It's so weird cus I feel like, as many criteria you give, I feel like it's a generic enough kind of love triangle, but then a lot of the smaller details start entering in conflict with whatever suggestions I might have, like

• The MC has someone they like and/or date
• then this third person appears and causes problems
• always going after the one who the MC likes and never the mc themselves.

Cus I mean
Sometimes, mc doesn't already have feelings in the beginning
Sometimes, the third person is already there, or that the person the MC likes already likes someone else (that is already there)
Sometimes, rather than a rival, the third person likes the mc (which you listed as a no-no) like a perfect love triangle)
Sometimes, the MC is actually the "third person" LOL, entering the story and getting the girl's interest
Sometimes, MC and the third person fall for each other LOL
Sometimes, everyone is already "there", but MC likes the 'third person' (who likes the other girl of the main "air") and then MC uh gets involved with the other girl
So like, in a way, it felt like a simple challenge, but it wasn't haha, I can't remember anything

That was pretty chill and mature-feeling, adult life stuff is nice
Speaking of "repeating this process over and over again" and getting caught in loops, mc more or less absentmindedly drawing the infinity symbol on the table was a nice detail

Plot went way over your head for that one. The characters' flaws and the conflicting decisions they make have like nothing to do with their sexuality. It literally could have been a story with heterosexual characters, and no one would have freaked out about "heterosexual misrepresentation", because it's legit not the point. It's a complicated, dramatic af story about these queer women's love lives, it's not actually saying that "yep this is standard lesbian behaviour, lesbians are all emotionally conflicted cheating assholes, spread the word"

Isn't it more that she's trying to say that the blonde is too good for an a guy like that, but it terrible at saying it? So the other girl assumes the MC wants to keep him for herself deep down, without realizing that MC wants to actually date her instead. So nobody actually wants the dude (not really sure what the blonde saw in him to start with), and it's all a huge, if understandable, misunderstanding.

I'm still a but confused at the ending of chap 8, silver hair girl says he more honest with yourself, does main character have feelings left for the man and that's why grabbed silver's arm or was she just irriated

From what I remember (I'm on my phone, it's too inconvenient to reread, my bad if I forget anything TTvTT):
As much as MC feels attracted to this new girl (and how her ex is an obvious douchebag), we can't deny that she did date him for x amount of time, she wouldn't go out with him if she didn't at least like him a bit. Seems like the relationship wasn't ideal tho, and that she's been putting up with his flaws/shortcomings for quite a bit, and his unfaithfulness is the obvious straw that broke the camel's back (as in, he could have been great, but cheating is still ofc a dealbreaker lol). It's good to see that she has self respect/knows she deserves better however, and recognises that he's a fucking jerk, hence doesn't plan on continuing dating him.

I suppose what the short-haired girl meant is that as rational as MC is about dealing with his bullshit, that she suspects that it isn't completely over on MC's side, and that she needs to properly deal with/respond to that.

Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon is actually playing up the yuri elements, so I don't think people here need to worry too much

I think this makes a lot of sense. I don't see how any studio could screw this up tbh.
Tohru is obviously the main selling point of the series, and aside from the maid + badass dragon combination, her other most important character trait is that she's in love with Kobayashi-san. That's what makes her an attractive character too imo, and that's mostly what they can emphasise on to sell this character: her clumsily trying to be a maid (cute), her mentality and abilities as a dragon (op af) and her growing relationship with Kobayashi-san (sweet and moving).
Tohru's entire character is dependent on Kobayashi anyway. Tohru openly showing her love for Kobayashi-san through acts of service (literally becoming her maid lmao), jealousy, lust, being emotional over Kobayashi and adapting to the human world as her relationship with her develops is pretty much the 'plot'.
To kill the yuri/minimise Tohru's feelings/attraction to Kobayashi in the anime adaptation would be shooting themselves in the foot. Anyways, Kobayashi's own design is rather plain and androgynous (though I do like her), she's easily a self-insert. The yuri probs wouldn't step on anyone's toes, as she's generally so aloof to Tohru's advances. Whatever problems anyone has with how the yuri/Tohru's feels is written will have to be brought back to the original author.

I am really a bit confused over the story now. So the main character still has lingering feelings for her ex-boyfriend, which she doesnt consciously realise or is trying to suppress, and she dumped her boyfriend becaus,e she thought he cheated on her with this girl, except the girl actually likes her instead. But her first thought isnt oh shit i misunderstood poor ex-boyf, but dw im not getting back with him anyway? If this is the case, bit of a dick move on the main characters part

He did cheat on her, both girls realises that he was two-timing them, hence why theyre both pretty done with his shit/ignoring him atm
The last misunderstanding was about short-haired girl thinking mc was gonna continue going out with the guy, despite the cheating. It was about how both of them thought the other wanted to continue dating him, but in truth, mc was only trying to warn the other girl of the exbf, and the other girl was protesting/disapproving of her maintaining her relationship with that guy (blurting out her own feelings in the process).

It's interesting that the other girl looked pretty mischievous and pethaps cunning? But she's actually short tempered and transparent on some levels
