I get why this would be upsetting to some, and it's a fair reaction (to the horror of compulsory heterosexuality, lack of communicaton, internalized misogyny, etc.). But I think there's a nice attempt here at highlighting problems. (Unless I'm reading too much into it.) And while it's sad certainly, it's not quite eternal doom. It's technically possible for both of them to learn and recover from this situation.
I agree, imo* this story felt more realistic than 60% of the mangas in here, sometimes people are assholes just 'cause, and many times good relationships fall off due to lack of communication and understanding (like one person wanting a casual thing while the other wants a serious relationship), Seo and Kyoko would had been fine if they both had a serious conversation about all of the issues, like Kyoko taking advantage of men or the rumors for example.
And sometimes, it do be like that.
It was depressing as fuck though, so many things that could've been avoided, just like with normal relationships irl, no matter if romantic or not, misunderstandings just suck.
