I like the reversal aspect of this, but that's about it. This one falls headfirst into the usual trap for this kind of work, it just feels mean spirited, rather than deep or dark, or anything like that. Out of this recent glut of works about abuse we've had on here, I think this one is one of the worst.

i don´t think it s supossed to be deep i think it´s supossed to be crude, tbh i love this new wave of works. It so refreshing to see works that don´t romanticize or justify shitty behaviour and portray the character as deeply flawed and wounded indivuduals but also makes them fully responsible for their actions (like kitanai)

you know what ? this seires has had its lows and highs but honestly this chapter was beatifull , i love how kurokawa doesn´t inmediatly jump to the " i love you too" cliche, i think is great that she just puts our her honest feelings and apologizes to nanaki for hurting her even if it wasn´t her fault entirely , and how nanaki is there to suport her and tell her the words she needs to hear,
i love how the romance gets sideline in order to let the charactesr just talk to each other, that was honestly a pretty great chapter

^yeah yaoi seems to have more variety so it gathers more people and it´s easier for non fans to watch

It'd be cool if we got an epic sports anime with a lesbian romance, a crime drama, epic action fantasy, something along those lines

my money was on shoujo kishidan x knight tale, the whole chivarly thing was new, cool and interesting. It had a lot of fan service but it felt like a proyect born out of love, sadly i don´t think the manga is coming back anytime soon so that´s that

Only downside is the more popular something gets the more awful the fandom tends to get as well haha

i don´t wanna imagine what a shit show will be if people find out about yuzumori san or itou hachi´s manga

i think there´s some progress into make yuri more accesible the fact that stuff like other side panic and fragtime (and maybe happy sugar life) got an anime adaptations fills me with hope that maybe someday stuff like citrus, NetsuzouTrap , sakura trick won´t be what people expect of yuri

@Ourdespair to be fair yaoi has some pretty strong animes that not only were popular the season they aired but they were strong contestants for anime of the year like banana fish or yuri on ice so it makes sense there´s more of it
i think yagate kimi ni naru is the closest a yuri anime has gotten to be mildly popular the season it aired

PD i´d also love a second season for YKN and adachi to shimamura

Yeah that's stuff i learn at mid school, but since that was long ago and i'm not particulary engaged on the world bulding i just used the medieval label wich propably was wrong/lazy on my part
However my point was that the manga overexplains stuff that based on the setting could be easily inferred and made the enourmous exposition unbeareable at times
And while your remark is true it completly misses the point of my original post

the manga is triying so hard to make people invested on the world (wich is a good thing) but god damnit everything is so generic that the exposition some times is just unbearable.

The setting is just your run of the mill medieval fantasy world, why the manga feels the need to over explain every little detail is not like people haven´t seen this setting a million times before, also the magic, you don´t need to over explain every little detail, just show some cool techniques and call it a day is just elemental magic it doesn´t need to make sense or be overly complicated
