yup that could work. there was a teacher over here in the states that went to prison for having an illicit relationship with one of her students. turns out that after she was released, they got married IIRC. while on one hand, you are not suppose to do things like that, it can sometimes bear really interesting fruit (in the above case true love?)

not really. if Yamada-san is super innocent, she's still thinking like a self-conscious teen, and not yet as someone in a physical relationship. that said, imo she still needs to "grow up", but that is a different discussion. now Kase-san has "seen" more adult-like situations, so it is kind of refreshing, if not sometimes irritating, to see the super sweet and innocent Yamada completely clueless about certain adult situations like the love motel panel or seeing Kase-san's naked breast. on one hand, i want to see her act more aggressive and initiate actions like kissing Kase-san, but on the other hand, it is still nice to have this quasi-angsty pull between the timid Yamada and the more aggressive Kase. this is solely my opinion, but right now there is a good ebb and flow with the story. Yamada is not being pulled into the adult world too fast, and Kase-san is being made to stay in the world of a teenager that much longer. but again, that is imho.

Really now. For Jin's standards, this was disappointing. I've never been too much of a fangirl of her art, but her storytelling is usually always pretty great stuff. But this...* shrugs * Oh well. I guess everyone messes up sometimes.

messes up? i'd hardly say that. besides, one of her other stories will be released soon enough, and we'll all most likely be raving about how wonderful it is and this little pup will be lost to the winds (meaning no one will remember it or why they disagreeded with it).

ok, so it's boilerplate. i'm not making any excuses for Takamiya-sensei, but it does make me wonder how many stories a year these mangaka release, and of that number, how many fall into the boilerplate category (by that i mean, simplistic story written to fill a contractual obligation to a publication)? I am guessing a larger number than expected is boilerplate. but then again, maybe this is just the story she felt like releasing, and it just happens to be
boilerplate/boring/<add_your_favorite_adjective_describing_blah-ness>. who knows.

I actually enjoyed the way Prism ended. I thought the last chapter served as the perfect ending.

while the "ending" is sufficient, the story could easily continue, hence my rant about resumng the story. actually, Prism reminds me of a story i read when i was a teenager called "Annie On My Mind." i think on a subconcious level, i want/wanted to see if Prism followed a similar path to the book minus all the miserably sad parts. oh well, ya can't blame a girl for askng even if it is an utterly lost cause. :-)

very interesting. i once asked if there were a power more domineering and powerful than Yurika. let's change that to what happens when polar opposites meet? true magnetism or cataclysmic destruction? (since our heroine is Yurika, it's obviously her :-) ). So the next question after that is how many chapters until resolution of this sub-plot? Will it be one chapter or two?

okie, all bitchiness aside, i kinda like the hidden room under the stairs approach. it kind of goes with the supernatural-wannabe theme 'i think' this story wants to take. also, after the page, i was hoping (speculating) that it would have a door that either led to the auditorium or the piano could be heard from the stage so she coud play without being in front if everyone. oh well, hopefully the next chapter will answer the questions above.

Ran "should" cook, but I could easily see Keiko cooking as a "nice" gesture while Ran gives her senpai chocolate because she wanted chocolate. of course this is all in my mind and is kind of a role reversal from what I think everyone wearing their Yuri goggles would expect. but me thinks if he (Shou-san) is going into yuri-mode it will either be valentine's day, white day or maybe both.
