If nothing else there's an interesting contrast between Igarashi and Mai. The former backs the Hell off the second she gets a definite confirmation Chidori's "spoken for" nowadays, the latter grabs onto the ephemeral chance of having a shot at Nanoha once she learns of their relationship.

Granted they're also coming into the situation from what are well-nigh the polar opposite circumstances aside from their prior acquaintance with their respective persons of interests...

tbf actual octopi manage to be a remarkably expressive bunch for critters that A) have no faces as we would understand them B) mostly communicate with each other by changing color; body language translates surprisingly well over even such immense species gaps :P

The idea that Miyoshi may be actively deflecting the topic whenever this stuff comes up certainly seems plausible enough; if so it's probably for much the same likely reasons Onoda's so obtuse about Nanasawa's advances - being at a loss how to deal with the matter and second-guessing her own reading of the signals.

Yeah, heredity being the kind of crapshoot it now is I don't think I personally know of very many cases of siblings looking particularly similar (one exception being my mother and one of her older sisters, who apparently sometimes get mistaken for each other by passing acquaintances). If anything it seems more common for them to clearly take after different sides of their parentage...

Calling her unharmed is a bit too much. She's clearly wounded and because she spend most of the time immediately after getting shot in ice, bleeding was somewhat stopped. She only run at the very end to save Meng Long, but is visibly straining herself. If fight didn't end here and she had to kept moving and fighting, I bet we'd see a seriously drop in her capabilities and maybe even fainting due blood lost. Still, it was far cry from "killing off best character".

Basically unharmed. The degree of injury she has files under those essentially cosmetic comicbook/shounen-manga wounds whose main purpose is to look dramatic and impact can be ignored wholesale according to the immediate needs of the plot.
I give it maybe a chapter tops 'till she's made a full recovery.

That's why they were going to hire a famous illustrators for the key visual of PECO if Kou rejected. For example, you would immediately hype when you heard Hideo Kojima was making a new game if you are a fan of Metal Gear, and making you want to buy the game.

But can you out of hand name any of the people who worked on the graphics on Kojima's games...? Because I sure as shit can't.

It's rather like movies. The average consumer remembers the big-name actors, maybe the director, soundtrack composer if particularly noteworthy, very rarely the scriptwriter(s) and such if separate from the previous - and that'd pretty much it. Only seriously hardcore buffs and industry professionals will be able to recognise anyone from the very long list of assorted technical staff in the credit rolls.

Yurika is still in quite some denial about the effect she consistently has on guys. Though that may arguably be a facet of the same stubborn streak that leads her to invoke her Power of Gigolette against all comers - having set her mind on something (in this case bagging a hubby) she just refuses to back down from the challenge regardless of the apparent odds stacked against her.

Which in this case happen to be about insurmountable.

Arguably the only reason the MahiMahi havent yet clued in and aren't fucking like rabbits is they're somewhat late bloomers who haven't yet grokked to the whole romance business, never mind now hanky panky. Though Yuu and Mari may be slowly rubbing off on them.
