Me during the first half: Well, that's one way to jam all of your fetishes into one.

Me during the second half: Oh... Didn't account for a yandere.

I like the idea that she killed off the others. It doesn't feel that dark because it's a personality that was manifested. But, going after the original well... That's pretty dark. I like this art style but it's too intense all the time for me. Like it's really forcing the Yandere trope.

Some authors should hire some writing help. This development is beyond moronic.

Should have probably just been a cute love story about an OL and the stray she picked up (or forced herself on) like it was after the first chapter. Good thing this part only lasts for 4 chapters.

On the other hand it makes it stand out a bit instead of being the same old song and dance so it evens out i geuss.

Indeed. Nothing wrong with drama. Juxtaposing it with fluff makes it kind of interesting if only it were executed well.

This tension doesn't really feel earned. It just seems like it was thrown in there on a whim and it's also ending on a whim. Not like I want this to drag out but it didn't have the emotional impact a backstory of those extremes should have.

I'm starting to think "Diabetes" should be a tag. I'd love to read the heck out of that tag.

Gosh darn this is adorbs. But it's also the kind of adorbs where I'm just not expecting anything story-wise.

Ahahahaha I think this discussion is the prime example of subtext. I can't stop reading the comments with a knowing grin. XD

Yeah, I’m kind of getting addicted to the yuri/subtext tagging wars—between this, Futaribeya, and, in a different way, Living With My Brother’s Wife, it’s like Dynasty’s hottest (and, usually unintentionally, funniest) new genre.

Don't forget hand holding! That's the lewdest thing in the world. (Foot tapping too)

See, if this was a girlxboy romance, it'd be easier to say it's past subtext. That doesn't necessarily mean their relationship is not as potent. It's just that there's a natural immediate tension that's a lot easier to pinpoint between a guy and a girl when they're alone together. This is also how Mophead put it in Their Story. Not to say there's no tension between them, it's just that since homosexuality has been shunned for years in the past, our natural instinct is to perceive that tension as friendship when it's between two girls or between two boys. This also means the alter for girlxboy relationships is possible. There may be some form of sexual tension at the start but it settles down and turns into friendship.

The tension between these two though has only been building up. Because of that, I think it's fair to conclude that this is more likely to end in more than just friendship... Unless there's an event that causes that tension to fall flat.

Hahahahah This made me think of a random shitposty thought. So if the censorship is to protect children's exposure, haven't they thought that maybe this is the solution to China's overpopulation!? Really just a shitpost. I know some gay couples want to have children too.

I like this chap and somehow I also don't feel quite right by the end of it. I guess it's probably because even until now, I'm still looking for confirmation that they're going out. Like the scene when QT says they are. What I mean is, this chapter screams they're already going out. The previous chapters seem to say so too. This chap is just more blunt about it. So little old me was looking forward to the chap when they're official and welp, oh.. so they really are already going out. I wanted to see it!! And the only reason I desired a scene like that is because there was a chap where QT said something like, "Wait a moment. Since when did we start dating?" So because of that, I felt off coz there wasn't consent from QT and personally, consent is a big deal for me. If QT didn't say that and these chaps just came, the natural conclusion is that they are indeed dating and I wouldn't have this desire for a confirmation scene.

I say that but I'm still very happy with them just being cute. XD

Also, based on personal experience, it is still possible that this is that period when you're all flirty but are still not really official phase. But everyone seems (even me)to think that they're already official.

I feel so immoral reading this. I've read a lot of things. I've played the crappiest visual novels so a lot of them were really immoral. And yet, this is the time when I actually feel guilty. But of course, I like it enough to read til the end! I like it enough to want to subscribe but feel guilty at the thought. I didn't know I was this tsundere.

There are scenes when I just get embarassed for the cast and feel immoral for them. I have no inhibitions about doing certain "immoral" things but this has got me blushing and confused.

I'm pretty sure Emi is "aware" of her feelings or rather, she was aware of it. See, at the very start of the manga she said something like, "It started back then. And it ended back then too."

If it's just the possessiveness, obviously it hasn't ended. But, I'm thinking she realized her feelings for Yuu before or at the time Yuu asked her if she liked anyone. But then Yuu obviously didn't reciprocate. She realized that Yuu wasn't even in the same playing field since she's straight(for now of course wink wink). And that's why she said it ended back then. I think that's a pretty normal reaction to finding out a girl you have a crush on doesn't seem to hint at being gay at all.

Anyway, what she doesn't realize is while she's acknowledged that her romantic affection for Yuu has "ended" and has nowhere to go, the feelings have actually festered and became the possessiveness she has right now. And that's pretty much why she's batshit crazy already. Her feelings have been categorized in her head as "being the person around Yuu because I value her more than anyone else" which is why she gets rid of anyone else.

In chapter 2, I was pretty surprised. My first reactions were, "Oh no, she knows. She knows! Uh oh. I kinda like that she knows." I just hope she doesn't make this NTR just because she knows. XD

It's pretty creepy but I like how Emi savagely says, "Don't fall in love. You're terrible at it." so even if Yuu knows, the fact that Emi is able to say things like this means she's also aware that Yuu knows how she feels. In retrospect, this is very sad and just screams future NTR. I'm sad now. But I like it!

Is it weird that I'm drooling from reading this?

I'm lying sideways in bed and I haven't been able to stop grinning. I can't help but drool! Ahahha I know.. gross. But this is too cute!
