Patenting it kind of makes me weary though. Whenever that's done it usually just leads to a monopoly for something that should be readily available for everyone. Then again whoever is your employer is financing that reaearch to make profit, so it can't be helped.

Plenty of straight guys like yuri despite not being gay or girls, so you really shouldn't worry about it. What you like has nothing to do with your identity (usually) and nothing should be excluded from anyone for any reason.

But straight guys like girls, so that is kind of a redundant argument in this situation. If you mentioned gay guys reading Yuri, that would be a lot more meaningful.

Though obviously you are correct about there being no limitations.

At the end of Extra, Tamamo specifically said because she was an aspect of Amaterasu, she will be able to remember Hakuno through all timelines and will wait until the very end of the universe being recreated if that's what it takes to meet her again. For all intents and purposes Tamamo is one of the only Servants who keeps her memory of each summoning.
Initially FGO even acknowledged that fact, by Tamamo insinuating that she already has someone she loves and wants to return to, while Nero does not, because she loses her memory after each summoning like a proper Servant copy. But because fanservice and fanart, Tamamo slowly just turns into another generic waifu bait character who must flirt with Gudako all the time. I could even see the flirting just being a natural part of her persona, but they always gotta push it too far... sigh

^Oh yes, especially Tamamo. Everytime I see her paired up with Gudao/Gudako it makes me cringe. Not that FGO or artists ever cared about the lore.

I don't see the advantage for a species like this to limit themselves biologically, but then succubi aren't real to begin with and terribly defined by Japanese pop culture.

Believe it or not, Yuri's main demographic/target audience in Japan is straight girls. Romance has universal aspects to it, so often you can enjoy things that go beyond your sexuality. Sure, guys are usually more appalled by BL, but I've known many who read or watch it anyway. And girls are just 10 times more open to that on average.

Just saying, if the target audience is supposed to be like you, can't really go wrong.

BugDevil, she's 100% dere, 0% tsun. Just she tries (stil in full dere mode) to deny it. I think it would rather need a "transparent closet" or "suspiciously specific denial" tag.

Sounds like a mild tsundere to me. Being in denial, sometimes aggressively or while pouting, about being in love with her crush, while showing her cute side in specific moments. Tsundere is hot-cold after all.
The other reason might be that she is in the closet out of fear for MC's reaction, but... MC seems pretty frank and direct about it. She doesn't mind.

I have no ideas what a kuudere is, but I've seen people ealier in this forum mention that she's attempting to look like one. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Tsundere = Hot-cold. Can be nice in one moment and then harsh or violent in the next out of embarrassment. They can't deal with their emotions well. When written badly they just look bipolar due to that. They show their tsun and their dere to their partner.

Kuudere = Ice-cold. Always seems emotionless or unaffected, doesn't really show affection at all. But has her cute moments irregardless of her crush's influence. Might be nice to the crush sometimes, but on her own terms.

Dandere = Lukewarm. Is quiet and introverted, but not actually cold. They just don't say much or display their emotions easily, but they are still able to be dere towards their crush. It just might go unnoticed.

Yandere = Knife.

I appreciate that the MC doesn't give a single f*ck about conventions and just straight up knows her friend is in love with her and perceives her every cue and mercilessly points it out. Dense MCs get wrecked, this is a real protagonist (and it's a gag manga too).
Also uh... doesn't this require a tsundere tag? I can't really find any other explanation for why her friend is so insistent in being in denial.

I don't know anything about baseball, but it does keep my interest and it does seem to start with some good subtext between the MCs. It's totally possible that it goes nowhere, but MC at least rubbed her face all over her childhood friend's tummy and kept saying how she loves her smell. And if Shamiko has taught me anything, those are very good signs.

Between Asteroids in love and Oshibudo it's hard to pick a favorite show this season, but I have to say Oshibudo is making a very strong point with this official video:

I always appreciate when companies go out of their way to make their own AMVs haha! And this one's focused on the only thing that matters too. Very good.
For me it's not even a question which is better. Budoukan had me always entertained, while Koisuru managed to actually drag a lot which is a bit sad.

Indeed. The overly pretty and popular yuri mangaka falls in love with a relatively average fan. It's a bit cliche even as self-inserts go.
