doesn't know many secrets about her.

You're really concerned about SuminxSungji endgame, arent you? You really want them to be together in the end, dont you? XD. In every of your comment, it's all about SuminxSungji endgame =)))))). Why dont you just enjoy the moment right now when they're absolutely together and having cute moments together instead of keeping worrying that they will not end up together like the way you want to? And seriously, 90% they will be together, why do you have to keep proving it? =)))))) Afraid that the author will give a plot twist which makes SuminxSeju endgame? What's wrong with that? Just enjoy and discuss about watever the author throws at us =))))))). I'm sorry to say this but you sound absolutely like many of paranoid teamblonde fans out there who just cares about whether your couple ends up together or not =)))))). Come on, you guys have the luxurious right that is enjoy the fact that they are a couple, way luckier than teampink fans out there, why do you have to be so worked up about the ending so much?

My luck for canon ships that makes sense and good stories that deliver them simply suck. It's literally 1 ship every 2 years for me. And it's been more than 2 years already since my last canon, logical, full of sense ship happened. Lets say I'm thirsty for fresh blood and something pleasant :p

I'm on mobile so forgive me if there will be any mistakes (autocorrection can go wrong). I've read on a different forum something about an interview with TG where it was said what's coming up for WDTFS and apparently the manga will end with Seju alive. Then, TG will take a short hiatus and come back with 2 stories:
1) young Sumin x Seju, their backstories and how they fell in love
2) Sumin x Sungji stories, how they fell in love

No idea how true it is, but considering only 6 chapters left, it'd make sense to dig more into them later. And if there's Sumin x Sungji story planned then pinky may free Sumin. Damn, I really want Nami back.

Sumin did not need to deal with Sumin's demons

Tell that to people with PTSD - they face their demons every day. So did Sumin. She still does.

Your pov really make me want to say sth back, dont you? :)

They also love continuity. If Sumin x Sungji are building up for so long, it'd be feel like a waste of time (and money) to the majority if Sumin end up with Seju. Oh, people would get pissed.

=)))), do you watch korean dramas? There are bunch of them with questionable endings and literally make you go "wtf?", but it doesnt make the drama become less famous =))))). In fact, it becomes even more famous =))))), why? People talk about it, hate it, show their displeasure =)))))). And waste of time and money? It was readers who follow the story, but how the story goes is totally depending on the writer. A real writer is the one who doesnt care what readers want but what they want for their work, how their characters are gonna be, not the readers want. And as I can see, TG already has everything plans out already. She even made a preference from 70 chaps ago to the recent chaps. That means she knows from the beginning what she wants to draw, not what readers want.

Japanese and chinese dramas are the same, but there's a difference between tv and manga ;)

Pleasing the majority also means money - more copies to sell. Just look at Naruto. The majority wasn't into Naruto and Hinata, they wanted Naruto to end up with Sakura, BUT Naruto x Hinata and Sakura x Sasuke meant more money because 2 teams combined won over 1, even if it made completely no sense since the relationship was not developed at all. WDTFS isn't big and TG can only please 1 team, which will be more important - pink with less sales or blonde with more sales? ;) At the end of the day it's all about money and future projects. Besides, letting Seju accept Sumin x Sungji relationship and walking away would give TG quite a nice chance to write a spin off.

You think of a spin off for Seju because you think she...sales alot but you think an ending with teampink wont sale? Your logic is funny :). If the writer really wants a spin off, there no need to have Seju alone, SejuxSumin can make an effing spin off if they want, what about they together solve Seju's other family problems,....? Or how about Sungji spin off? Since Sungji might sale more, that would be one heck of a spin off cause Sungji fans are quite alot? Why it has to be Seju spin off?

Pink spin off would've been interesting because people would be able to warm up towards her and see her building a happy, healthy relationship with someone else. Team blonde would have their happy ending and team pink should be happy for their beloved char happiness. 2 birds shot ;)

I myself am team blonde, but I don't hate Seju. I want her to be happy, just not with Sumin. I simply can't see them going back together after 10 years of being toxic to each other. Some of you see Seju as a strong character. I don't. She used to be, but she's becoming a leach now. I can't reason with her betrayal, it was plain stupid to me - sleeping with a guy because she was angry at her gf losing the ring. She started this toxic circle, she should be the one to end it by letting go and moving on. Happiness is waiting for her, somewhere. She just needs to find it.

You dont hate her but you call her a leach? Emotional needs for a person who is all alone in this world for 34 years automatically make you a leach then why kind of person Sumin is for 10 god damn years, who totally used her money to survive? Her girlfriend's parents died and that said girlfriend was blaming every fucking thing on her head, that was why she takes off her ring, read the chap again, it was not just about the ring.
And happiness is somewhere waiting for her but she's ony need one god damn happiness that is Sumin, so what's so wrong about fighting till she could have it? Why dont you say this, Sungji, there is happiness somewhere out there, just go out and you'll get it, Sumin is not the only one? Why dont you let go and find happiness SOME WHERE ELSE?

Yes, I call her a leach even though I don't hate her ;)
Sumin had a job for all those years. Seju bought her company, but Sumin WORKED for the money she got. What she was using though, was Seju herself, every time her relationship failed. But Seju loved that and wanted her more broken every time. Toxic circle is toxic.
Her parents died, she was angry and was lashing off, but Seju wasn't really there for her. She was all "it's been a month, move on already!". A month! It's not nearly enough time to move on after losing BOTH parents. What did Seju do? Yeah, had sex with a guy...

^If this lake was so calm and not too deep she would't cry like crazy after Sungji dumped her ass. The only time she cried like that before was after Seju betrayed her. Meaning - she loves Sungji as much as she used to love Seju over 10 years ago.

by deep, I meant she did not need to deal with her demons.
I could argue with you on why she cried so hard.. it is not only being dumbed by Sungji, 30+ girls to overcome the first one are quite a big number.. exhausting and hopeless, tired of running in circles.
did she love Sungji? YES
did she got over Seju? nope !

Seju didn't need to deal with Sumin's demons either. She betrayed her when Sumin needed her most and shortly after that, her brother gifted her with scars and trauma. Sumin pushed her away, again, dealt with everything alone and you can see it still haunts her.

No, she cried because it was Sungji, not some random chick ;) If Nami see their relationship as serious than it is serious. Plus, Sumin is working hard to rebuild Sungji's trust. She was never like that with Seju, he never invested in her relationship with Seju too much.

I don't think she'll ever fully get over Seju. First love always leaves something in us. Everything first happened with that person so it'll always be special deep in our hearts. I'm such a person. My 1st is dead though so I can't even think "what if we didn't end things". But I can't say my love to that person is fully gone. Because it's not. Even after 12 years, it's still somewhere out there in my heart.

Some people want to see a happy couple after a story has ended. Or it's a case of seeing it till the end, people have already made the investment so want to see it finish. Hopefully ending the way they want too.

I'd say Sumin love Seju, but not the way she used to (for example, I love my best friend, but I love her like a sister - we know each other for 27 years). She fell for Sungji, even Nami called their relationship serious and saw it as a danger to Seju x Sumin. She was right. Sungji brought light to Sumin's life once again, she made her want to live. Sumin's relationship with Seju went too far with toxicity, they can't come back from it just like that. Not in 6 chapters or so. My bet is Sungji is the end game here and Seju will either accept it, die or fly away. I can't see any other ways to deal with this triangle tbh.
I still see Seju's love for Sumin toxic, now more to herself than Sumin, but she's still trying to push buttons and constantly fails. She's playing with both of them and I wonder if this is some kind of a test for Sungji - will she stay by Sumin's side or not. And if yes, will she walk away, knowing Sumin had finally end up with the right person?

^She kinda stopped thinking about Seju and started about Sungji. Sumin moved on, it's Seju who can't do the same. I can't see them going back together. I think Seju will either fly to USA or commit a suicide. There's also a very tiny chance for her allowing Nami into her life, which would be the best IMO. I want her to be happy, but I also want both her and Sumin be finally free from each other.

Going back to Sumin x Seju isn't possible IMO. The story is about healing and their relationship became too toxic. Sungji healed Sumin a lot. Seju is still who she used to be, still trying to manipulate Sumin back which means toxic relationship once again. What Seju needs is also someone who could heal her. Or she'll leave, go to the US with her devoted brother who btw should be the one living with her instead of putting her with Sumin. I don't know what game is he playing, but it's not good for anyone.

"Things have changed" is from Sungji. I do not wonder about that "Nothing has changed" since imo everything happening right now is not new to Seju. Last year, she perhaps was dealing with Sumin's 30th gf, now it's Sumin's 31st gf, and next year, she will have to face the 32nd one. Nothing has changed indeed.

Nah, Sumin and Sungji are for sure the endgame here so yes, everything changed for Seju - she lost.

You're a reader, from perspective of a reader, yes, seju might probably lose to sungji long before she said those words but seju is a character in this story, she doesnt know that, or at least doesnt simply just admit defeat, she will still wait and think things wont change. Dont use your own conclusion on a character in the story. Put in her shoes and think instead. You can predict the ending or endgame couple, but dont use your prediction to judge a character's actions or words.

Sorry, but she must be blind if she can't see how strong is Sumin's connection to Sungji. It's not like anything before. She made sure at least one of prev Sumin's relationships end up ruined, she tried to do the same with Sungji and failed. No matter how much she tries to break them apart, she can't.

I think most Seju fans like her a lot because of how she is the most well-written character with the most intriguing back story in WDTFS. If she was the typical crazy ex-gf, almost nobody will like her and she has too much redeeming qualities for a villain. imo Seju is a anti-villain character.

I'd agree if she had such backstory tbh. We've got more of Sumin's story than Seju's and Sumin's seems to be more interesting. Seju is another girl from rich family with serious problems... which happens pretty often.

Sungji is likeable but she's too bland to get me invested in her character while I have love/hate tendency with Sumin. I didn't like that there's little doubt or resistance with the main couple's feelings for each other and there's more build up to their steamy scenes than adding more angles or plot to test the strength of their relationship. there's just little to look forward with the main couple story but they did great as a fan service couple. so I will give them that.

Bland? Nope. She's young and yet able to stand against her boss when it comes to her own life an happiness. She's stubborn, but also compassionate. She knows what she wants, but she's not getting it by manipulations and toxic behaviour.

Sumin is simply unlucky. First she's lost her parents. Then her love. Then she got scarred by ex's bro because he wanted to curse her for the rest of her life. Then she enters toxic relationship of always coming back to Seju, broken and vulnerable, with Seju constantly wanting to make her hate her more and more every time. Then there's Sungji who wakes the old Sumin up, makes Sumin want to feel good once again in its pure form. So Seju does everything to first pair them, then break them, because this time it'd be the last nail to Sumin's coffin thanks to a powerful bond she shares with Sungji - last time she had it was over 10 years ago with no other but Seju herself. Thankfully, Sungji isn't Seju or even Sumin and forgave her. If she didn't, I'm almost sure Sumin would've commited a suicide at some point.

If Seju is not gonna let go of Sumin even until the very end of the story, my imagination would be that she will never lose.

She has already lost. And if she doesn't let go, it's a double loss. It feels like she becomes Sumin's dog. I know she feels like she has no one, but she got to realize she deserves better.

No, not yet. Her life has been like that since 10 years ago. If she lets go of Sumin now, then every thing she's done for Sumin as well as her 10 years of waiting for Sumin would all turn in vain. Nami told her that she was like Sumin's dog long time ago, it's not new. She feels like she has no one cuz she actually doesn't have anyone. Does she neccessarily need to let go of the one she love in order for her to realize that she deserves better? What if after letting go of Sumin, she realizes nothing? What if she doesn't fall in love with anyone after that?

She has one devoted brother. Devoted to the point in which he scarred someone she loved most for the rest of her life which was a mistake that made getting this love back impossible.

Do you still think Sungji letting go is better?

I kinda like Sungji in this chapter esp during bed talk. I hope TG will make us like Sungji more just like he did to seju's character.

Actually, I prefer Sungji over Seju.

If Seju is uncomfortable then I'm a Queen of England. She's having way too much fun trying to seduce Sumin...

It's good to see Sumin uncomfortable tho. She reacts properly to that leg touching. And Sungji - she has every right to be worried and not like the situation. What's good is that Sumin is finally starting to open up about Seju. I wonder if she'll ever tell Sungji what she's been though thanks to Seju's sick family. Why she got that tattoo in the first place.

Melxlynn2

Oh, and unlike many people, I don't like this new twist even just a little bit, this is the move where Seju will be back to the triangle and forever stuck there, I want her to move on and this is totally move back, back to Sumin's circle, back to whatever mess we thought that it's already enough. Why do we have to have Seju in between those two for them to solve their couple problems? It's COUPLE, problems between two people not three, so why do SuminxSungji not solve their problems on their own but have to wait till Seju interfering...again?

I wouldn't say so. This actually gives all of them the opportunity to TALK, explain and start over. I'm giving the author a chance here.

Did you try The Third Party and The Love Doctor?

There's another option for the house - she wanted this house, badly. And she'd buy it, but Seju was faster. I also think she didn't sell her parents house because like she said, it's been 10 years and she's so haunted by their death. She was close to them.

Melxlynn2

She is not an empty shell when she is with Seju though. She knew how to comfort Seju when Seju's back from meeting her family, also, after Seju told her about her father's health, she hoped he would get better.

That's not really the case.
Her love for Seju for the past 10 years was more like being used to her, knowing her, hoping she could feel anything. But those were mostly negative emotions. And yes, you can hate and love at the same time, it's what called a toxic love. It's different from normal, satisfying, healthy love. Toxic love is empty because of the lack of positivity.

Now look at Sumin's love for Sungji. Sure cares about her and her feelings. When she thought Sungji was angry, she went to her in the middle of the night. She didn't want just sex - she was waiting for Sungji and herself to be sure they have a chance to work out. She wants Sungji to be happy, even if she herself will end up hurt and alone. She feels bad without her around. She's actually living again and enjoying this life. Sungji brought her back. Seju was unable to wake all this in her for 10 years, mostly thanks to her brother, but also to get own approach - she wanted Sumin to hate her instead of patiently working on her when she end up hurt again. You won't earn forgiveness and positive response if you put salt into the wound and that's exactly what Seju did. Just because Sumin reacted to Seju's dad being sick means nothing since she not a sociopath. Same goes with her "comforting" Seju after she met with her fam.

We never saw Sumin and Sungji having any serious talk yet. As a reader, I still don't know how honest Sungji is, tbh. I believe Sumin still sees Sungji as an innocent girl. They date, but it seems to me that they only got to know each other as much as normal friends do.

I guess we just read into things differently, i thought the conversations in ch 51 & 52 were important.

Ch11 too.
