Probably basking in the "our daughter is a brilliant musician" fame among all the neighbors and gossipmongers and completely failing to even consider that this might be doing fucked up things to her mental state.

... that stolen plotlines thing feels like a revelation pulled straight out the ass. Why does he even do that? I fail to see how this even benefitted him... like maybe you get a better final product if you combine a good plotline with good drawings, but surely you just could... make two people involved in the creation of the manga (like he actually suggested in his initial excuse)? How is this even worth it, a decent risk of getting found out for relatively little payoff?

That guy is not an evil mastermind, he's just a dumbass.

I think he wants to be known as the editor of a single stand-out star, rather than of a collab. Also presumably this way they only have to pay one person instead of two, although that may be beyond the level of an editor's concern. But I suspect it's mostly egotism: he wants to be able to brag that every mangaka he's in charge of is brilliant, so that he can look down his nose at everyone else.

Just a heads up that /u/ scanlations (specifically me and Urbs) will be picking this up in lieu of Yuri Ichigo's mysterious absence.

I can sympathize with Shiho, but only mildly. It does hurt to struggle with everything to have to accomplish something, only to see someone who doesn't even seem to care about it blow straight passed you. But that doesn't excuse her ruining her friendships and attacking other people who aren't as focused on being the best.

There's something disturbing about that faceless cat doll, even putting aside all the supernatural stuff.

Still, I can't wait to see the rest. Will we learn more about thse girls' lives, or will they remain mysteries even to each other for the whole time? There's something compelling about them just traveling together without even knowing each other's real names.

^^Hololive and Nijisansi seem pretty friendly on a whole. I can't speak for corporate stuff behind the scenes, but they regularly let their talents collab with each other and such.

I don't trust anime studios any more. We've gotten a few of my favorite female protagonist stories adapted, and they always screw them up.

12 Kingdoms and Seirei no Moribito went well. Scrapped Princess anime was better than the novel translations. Kino no Tabi. Spice and Wolf ('protagonist' is debatable I guess.) Ghost in the Shell. Yona. Akagami no Shirayukihime. Ouran Host Club. Karin.

Those are all older than the stuff I'm worrying about, but you are correct that I should have said "adapted recently" instead to specify that it's the recent trend of such shows that I'm concerned about, rather than just ALL female protagonist shows. Otherside Picnic, Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear, and Make My Abilities Average are a few of the shows whose adaptations have been less than stellar, in my opinion.

If it weren't for the fact that it would have doomed the entire town to be eternally trapped in an endless fairy tale written by an undead madman, I would very much have supported this ship.

One of the things I love about Anne Sophia is that while she never hides her attraction to Euphie, she also very deliberately avoids placing any romantic pressure on the girl. In more stories than I can count when one character loves another they'll put in at least some effort at making their romance target fall in love with them in turn. But our princess here is doing her damnedest to respect Euphie's boundaries and not pressure her into any sort of relationship that she doesn't want. While simultaneously not hiding her own desires at all.

It's a fascinating balance.

Coincidentally, I had Bury the Light from Devil May Cry 5 playing in the background as I read this chapter. That little rescue at the end of the chapter is much more awesome when Anne Sophia is the storm that is approaching.

So it looks like our princess is getting Euphie on her side this time when it comes to the idea of Anise infusing a magical stone into her body? That's quite a change from the WN, given how horrified Euphie was at what Anise had done to herself when she discovered it.

It's good to see more chapters of this series. The slow release rate just kills me.

anime studios better halt animating isekai hetero harems with the same premise over and over again. IFTV is here and this one too with amazing plot, there's a lot of light novels with female leads that has a good story getting snob just for your usual isekai harem. This should get more attention, I just love Anise's character so much

If I was able to travel back 10 years in time, knowing what I know now, the last thing I'd do is work at a coffee shop! I'd be a multi-millionaire.

Do you actually know enough off the top of your head without having to look up any details to be able to do that? If you were sent back with no idea that it was going to happen, only possessing whatever you were carrying with you, with ID that would be considered invalid because it hadn't been issued yet, only whatever money you had with you, etc., do you really think you'd know the details you'd need and have the resources you'd need to actually become rich?

I don't think I would.
