Honestly not a fan of the art style at all, but the story is surprisingly cute

Younger self has entered the stage, immediately detected mysterious onee-san competing for her crush. Curious to see how this will go, will the older MC actually compete with her younger self or will there be a strange selfcest-polyamory? That'd honestly be hilarious

It feels like there are pages missing, the end is very sudden

Awww, Tongtong is just too cute. And apparently she was actually fully gay all along, I always assumed she was bisexual :D

By the way, should I be concerned that I feel such intense pride of a fictional character figuring out their sexual orientation all by themselves in such a simple way? I think I've grown way too attached to this story

Yeah this isn’t really UP. It’s had convenient interruption prevents relationship progress stuff a bit too much, but otherwise their relationship feels gentle, fragile, and very beautiful. There’s a shitload of nerves on both sides, and Nekozaki’s confusing mix of responses makes sense to me.

Nekozaki is a pretty clear candidate for quadrant 4, in the bottom right.

This is a real good point, Nekozaki is quite obviously sending confusing signals to Mikoto when she's both making moves on her and then getting cold feet later. If we consider her as a person with fearful attachments, then this makes perfect sense. Also, judging from the hints dropped regarding her background, there might be solid reasons why she has developed such a social deficiency.

Overall, I very much like this development, maybe different from many readers here. It was definitely foreshadowed more than enough and makes complete sense for each character involved. Nekozaki's fear of attachment made her say something she immediately came to regret and for the story to continue, she will need to learn to deal with her emotional problems better. Mikoto is also right to be hurt, people like Nekozaki can be emotionally draining and are often the kind of people dragging you into emotionally abusive relationships, so growth will be necessary.
Having just started the series recently, I was surprised how serious it often becomes. I know Arata Iri mostly for whacky comedy (which I love), so seeing these different elements was interesting. Personally, I think she handled things well so far

I’m really enjoying the pacing. It’s not ‘one-shot’ levels of falling-in-love but also not so slowburn that you start to get bored.

I'm also enjoying the pacing in all honesty. The story so far feels very relaxed, and we're getting build up with the characters and their relationship bit by bit.

I feel like this sort of relaxed pacing is very much an Usio Shio thing, she really has a knack for creating these kind of stories that just flow in a slow but very natural and mature way. It's part of what makes them unique to me as well, there's no shortage of bubbly and energetic manga (which are cool too), but her stories are just a bit different, making them feel more life-like

Very interesting setup, it's just a one shot right now, but I would soo love for this to become a series eventually. Probably not gonna happen, but one can hope, right?

Interesting starter, cute art, excited to see where this will go. It's also nice to see an MC already established as lesbian instead of in the closet or in denial

Is it finally moving on to something not retarded?

This series has the habit of going batshit crazy, then suddenly calming down for a bit, only to return to batshit crazy 5 chapters later. It was a rollercoaster so far and will probably continue to be one

This entire debate about medieval vs renaissance, etc. doesn't really make sense anyway. Differences between time periods are fluid anyway and many things that we'd associate with post-medieval times aren't a thing in this fantasy world, e.g. there's no gunpowder. With magic, technology is quite different from the real world, so it's hard to compare.
Also, in the novel the MC often talks about how the world is weirdly like modern Japan due to being created by a Japanese developer. So overall, this world is very much supposed to be a generic fantasy setting, because that's literally what it was from the very beginning. Let's not forget this was an otome game...

What if Sara and Wakana are actually in the same place right now?
Sara obviously seems to have moved somewhere else without warning Wakana, and later Wakana sort of did the same thing. For the purpose of creating a fated reunion, wouldn't it fit perfectly if they'd moved to the same city without knowing? Different schools maybe, but still close enough to randomly meet

Chapter 11 did very little other than to set-up a cliff-hanger. There was not enough story for more than thirty pages.

Well, it's just following the novel exactly, this is just what happened in it.

This adaptation is doing surprisingly well to make things more interesting, even. Relaire might actually stick around and the announcers feel a lot more consistent with later arcs in the story. It's already starting to feel more cohesive

Very true, the manga sticks closely enough to the novel to not feel like anything is missing, but takes a few liberties here and there that actually make the entire thing flow better. Overall it feels a bit more comedic and Claire goes into dere-mode a lot more and earlier. I'm really curious to see how the manga will handle future parts of the story, particularly when it gets to the more serious bits.

Really not looking forward to the Manaria arc though, I hate that character so much

What a nice chapter! Subtle progress to embracing the Yuri was made and the wholesomeness of it all has me beaming like an idiot. Also that guy was cool, I initially expected him to be gay though :D

Since they made all characters open as hetero romances I would have wished that they'd at least be consequent and make everybody bisexual then, feels a bit odd that all girls are okay with a man but only very few are okay with a woman

Their faces look really strange to me, particularly in contrast with everything else being quite well-drawn

To make a wild guess, this series is probably going to go to a point where blackmailing girl breaks down because she can't become #1 and will therefore lose her scholarship. That breakdown will then lead student council girl to soften her cold and harsh persona somewhat and do something something heroic, causing blackmailing girl to hopelessly fall in love with her. From that point onewards, commence ye olde trope of girl chasing cold, harsh, superhuman love interest who, despite being a dick to most people, somehow has a good heart that only the protagonist can bring out.

10/10, original story line, literally never seen before in a billion cheap hetero romance novels.
(obviously exaggerating here, this story might very well surprise and actually be good, just feels like this right now)

^K/DA is classified as an alternate universe, so technically Ahri x Sona in the "main" universe needn't be mutually exclusive with any kind of pairing she has in the K/DA universe

Imagine buying a body pillow when you have a perfectly huggable girl around you all day anyway...

If it ever gets to Yuri it is going to be the slowest of slow burns, but it's a cute story so it will be fine either way

Love that these two are canon now. What I really hate about League lore though is that story lines like these will most likely never get resolved. Like, I'm dying to see how their story continues after they got their respective powers, but since that might change stuff in-game it will probably never happen

How come that story is not linked anywhere on the Leona or Diana bios? I always loved Diana x Leona and the lore around LoL in general (though my knowledge is mostly from back in the days when it was still completely different)

Is there an equivalent term to useless lesbian that describes friends who continue to be oblivious to a lesbian couple's increasingly obvious flirting? If not, I feel there needs to be one
