Just binged the whole series (~15 min), got reminded how the uncle was pretty damn cool. Also got reminded about how Mitsuki had a slightly biased bad impression of Aya at the start (popular girl). It was nice to see that Mitsuki wasn't badly treated by her classmates or ignored, like usually happens to "nerdy" characters. The way the author has done this to this point makes the eventual reveal be not a big deal I think, particularly if they get closer as friends before it happens.

She's been had, hornswoggled, and quite possibly bamboozled!

That was a poor attempt at a joke. Usually when the girl comes around later, you find out she was younger/less mature than you thought, this time it's the other way around (at least in my mind). If she was that surprised by how quickly she grew/matured, maybe she didn't know or realize, or didn't know her parents were dosing her with super-growth hormones.

Metric better show up at some point in this playlist. Canadian indie deserves love too.

Nothing against Canadian indie bands, but I bet the only Canadian bands that'll ever get mentioned are Rush and/or The Kings considering how there's a classic bias to the bands mentioned thus far.

People were talking about her voice, but honestly I think the reality is that Mitsuki doesn't talk enough to Aya at school for Aya to really have evidence to piece together "hey, record shop boy sounds a lot like that girl from my class."

The way I see it, we needn't analyze too deeply. It's like debating why doesn't Lois Lane ever realize that Superman sounds just like Clark Kent.

My father explained that to me as a child (a looong time ago), it's the fact that Lois Lane is a feather-headed idiot (he used FAR harsher language). For proof of this you only needed to read the comics to see her get warned, usually by Superman himself, to stay away from something/one and she would run straight to him/her/it and get into trouble, then have to be saved by Superman. Over, and over, and over.

Agreed. Not to mention, nothing happened. No objectionable physical contact, at least. The author did give her phone number but that isn't a crime. Creepy? Yes, a little. While I wouldn't encourage her behavior, I don't quite get all the outrage some have had over this. I'm starting to get the "I want to be upset over something, and this is conveniently here" vibe from some of the other commenters.
