It is a very old racist term for a black person. I grew up in Kentucky, which is basically 20 years behind the rest of the world at any given point, so old terms like that were still tossed around quite a bit even in the 80s and 90s. I've heard my own mother use it a few times too, among others. /sigh

This has actually come up before, so I did some Google-fu back then. Those wall units, while called air-conditioners, provide both heating and cooling as the need arises. Presumably she turned the heat on, lol.

I've been a WoW player since 2006. I have played this Death Knight character since early 2009. I actively go by the name "Grey" IRL and have done for about 10 years now. :)

Most notably, and importantly. it has NOTHING to do with "Fifty Shades of Grey", but everyone associates it with that now even though me and my character predate that series by many years.... :(
