To tell you the truth, Yui7 is definitely in the top five when it comes to realistic sex scenes, y'know? It can be hard to describe such a feeling through art. And them chomps though....

That's always been her strong point. Her storytelling on the other hand...

I don't care if the male stays for all 5 volumes, this charming, beautiful, cliche of a yuri is just what I like.

Hard to call it cliche since a male is, indeed, present.

I get where the hate for that comes from, but it just seems so baseless. Like, if the story still ends up girl x girl, a good, real guy present makes it so much better. It makes it even more real. Everyone has their own preference, which I get, but I don't think it would be either incorrect or rude of me to call attention to the possibility of it being ill-conceived.

I'm pretty certain Ran really kissed Keiko. I means that trick is too obviously fake when you think about it, and Keiko already in too many relationship to know if a kiss is real or not.

Ran meanwhile probably never in one if based on the timing. And thought she can trick others with it. It obviously feel different

Basically sums it up. Kissing by lips feels far different than the touch of even wet fingers. Plus, the sound of the "smooch" will get to your ears more through your head than through the air. So I think Keiko knows but doesn't want to push this issue.

This chapter puts into color what we've been seeing this entire third volume: lots of romantic tension but not actual confirmed romance.

So they both love each other but Honoka never says it herself and they continue as they were.

Either they continue that way the rest of their life and eventually start "dating" and kissing when they're in like college or they move apart after high school.

The tl;dr of that is basically that the story has progressed considerably, there's just a lot of hidden plot Shou's gonna cash in on. Eventually.

I like the pace. It's mostly a day-in-the-life kinda story with a wham chapter of angst or drama here and there.

If you feel the story progressed too quickly, you have to remember: Nanami did not necessarily confess. She simply said it herself, "I think I might be falling for you".

We all have had those people we had that feeling for even only 3 days into knowing the person. It's also not really strange, because she finally met someone like Yuu who understood what it meant to not find someone special. And now Yuu just went through an intense moment and Nanami was the one who led her along by hand (almost literally). I'm glad she has the introspective capability to recognize that and address it.

I suspect this is just a dramatic cliffhanger to get people to keep reading. The next chapter will probably have Nanami clarifying that this is not a confession...yet.

Marriage in one municipality (which the country's government definitely does not like) is still a long way from adoption rights. There's still a long battle ahead, we may not even see the end in our lifetime.

I know a bit of law from my extended family...basically if you hire the right lawyer and play your cards right it is more than possible. Not guaranteed obviously by any means, but if Keiko adopts a kid and then just "happens to be in the same room as an old kouhai as she has for a while"...it wouldn't garner any legal action unless a very pissed-off and nosy douchenozzle whined a lot.

Of course, all speculation.

And I think it's a bit pessimistic to think that we won't see the end in our lifetime, if by end you mean "full LGBTQIA" rights and not "no more discrimination". I live in a part of the US that is 15 minutes outside of a country town that waves confederate flags...discrimination will always be around unfortunately. History has patterns and unless you plan on dying in the next 20 years (which is also pessimistic), it seems large actions in the right direction are in store for the first world.

From what I understand, Ran started drinking after her father died. That alone could be the reason. It might still have a huge effect on her. But I guess you can count the fact that she's a med student. That can be stressful too.

(Might I dare add that her unrequited love/crush on Keiko is eating at her as well).

^ Yeah Ran started her alcoholic tendencies after her dad died. But if I remember correctly, from that one glorious chapter where she got wasted and Keiko shot her like 10 texts and calls out of worry, she's been sober for a while.

Lately I think she likes to get drunk with Keiko...she doesn't really ever do it alone except for that one time when the bar threw a party for Keiko's ex. I think Ran thinks it's unrequited love, but up to this point it doesn't bother her more than simply being with Keiko makes her happy.

She is one to throw hints around deviously, so her asking Keiko to get wasted with her at that moment I suspect is a mini plea.

I know there used to be the whole "the gays r bad 4 chldrn" mentality right now but same-sex partnerships is legal in a municipality in Tokyo now.

@candy76041820 I dunno if I would call the anime a heresy. Fubuki being a dork about Akagi is just admiration. They haven't really paired her up with anyone yet. I think she's the %destroyer x Admiral pairing for the show quite frankly.

The whole deal with Keiko smiling at the end has so many layers each with different significance. As talked about, it involves Ran having nightmares about Keiko leaving her in a heterosexual relationship. But there's also the fact that Keiko smiled biggest during that scene with the kid. Which scares Ran because she feels as though she may not have been the highlight of the 'date'. But also because Ran could never provide that for Keiko: a kid. Biology works against her on this one.

But on the flip side, Keiko does not seem to be the person who would necessarily need the kid to be her own...she could adopt just any cute child and she'd be happy. And we have all the previous chapters emphasizing how much Keiko needs and cares for Ran, and how much she has had to realize it. So while there's angsty-fear in this chapter, it is coupled with the fact that when one thinks about the story as a whole, there's not much to be fearful of.

Um, if someone I was interested in told me they had been in love with their (now dead) sister, I'm not sure I would take it so well......but whatever makes her happy, I guess

By the way, while I would never fall for my sister, it wouldn't bother me if the one I was interested in was in love with her sister while that sister was alive.

Same boat. I just feel really bad for her since she never got the chance to express her feelings...but it's a difficult spot to be in because those feelings may only ever be a burden, and we don't know how the sister would have taken the surprise.
