and now i seem to be on the other side of this argument, luckily my stance on this has changed somewhat, yes you could change her to a male but then that would defeat her character point, she is a lot like haruka from sailor moon in that she has a lot of traits you would normally associate with a men but is still feminine enough to be seen as female which defies gender norms and i like that a lot.
Yuri doesn't have to make a big deal about them going out to be yuri, yuri is girls love, right there in the definition and that's all it needs to be for me..........this is also why i would like certain sites like exhentai to separate tags so we have actual loving yuri and lesbian sex in two tags -_-
Well i'm not demeriting this as an yuri, it's one of my favorites series in this site if not the best even if it doesn't come with the struggles of being a lesbian that i relate to so much
But as far as the state of their relationship goes, there's definitively more predominant stuff over their awkwardness than their gender
I think it's okay if it appears to be just a normal relationship. Same insecurities, doubts and fears which will happen to any teen. Sure, it'd be nice if it included the extra struggles of not fitting into the accepted heterosexual norm, but it's so rare to see fluff done truly well which is why I'm content with how this is going.
Props to Swype for recognising "heterosexual" as "bisexual" haha I'm probably not precise enough.
