Understandable, but disappointing. I quite liked this, and I'd like to read whatever other work this author has in store, but if they oppose one of the few methods us English speakers have of experiencing their work, there's not much to be done. I'd buy this if it were available in English in an official capacity, but I'm not holding my breath.

This manga reminds me of a scene in The Simpsons where Bart writers something on the back of Homer's head, and Homer tries desperately to read the back of his head. For a little bit the family laughs at this, but then as he keeps scrambling trying to look, they pointedly stop laughing and look at each other in worry.

After a certain point, Chiaki-san's monomania stops being cute and becomes off-putting.

Damn, you hit the nail on the head. I was definitely in the boat of "what's wrong with this, it's just a silly gag manga" at the beginning, but now I just feel bad.

It's obviously just Harumi downplaying her feeling of jealousy as something stupid because she doesn't want to admit she has feelings for Chiaki yet. This is Romance 101.

I'll echo what other people have said and say that I interpreted the whole "maidens" thing as a representation of that whole "senpai-kouhai" relationship that is very intimate but not necessarily romantic and fades after school is over, like Class S, you know what I'm talking about. What I think Kagami is saying is basically "I don't care about that shit, I'm just genuinely gay for you".

Speaking of which, I think it's kinda interesting that Kagami is the overtly gay one. While I think she's abusing the power dynamic between them a bit too much to get alone time with Indou for her ulterior motives, I can kinda excuse it since she's basically still a kid and all. I'd like more insight on her character and her feelings before I pass judgement on her.

Ootomo Megane's works always give me a headache trying to figure them out. I feel like I kinda get this one, which is better than I usually do. I gotta analyze 'em like the Zapruder film before I get anywhere.

Kanbayashi Makoto has many NozoNico stories that I find wonderful.
It would be great if they were all translated.
The last one that got translated ended with just friendship but the later untranslated chapters have them turn become lovers.

Kanbayashi Makoto's Chinatsu/Akari story is one of my single favorite doujins ever, so I have no doubt that their work will really impress me. I'm just waiting for it to be in a language I can understand.

Maybe I just need to write my own NozoNico story.

I feel like every time I enter this thread, there's some new comment about how people who don't want them to break up are FAKE FANS who can't appreciate REALISTIC WRITING. I'm glad this series is bring something new to the table, but at the same time, I think it's perfectly reasonable for people to want them to stay together (even though that's not gonna happen). It's always a little sad when things don't work out, even when the break up is amicable, and it's doubly so here where you have two characters that you're invested in that have a good dynamic with each other. The problems in their relationship weren't too widely exposited on in the one-shots outside of "they just didn't really go well together", so I'm sure public opinion will shift a bit when the series goes more in-depth about their incompatibilities.

Basically, I think we all should just enjoy this thing instead of drawing lines in the sand about who is and is not enjoying it correctly.

Now that's a rarepair.

Like, if you removed the "yuri" part from the first box and flipped the roles (harem protag can't get feelings across to supportive best friend), this would be the exact plot of my game. What a crazy coincidence.
