People who would go out of their way to assume other people's taste relates to their irl is a sight of saddening. "Cheating" tag is a form of drama, and lo and behold, most people enjoy dramas on various genres. So what's the point of moral correction here?

Literally no one in at least the last four pages has said anything of the sort for either of these things. The closest we get is people arguing over the definition of cheating and whether this is cheating, and the person who said "gay makes it okay" is a bad way of thinking, which is an entirely different topic.

Honestly, the whole "wow this comment section condones cheating!!" statements and implications are getting kind of stale, if not outright annoying. I don't really get how hard it is to understand that it makes for a more interesting story and juicy drama, but it's still just a story. It's kind of insulting to insinuate that just because someone finds the drama created by cheating as interesting or engaging story-wise that they condone the acts in real life. The hell's up with that.

It's really not that common. Hell, as you can see from the following quote, it's so uncommon, this johnb had to walk back a comment about how people do this.

Edit: Uh looking back over the coment, people aren't cheater hating like I expected. Must be because it was kind of obvious it was coming and the haters jumped ship. Oh well, I still stand by what I wrote.

Are there some? Sure. But there's far more people complaining about people like that than there are people like that. And I'd really like it to stop. It derails conversation so hard for a manga that is quite good and shouldn't be mired in controversy that is only barely there. And not just for cheating, but for anything that's considered bad to do. Cheating, noncon, loli stuff.

I actually have weird experience with this, being poly. My first poly relationship, I was dating someone, and someone else was coming onto me. She was actually a celebrity who me and my partner both loved a lot, and I immediately told my partner and she was like "uh, hell yea? GO FOR IT? YES?" and we just... opened our relationship and I realized that's kinda just what I preferred lol

I think my favorite thing about this is seeing them come of age in a really nice way. Like, it doesn't feel rushed. It really has been like three years in story. And I know there's a lot more to translate so I'm super excited to see them grow up even more through college and stuff.

It's actually not bad theory, but how do you explain grin at the end of last chapter? Unless it was just her being happy about making progress with Hinako, but author wants to keep misleading us, hence her partially showing her true form and looking scary?

Yeah, this author LOVES keeping us on our toes about everyone's intentions. She's pretty... creepy, just intentionally, so if she WAS happy, and they just showed us her true form for a second to throw us off the trail, that'd fit very well.

"I want to kill you" usually is a poor ruse for getting close to people...

To be fair, when the person in question is full on "I have a suicidal death wish" it might not be the worst idea to be "I'm going to be the one that kills you, but not yet, only when I've decided you're worth killing." Gives them a reason to let you stick around.

This. Here's my thoughts:

Shiori doesn't actually want to kill and eat Hinako. Maybe she saw the tragedy, wants to help, fell in love with the sad nearly dead girl, I dunno who knows. What matters if she wants to keep Hinako alive. And since Hinako wants to DIE, and she's a monster, she played up to her monster strengths and abilities. Hinako is less likely to just kill herself since she learned this is going to happen. This gives Shiori time to try and make her happy, with the excuse "that will make me want to eat you". Once she's happier, mission complete.

As for the argument "but she tried to kill her best friend", Shiori has been killing every monster that gets near Hinako, and she thought that Miko was going to kill her. WE thought Miko was going to kill her. There was a bunch of freaking people in this comments section that went "oh shit is Miko actually a bad guy and she's going to do a murder?" And I think Shiori is a bit less trusting than we would be, so of course she wouldn't trust Miko.

Like I know the general energy of this thread is "Miko is best girl and should get together with Hinako", cause people like the childhood friend angle, but try not to like, crucify me for offering another angle. Like I said it's almost certainly wishful thinking, but it could go this way. It COULD.
