Well, I'm just reading both and get to enjoy each chapter at least twice that way. Whether you want to go for maximum impact by sticking to the one highest quality source and savoring the singular experience or have "double the fun" is up to you.
Yuri Ichigo, Stan/Runrin, Stan/Chads and Cuetie were/are all a slight cut above the one by xKs on Mangadex, but it's not like that means it's bad by any stretch.

Agree wholeheartedly, although I personally am not going to do any specific discussion of MD-only chapters (sorry, Zormau-san) before they appear here.

Well at the current rate Dynasty should be caught up soon enough, it's not like we're gonna have to wait ages until then. And we get to read another great translation as it releases.

Like, seriously, where do we go from here? Do we just end it with a short wrap up and maybe a time skip? Seems a weird choice, just after setting up a side-ship with Omichii and Rin and only relatively shortly after going weekly. Are they in a hurry to free up the release slot? Do we explore all the new and fun ways in which Hino can now tease Koguma for another 70 chapters? (Yes, please!)

Why would that be taking the L? Because it would forever eliminate the possibility for the other person to be the one who realize it. And thus no closure to it.

I'm sure it helps that Akari is probably acting nothing like she did back then, totally jogging Hina's memory in all the right ways.

It's funny, I feel like I should be happy that I more or less called it, but it was also so damn obvious that it was going to end with Koguma kissing Hino that it feels like calling every space at a roulette table.

Yes, it was absolutely amazing, but now what? There should be an aftermath, but after that last "DUMMY!" I'm pretty sure the next chapter will start in their corner of the school yard again, with those events only slowly being processed in their inner monologue while dealing with "current shenanigans", as it has largely been done for the previous 127 chapters. Come to think of it, that could be seen as one of the major strong suits of the series...

from my understanding, a fetish is essentially something one finds pleasurable (sexual or not) that does not involve the parts of the body designed for sexual pleasure. so for example, "bullying" could be considered a fetish. does bullying someone (psychological or physically) have anything to do with sex? no. in spite of this fact, people still find it pleasurable to be degraded.

that's my definition I'm operating under, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong there. and if i am incorrect, please give me the word that describes my definition so i know in the future what term to use.

There's an older definition, which I'm not really a big fan of either, that denotes that the term "fetish" strictly speaking applies to elements outside the norm that are both used and required for achieving sexual pleasure/gratification. I.e. they're kind of pathological, while IIRC the term for elements outside the norm that are merely used to derive pleasure from, but not required, would be referred to as "kinks". I think it's fair to use the terms interchangeably, as they commonly are colloquially anyway, and I think that's what you were getting at.

I'm also a bit bothered by the word "bullying", because what we have here is people mildly, gently and lovingly teasing each other, while "bullying" aims to destroy a person. (The first chapter or two of Nagatoro-san kind of seemed like they might fall into "bullying", but that cleared up and mellowed out rather quickly).

I mean, there are instances of groping in this series. These vary from "honest" to "hilarious", sometimes within the same scene. I don't think there's a single instance where it's anywhere near "gratuitous".

Please tell me we still have plenty of chapters to go. They're really quite soothing.

Sigh... Omichi being all badum around the little girl is uncomfortable. The little girl having a crush on Hino isn't a problem but like, why do we need this side plot? I'm used to lolis in manga by now but seriously if they weren't there my life would be so much better. Same goes for weird sexist tropes in shoujo manga.

What exactly is the problem? Omichi and Rin aren’t dating. They aren’t having sex. They aren’t a couple. The younger girl’s intelligence and emotional bravery makes Omichi’s heart go doki-doki, and she told her so, full stop. As I’ve said, the chances of things going any further between the two are practically nil.

And why do any stories ever “need” side plots? Usually, to mark time with low-stakes conflicts that reflect back on the MCs situation just like this one does. (Koguma having to consider Hino kissing someone else is an entirely new development.)

It's not about keeping the project, it's about how you approach it and collaborate. As I said, I have no problem with stepping down. I also would have liked to upload the chapters very quickly but sometimes there's life. It's about how you do it and how you communicate with the other scanlators

Sure, you should always expect that much as common courtesy and it's a real shame if that gets omitted. I lack the scanlation-insider perspective to gauge how easy it would have been for them to assess the current TL status and make contact with you and Stan. Since I don't have that perspective, my rationalization would be that they went only by the status on Mangadex, which was "usurped my MTL, last Cyan Steam chapter 6 months ago". Doesn't make it right, but might just help understand why it went wrong.

Ok, what's with the "Parody" tag? Is it something in the show I haven't watched yet or is there some other material/meme I'm unaware of?
