Just finished replaying Fate/Extra on my vita in preparation for Extella, and oh wow, I forgot how gay this game got thanks to the exact same writing for both female and male protagonist. I love how it's impossible for the female protagonist to be straight because of that and how every npc in-game either assumes you're a guy or a lesbian with their dialogue. It's also pretty convenient that all female characters in-game that develops feelings for the protagonist are canonically bisexual.

Just to clear things up, tvtropes does state that Artoria Pendragon is bisexual from various scenarios that happen in-universe. (Unfortunately these scenarios are pretty much porn though). Not that it makes her stand out; there's more bisexual female characters in Nasu's works than there are straight ones.

  1. The answer here is detailed in this page: http://dynasty-scans.com/forum/topics/5657-forum-post-formatting-basic-markdown-tutorial

  2. There's the "Lists" at the top of the page beside "Images". If I recall correctly, the "Favorites" list is already there by default. You can use that to list down all your favorites by clicking the button next to your username on the upper right of the page whenever you read a particular manga, or when you want to favorite the entire series itself:

  3. Sorry, I don't think a "Like" system exists here.

  4. I'm not sure what this means. If you want to quote another comment, there's the "Quote" hyperlink in the upper right of a particular comment.

It was recently announced that Nights of Azure and Atelier Sophie are also coming to PC. Fingers crossed that they're both working at 60 fps.

Ugh, my third attempt to finish the Kara No Kyoukai series and I still failed. First attempt lasted until the 3rd movie, second attempt lasted up to the 4th movie, and now it only lasted until the 6th one. I don't hate any of the characters in the movie series neither do I hate the story; I just can't bring myself to care about any of them and I don't know why. There's no emotional investment on my part towards any of the events in the series.

TIL that forcing myself through something I don't necessary like or dislike is more miserable than watching something trashy. At least with trash I can laugh at it from time to time. Now that it made me feel this bad I'm beginning to actually hate this series as a result.

I don't think it was missing anything actually. The moment she said "I'll keep telling you I love you until you believe me" it was already a matter of time. A more official scene of them getting together would have been superfluous.

Yep, to each their own. That line didn't spell a surefire way of them becoming a couple for me, plus it's not so much as them becoming a couple as to how it all went down when they confronted each other and as a result decided to be a couple.

That's not what I meant at all; I was most likely unclear. What I meant was the part where they show them becoming a couple; the situation I gave was a step towards that part. There was no need for a complete character change nor was there any need of a complete resolution to it all since that would be really unnatural because of the reasons you already pointed out. There's just that part where they show them actually becoming a couple that I feel like it's missing.

Man, this was beautiful. I can't help but think that all of you folks who are confused by it just haven't had the experience of loving someone who feels like they don't deserve love or happiness for whatever reasons they may have.

It's really less confused but more on feeling that they skipped some rather important scene. Your summary shows this too - I don't see the part where they actually talk about her feeling that she's unlovable and work all of that out; it just opted to skip the entire thing and show them as a couple. Not bad in any stretch of the imagination, it just made it feel incomplete. Unless the lack of such a scene means there wasn't one to begin with and that they just had this silent sort of understanding not to talk about it, which still makes it feel incomplete.

Wat. They just skipped over the part where they resolve whatever angst they were having and moved on to when they're already a couple.

Yeah...you need to know how the "gameplay" works in Fate/GO to understand this one. A quick way to understand this is that Jeanne Alter (black clothed one) doesn't think Jeanne is powerful enough to be her ally in the party and wants her to at least have the attribute of "dragon", and so Jeanne wears that dragon kigurumi.

I'm here! It's Jeanne Alter (The one with a black color scheme) and the normal Jeanne (lighter/no color). So it's Jeanne Alter x Jeanne or Avenger x Ruler.

I just typed "lizard" in the Dynasty search bar.

Truly the person who does the tags knows what's really important.

I like how the other 2 couples are fuckin making out while Mei and zarya are like playing or holding hands lol.

Which is arguably lewder, especially with the whole 'placing her legs on her lap' to top it off.

Didn't get to finish Atelier Sophie since I got busy while I was playing it, but Sophie and Plachta can have moments (YMMV). It also helps that the limited edition art of Atelier Sophie is an exact mirror of the Nights of Azure one, with Arnice and Lilysse being a direct parallel to Sophie and Plachta.

It has an all-ages version too I believe, so you don't have to consider those unsavory scenes to be canon or relevant in any way.

I also must add that while there's plenty of special effects and good art (minus the questionable proportions for female characters) in this visual novel, their 3D models are pretty awful. Plus points for effort though.

With how people were saying last time how the "next chapter had drama and angst" I thought there was going to be more. That was pretty tame and expected.

Nitroplus Blasterz: Heroines Infinite Duel is a 2D fighting game out now on steam if anyone cares. It has a lesbian playable character from one of Nitroplus' visual novels "Tokyo Necro" who is actually one of the two protagonists of that game.

What the hell. This post just made me realize I've apparently been here two years already. What the hell, it doesn't feel like that long yet...

2016 definitely felt long though; I feel tired.

The pic isn't even from Fate/Extra; it's for the upcoming Fate/Extella. Yuja drew it because it already came out in Japan. She also drew Hakuno x Altera from that game.

Some of these comments are hilarious. Best way to start the day.

Edit: I also think this manga is the most uplifting one in the anthology; it has a nice and sweet ending.

Whoops, I completely misconstrued your comment then, my bad; my comment was under the assumption that it is queerbait.

Of course this is all just my opinion as a queer woman because I don't like queerbait in general.

As an aside, isn't queerbaiting just objectively bad in all angles no matter how you look at it? How can someone actually "like" or be fine with queerbaiting? it's similar to saying "I personally just don't like deus ex machinas in stories", but obviously queerbaiting has a deeper impact on the viewers so it's worse.

^ I don't watch the show so I definitely can't give a proper answer, but I personally would rather have nothing than be given queerbait (if that was what the question was asking). I'm not saying the show is queerbait (I don't watch it so I can't comment whatsoever about it), but hypothetically speaking, if it was, I would've preferred that they remain loyal to the source material in the first place if that's the end goal anyway. The fact that the studio is responsible for this couple existing to begin with doesn't give them the free pass to just do whatever with them especially since how much adaptations differ from the source material has always been up to the people doing the adaptation; no one told them to make it gayer then suddenly complained that it's not progressing how they wanted. That they even created this couple with their own volition means that they're "responsible" (for the lack of a more fitting word) for it and however it impacts the audience.

I just don't want these people to end up being disappointed in the end just because the studio decided to make a particular pair gayer only to not see it through. I don't mean a yuri end by "see it through", but just to simply have one that reflects the fact that the adaptation is gayer than the source material; even I as someone from the outside looking in can see that.

So I apparently was playing Dishonored 2 on a handicap the entire time. I only just now learned that being unable to 'hold' the far reach ability was a bug of sorts on my end. That inability made stealth much more of a pain since I can't plan out where to blink. Oh well. At least there's sort of a reason to replay this game again.

Most official artwork that pertains to the Fate/Extra games are depicting this pairing anyway. Heck, even the official poster for the game released during the anniversary two years ago used this couple.

This is my favorite pairing in the Fate franchise as well.
