After some feedback, I dropped the "this" and replaced "ya're" by "yer".

I think the rest of the "ya"s is enough to get the point of the thick dialect across.

T/N: sorry for the "ya" everywhere, but both Matsuba-chan and Miyako are speaking a heavy Kansai dialect and that's the way I found to somewhat render it. Without it, you'd lose some of the flavor of the manga.

I am from rural Alaska, and what sent chills up MY spine was her running on a mountainside. We've all done it, but it's a really, really bad idea.

What's a bit lost in translation is that what she calls a "mountain rush" (山駆け) actually refers to an ascetic practice by Yamabushi monks.

The typical ascetic practice of Yamabushi is mountain running, which involves walking for several days through steep mountain paths while reciting sutras.

In the old days, the training was so severe that dropping out of the training meant death.

It doesn't mean she's running all the way up the mountain. She's just climbing (walking up) the mountain twice a day, which is already impressive.

That was the cultural note of the day.

I'm curious as to what japanese word gets translated as totes all the times, it's not すげー right?

It's めっちゃ (metcha).

It means extremely/very/totally and is in use among youths, first from Kansai, then it spread in the rest of Japan.

Totally => totes.

It's a marker of youth slang, like やべー / やばい

So the original term actually has the snarky connotation of transgression that Hatomori was going for, but I doubt if one English speaker in ten would get that.

Yeah. Most English natives I talked to didn't even know that word and were associating it with concubines and harem.

So I guessed it would be better to change it.

In French, it's actually a very commonly known legal term for "two people living together without being married" and it entails some things about taxes. There's no "harem" connotation, just a couple sharing a roof.

I thought it fitted the situation. But I didn't expect it was a term in disuse in English. I got caught back by my native language.

I made a couple changes, notably on page 17 and 19, so the implied meanings would be clearer, I hope.

Mangadex has this as completed because the itself series is completed, not the scanalation.

There was an error on MD when the series was added, setting the total number of chapters at 3.

Because of that, chapter 3 is marked a "END".

I reported the series and asked for a change.

Ch1: Ruriko
Ch2: Nacchan
Ch2: Kyouko

I guess that in the next chapters, it'll all blend together.

Mangadex has this as Completed.

And Mangadex is wrong.

I have two more chapters on my todo list.

It ends at 5 though.

I love Battan's style and I was sad that this series was stalled for 6 months (even though it's been over for a while). I contacted Stan (Cyan Steam) about it. He gave me the raws and free rein to do it if I wanted to, so this is technically not a snipe.

I translated and typesetted everything myself.

I'll do the remaining two chapters eventually.

This bonus chapter made me realize, the author's probably not just scribbling gibberish for the angelic texts. Does anyone know what they're using?

The "angelic" text is romanized Japanese (Japanese written with Latin characters), where the letters have been cut in the middle and mirrored.

Exemple in this chapter:

HA?
OMAEMADA
IENIINNOKA?

(Huh? You're still home?)

I didn't go through the troubles of translating these bits, because I think even Japanese readers don't read these either (except maybe some hardcore fans).

The title is in fact in two part, as you noticed. (AoHada Kyonyuu) and (Kuso Bocchi). Each part defines the "pairing".

But it doesn't fly right in English.

As if on cue, MD just allowed creation of new series today.

So I uploaded this one under the romanization of the title, with "Blue Skin..." as an alternate.

I was thinking about renaming the series to a romanization of the title, Ao Hada Kyonyuu to Kuso Bocchi, because I see lots of people, at each chapter release, complaining about how this would be more popular if the title wasn't mentioning tits (even though the title means what I translated it to).

Thoughts?

This week's chapter is half a chapter (6 pages) with a cliffhanger, the latter part being due next week, on October 8. I think they did that because Vol1 comes out on October 6 and they don't want to spoil the end of the volume before it's even out.

I already translated that first part, but I'll wait for the 2nd part to release it, so we will have a full chapter.

A quick translation. I can't say it's perfect, but it's a lot closer from the original, imo:

I looked up the original because I was confused: this translation is all kind of wrongs.

The girl MC is a teacher (they call her "sensei" on the first bubble, but somehow, it's not mentioned here).

On page 2, it's starting a flashback : the boy is in primary school.

The one who got mad was the MC's mother, when THE MC introduced her lover to her own parents.

Implying it was probably a girl even then!

It's never mentioned she ever was with a guy, so the bisexual tags stems from a bad translation.

The boy was just in an unrequited love from the start... no het here.

Blegh.

Next chapter comes out on 09/17.

Is there any reason why a solid chunk of the series is just straight up missing..

I'll continue to redo the missing chapters (once I'll have caught up with Blue Skin raws).

I added to each chapter the "twitter extras" the author puts out when a chapter comes out. They are cute illustrations, so I thought it was worth it. Check them out.

Also, with next chapter (13), which I should be able to do next week, I'll have caught up with the raws, so the releases will slow down.

Isn't decapitating punishment because sneaking into heaven is a difficult thing to do? How does "capital punishment because it's something easy" make sense?
... on the other hand, just because it's difficult doesn't make it a more heinous crime either, I guess ^^;

I had my doubts too, when translating, but her sentence says exactly that:
