duh, Yuzu IS a teenager, and she IS in love. kinda hard to stop being what you are. as for Mei, I always think a big fat ol' joint might her loosen her up, but do note... i am not advocating minors using marijuana or anything of that nature. OR... it might be nice to read an extra where just the two of them go to an amusement park or a water park or some place where Mei can relax and try to be a teenager herself. i think she'd probably feel awkward at first, but i'd be interesting to see how she reacts in an engaging environment where she is just a nobody like everyone else.

Yes, it's kinda hard to tell what's going on...but we can hope for freaking Yuzu to stand her ground and silly ass Mei to finally give in to Yuzu's love haha,and for the love of gods, they oughta make looove soon xD

Nooooooo! i want this tortuous romance to play out until the bitter end. then if Saburouta-san wants to throw in a make out/sex scene, leave it until the end of the story and then cut it short so it's left to the imagination of the reader. OK, OK, i'm being a bit of a masocist here, but i'd like for Citrus to show a modicum of tact and taste for that part of the story instead of taking the "wham, bam' thank you ma'am" approach.

I'm not putting too much hope in Mei refusing either but I hope she at least struggles a little before agreeing. Don't think Yuzu is gonna cry though, at least from like a logic standpoint. She knows Mei has a girlfriend and she knows how easily Mei kisses people. She took a whole chapter to prepare herself so I think it's still gonna hurt her to see Mei kiss someone other than her but she should be able to stomach it. But Citrus being Citrus that might still be a possibility. Truth be told, if Yuzu crying leads to Mei coming after her for once, then I'm all for it.

like i said earlier, we're being cliffhanger'd.

i think this was thrown out earlier as a possible scenario, but i don't think Mei's going to do much with Sara (the short twin right?), because I think Mei just told Yuzu that she accepted Sara's feelings to let Yuzu down gently. i say this because the last few pages of the raw looks like a setup for one grand misunderstanding between Mei-Yuzu-Sara. for example, in the bath scene, Sara and Yuzu and still talking as if they are cheering the other on for support withYuzu giving Sara a pep talk on confessing and Sara cheering Yuzu on about her person. at this point, neither realizes they each are talking about Mei. Now the big twin and Mei realizes what's up, but it hasn't spilt over to Yuzu/Sara. next, remember that Sara was too chicken to confess to Mei initially and in that 2nd to last page of the raw, Sara has Mei's wallet (or so it appears). i think she's going to try to confess to Mei. also notice that Sara looks scared out of her mind. this is why i think she's going to confess. finally, the big twin says something to Yuzu. this is the setup to the "angsty moment/trap" i describe next. angsty moment: all said, i think 1 of 2 things will happen: 1) Mei turns Sara down; Yuzu runs into the room; Mei uses this opportunity to kiss Sara or do something equally vague to make Yuzu think their relationship is legit, or 2) Yuzu runs into the room as Sara confesses; there's a long uneasy pause of silence where Yuzu realizes it's her new friend Sara that is now "dating" Mei. either way, we're left with an angsty cliffhanger that is a big ball of misunderstanding until volume 3 comes out.

sorry, this was probably longer than it needed to be and may amount to nothing more than me talking out of my southern end, cuz we won't know what really is said until the raws are translated and released.

Stay away, it'll only be far more frustrating in the wait for the scanlation. Though I did find that 2-photo cosplay of Yuzu and Mei which was pretty hot.

i know it's cosplay, but the lady dressed as Yuzu.... (so, how to say it without sounding like a dick????), ummmmm, looked faker than fake and out of place. maybe it's because i have an issue with people that bleach their hair. bad bleach jobs look crappy most times and in that photo it completely distracted from the mood and intimacy being conveyed.

I just compared the magazine chapter with this version... When this first came out I didn't realize how different they were. This version is MUCH better! It gets much more into Kase's thoughts and has so much more detail. (Not to mention the wet shirt part near the end where Kase is totally turned on by Yamada's sexy bra showing through while the naive Yamada is totally clueless that she is turning making her girlfriend so hot! That was priceless!)

I do love this series. It is fantastic! Such a similar concept to "The Princess's Mirror", but just enough different to give it a unique flavor.

actually, i was thinking this is more along the lines of Morinaga-sensei's Girlfriends especially towards the end of the series; however, i think i understand your comparison with Princess Mirror. Hmmm... i wonder if Takashima Hiromi is a fan of Morinaga-sensei?

But I think there's a low probability (for now) that Harumi would chase after Yuzu, because just like what Matsuri said, "It might sound wise to cautiously watch things play out from a distance, but it just means you're afraid of getting hurt. You're always running away from conflict." If Harumi really is running away from her feelings by putting up a Gyaru front, then she's clever enough to know what's better for them.

Yeah, I think I wrote it way earlier in this thread but I think Harumin is probably going to be the last love triangle of the manga. As you said, she is the only person that could act as an actual rival for Mei, so I think she is going to be the last push for Mei to actually commit to Yuzu. Which would kinda suck, really.

this sounds plausible. especially since Harumin has a natural ability to read people. i'd make sense for her to behave in a manner that would "encite" jealousy in Mei.

As for Harumin coupling? I keep thinking it's going to be with Matsuri. In that short extra (iirc ch. 12.5), Matsuri kept probing Harumin and even to a degree read her like a book. it may sound like an ill conceived pairing, but it's one i think would work out quite well.

I want Yuzu to realize that relationship or love isn't just about lust and wanting to touch each other every goddamn time.

I think she does know that though. She tries her best to make Mei happy and even though she said it was because she was scared, when Mei wanted to make out with her (since apparently, that's her sure-fire method to make all problems disappear), Yuzu only pushed her back after seeing her sad and/or lonely expression (which seems like a huge turn-off, by the way). And, well, she can't choose who she falls in love with.

agreed, plus she (Yuzu) is still trying to work out her feelings towards Mei. I think over the next 2-3 chapters (at least I hope over that period) Yuzu will wrestle with her emotions and 'figure' it out. for now we need to see how Saburouta resolves the whole Sara arc. I am particularly interested in how Mei's character is going to dance around what IMHO is one whopper of a lie told to Yuzu.

So what am i looking for?

1. what will Yuzu's reaction be to Mei's reply that she accepted Sara's feelings and will date her.
2. if Mei half-heartedly pushes Yuzu away (i expect her to say one thing but act differently which should kick up the angstiness 10-fold).
3. how many chapters focus on Mei if any (i think we will get one solid chapter that focuses strictly on Mei, at least that is my hope).
4. if this arc is a setup to a season cliff-hanger. i cannot really point to any particular facts/points in these last two chapters. it just feels like a setup. the basic premise has been kind of soft and nebulous, and going on past cliff-hangers, it feels like we're being prepared for a soft landing.

They are pretty much all canon, kissing and groping each other. The two photo couple particularly. They are already dating, just not admitting it x)

totally agree. Now Onoda-chan just meeds to meet someone. maybe an undercover brainiac or at least someone that can best Onoda-san until she cries uncle and then they become friends.

If you are referring to the viewpoint from the just released chapter 7, that's still early in the series. There's lots of development to go.

If you mean the viewpoint of the latest chapter 34, it's too soon to make assumptions with three chapters left. (No, I'm serious.) Major events are coming in just this next chapter 35. I mean Tsumugi oops, that's saying too much! Right now I'm trying hard to get the next two chapters out as soon as I can, and they will change how some things are seen. And then there's chapter 37; it's the final chapter*, of course it brings more things into focus.

In fact, since the point in volume 3 when Fuuko transferred back home, it's been building up to these last three chapters. They are the climax folks. You are free to disagree once you've seen them, but that will still be my opinion.

I'm more curious towards what Mei's true answer to Sara after Sara confessed, because it wasn't shown that Mei actually said something that resembles "Yes, let's go out" and also... Sara only confessed and didn't say something like "Would you go out with me?" or things like that. In other words, Mei's statement "I decided to go out with that person" might just be a lie to see how Yuzu would react to it.
Particularly Mei's last sentence to Sara at chapter 14 "Would you say... that you need me?". What's her following answer after that?

possibly. the question we all have to ask ourselves is, 'does Mei equate love with purpose/(self)worth or is she trying to see if Yuzu needs her not out of love, but for some other purpose'? by that, let's go back to the teacher she was "engaged" to. in that case, he did not love her. he wanted to use her. she was no more than a tool. with respect to her grandfather, while i am sure he loves her in this own way, she was being groomed to take over the school. so there as well, the grandfsther needed Mei, but for the purpose of the school. now we come to Yuzu. Yuzu does not need Mei for any purpose other than love. It will be interesting to see how Yuzu reacts to Mei's rejection, because once she thinks about the question, it should make her angry enough to confront Mei. We shall she.

Now that I think about Mei's reasoning for asking the question, i wonder if it is two-fold. one being the points i mention above, but the other being that Mei herself may still be trying to understand what love and to love someone really means. for all the reasons i mention above, she doesn't have much experience with heartfelt romantic or familial love, so i question if she is using that question to approach it from a logical, more methodical POV.

ok, that's just my $0.02 and maybe i'm overthinking it. Also, now that we all know what Yuzu thinks and feels (for the most part), I wonder if we will be treated to more of Mei's POV. we get glimpses of it, but she is a shroud of mystery. IMO, i think we the readers (and especially those most vocal about their displeasure with the story) would find more empathy and willingness to go along with the story instead of finding fault, but again, that is just my humble opinion.

I actually got bored of Mira after reading a bit of Earth Girls...but after the praise here I decided to take a look. The art itself doesn't do much (although it is good), but the C-section line fucking slayed me.

that line was good, but i lost it when the mother, Keiko, says, "when you haven't had it in a while, your sensitivity to sex goes way up."

i "almost" feel selfish for saying this, but i hope Stretch gets licensed and published after it concludes. I really would like to buy a hard copy. and if it is released, it would be wonderful if it could be released as one complete story (ok, i've thrown my wish out into the universe; i hope it happens).

Say the printed version at Barnes & Nobles today, I have to say it was pretty cool! It also looked great in the physical form.

I also saw Kisses, Sighs, & Cherry Blossom Pink as well as Girl Friends. I must say, it was awesome to see them on the shelves.

ssshhhhhhhhh.... do not say it too loudly. B&N may yank them from the shelves.... lol, ok, that was a load of... but i have seen a lot more titles on the shelves than i ever expected to see. as for KSCB AND Girlfriends, imho i think it is only because it is Morinaga-sensei. Oh yeah, also saw Gakuen Polizi vol. 1 (noticing a pattern?) Also saw Nisekoi Boyfriend which really shocked me. I just wish they would add more titles both online and in store, but that is probably never going to happen.
