The other Hijiki series ended up with subtext after having the Yuri tag for so long. The author may want Yuri to happen hence all these moments we got so far but it may not be the same for the editor/publisher I guess?

I always thought Shuri sent in Ayumi's name but I didn't think the teacher would be involved. Haha this group is all kinds of messed up.

She was saving her in that dialogue (CPR). But story line wise, they did have an intimate relationship in one of the routes, apparently.

I'd like to see the usual shoujo rom-com anime, but instead of the girl having a harem of guys it's just tomboys. Literally no difference but it's yuri now

And as for what "Lady Kiyohana" died of, it's not suicide, but a random STD. They talk about her teeth blackening and her health going down.

That was the women gossiping. In the panels, you can see her body/feet are drenched, so I would assume she drowned herself or was pushed in. Unless there's some sort of water cleansing ritual they do in Japan to the dead body right after they find it. It would be weird if she died right after their night together O:
