It's kind of surreal reading these chapters where you get a drama, tension-filled story whenever it's Kanda's point of view, but then pure comedy whenever it's Ookuma's point of view.

What a nice, cute story about two normal friends who do normal things who both like each other the normal amount.

This is the sweetest, most wholesome story out there right now, and they need to stop foreshadowing some future conflict because if anything wipes the smile off these two ladies I am going to scream.

Okay, so I'm guessing she was in love with the neighbor girl and probably thought her feelings were at least a little reciprocated. But not only was that not the case, neighbor girl didn't even really like her. The fact that neighbor girl never talked to Ito after she graduated high school shows she didn't really care about her. So Ito not only found out her love was reciprocated, but also had her, "Don't meet your heroes" moment. Now she's finding herself in a similar situation with Sumika and is doing what she can to pull back.

Is this how kids are doing it nowadays? I suddenly feel old.
