I kinda gave up on the series proper when it became clear (to me at least) that the Lamia and the Male Protag would never actually become a couple (after reading a LOT of chapters). Plus the whole 'Monster Girl Harem' gimmick wasn't going anywhere because it's not a full-on H-Manga. And since it's a comedy, any characters getting into a relationship was also pretty unlikely, because it would go against the theme of the manga.

Nakazawa really carried this story

Lol. Yeah, Rikugo seems to like randomly inserting Nakazawa into their stories.

What I'm really curious about is that this isn't the first time I've seen some kind of gag "pairing" Nakazawa and Ms. Saotome together. One example I can think of is in the fan animation "Great Detective Homura-chan", where she's 'seducing' him in the background in one scene (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GBLUdFvF8Jw).

I also think the fact that they're blushing is making them look more intense... Plus, I mean, hghhh, body freckles!

Personally, I think the yuri genre needs more chill dudes like him, if only to offset the overrepresented macho-man-lesbian-hater stereotype. And anyone who thinks a het side couple can only harm a yuri narrative should look no further than Sunstone...

Preach it brother! I've always liked Mophead, since the beginning of the story, I got the impression that him and Sun Jing have been best friends for a while, and he's always been pretty cool.

It would actually be pretty interesting if Yuu's light-haired child was a son... You know, if only to mix things up XD.

Closed eyes are a pretty common trope in anime and manga. In this case, the downward closed (aka serene) eyes represent a gentle, relaxed personality. Sometimes it can also imply the person is a bit on the dim or clueless side, like Miyuki's mother in "Lucky Star", or (more obscurely) the Aunt in "Please Teacher".

Oh, and I also liked the parts with Mophead and that short girl with the bob-cut, I hope we see more of them together.

I like the fact that Kaede was unwilling to 'betray' her original plan by becoming a cheesecake model (aka, the "sexy rout" as she called it), even though so many of the characters keep drawing attention to her big(ger) breasts as a selling point (lol). I also enjoy the presentation that while she has genuine sex appeal, the character herself is more incline towards being cute.
